It was obvious in season 2. That scene when Anita is in the skate park and Joel keeps pushing her to jump... it was paramount & helped me figure out why I couldn't warm up to Joel in s2. He kept pushing her to do stuff she didn't want to do throughout the season. In that scene, Anita explained she was scared OF DYING and didn't want to jump but he didn't listen and made her even more anxious. Then Fabricio showed up and taught her how to skateboard and she felt relaxed and ready to face her fears. That was the moment I chose a side of the triangle. It became obvious that Joel didn't know how to support her in a moment of crisis, but this came naturally to Fabricio who always knew how to calm her down because he was better at reading her. After a rewatch I realised that Fabricio had shown this since s1. At Luiza's wedding he figured out how Anita was feeling and tried to calm her down by letting her know that his life was also a mess. He looked concerned as he saw her struggle with the Carol/Eduardo situation...In s2 & 3 he constantly asks Anita "Tudo bem?" & respects her space. He did this when her father died & he gave her time to process her loss. He seems to instinctively know how to react in a way she doesn't find invasive or pushy. I also appreciate the fact that Fabricio didn’t hack her social media account (Joel 🤨) or break into her house (Henrique 🤐).
Wow, you made some excellent points, and I totally agree with your perspective! That scene at the skate park really highlighted the differences between Joel and Fabrício. While I think Joel was a great friend and time-traveling buddy, he definitely had moments where he pushed Anita too far. Fabrício, on the other hand, always seemed to know how to support her in the right way, giving her the space she needed and understanding her better emotionally. I love how you noticed those little details from season 1-especially at Luiza's wedding. That’s actually why I included that scene in my edit, because it seemed like Fabrício was already deeply connected to Anita, even back then. Their bond really stood out from the start 🥰🥰🥰 And honestly, between Joel hacking her social media and Henrique breaking into her house, it’s no surprise Fabrício ended up being the one 😅 At least he didn't need to go full stalker to win her over 😂

Joel was a nice guy, but yeah, he was too pushy for Anita while her bond with Fabricio developed more naturally.
