I can tell you when pressing those pins out is scary af hahah
We couldn't agree more. Can't be too careful when using one of these presses. Thanks for watching Josh!
Wow freaking awesome I tried doing this by hand with a sledgehammer, now I see why the pin didn’t budge
They are difinitely in there tight! We appreciate you watching Tyler! Have a great day!
Great work !
Another great tool for a heavy duty job! Thanks for showing us how it's done!
Thanks Demetrio! We appreciate all of your support brother. Have a great day!
Thank You ! Good Work Done There
I did field track and u/c repair for 40 years with caterpillar dealers. I remember when I first started in the business it was all 20 lb sledge and plan maul to separate tracks. I was ecstatic when we got a portable track press.
It's definitely a game changer Kirby! And makes for a few less chiropractic appointments as well! Thanks for watching and taking to time to say hey! Have a great day brother!
This guy is one hell of a field tech!
One of these track presses retired my old boss 2 years early....iv always worn a face shield affter witnessing that.......that's all I'm going to say
Super sorry to hear that brother. We appreciate the advise and what you are saying makes sense. Can't be too careful. Thanks for watching and we hope you have a great day.
@@NewmanTractor Do you use the safety Blanket? We are dealing with WTC right now on this machine and quote includes the sling and a safety blanket. Curious if the blanket is worth the $300
I really really don't miss the rental game.
thanks
i've watched a few of your videos and i appreciate you guys making them. the quality of them is superior. which makes me curious, did you guys hire someone to make these videos or did a current employee do this in addition to what they were hired to do?
So cool, indeed I would enjoy joining you
this dude is legit
Thank you so much, Christopher! We’re super stoked on Nate and grateful to have him on the team for almost 20 years! Appreciate you following along, man!
Great work Nate! Let WTC know if we can be of any service (or support)
I wish I was younger so that I could work for this guy...
Hey Michael! It’s never too late to start! It’s an awesome industry and a great career. We are super lucky to have a solid team of great mechanics too.

Well-thanks!
Just turned 57 last Monday. I have some automotive tools but also an Earthquake 3/4" cordless impact.
I do even think about working on cars: been there done than 20-years ago. If I move to switch to being a mechanic, it will be with heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
After 20 years with the 20 pound hammer I finally built a 100 ton press. Made it a bunch easier.
That's great to hear, Daniel! Congrats on the press and keep up the hard work. Thank you for following along!
Hi.
Great video. Thank you.
Is there any need for the music and fancy camera effect? The message itself powerfull enough, don't you reckon?
Nate! Tell me, what are single bar grousers?
What's the process for extracting that pin if it's no longer straight?
inshaAllah if there is an opportunity and given the opportunity I would like to work with you one day, hopefully in good condition brother#new people in heavy machinery✌
Hey Muhd! Thanks so much for following along and for your comment! Our opportunities available right now are live on our careers page if you want to check them out! www.newmantractor.com/careers
If I didn’t have a degree in chemistry I would definitely send my resume. Hell I still might.
Ha just saw this comment! Thanks for your support David! Make sure to subscribe and share to see the latest engine build Nate has bee up to!
How much do field techs make per year doing that kind of work? Is $40 per hr too little or too high?
I so want to be part of the team but alas I live in a different country😑
Just made a press for a 30 ton ram to use on crane tracks. The pins are not press fit but get bent. 20lb sledge hammer sucks.
Sounds awesome. Good luck with that Brent! Thanks for watching and have. Agreat day!
Shake hands with danger!
Lol...do that where you can't get the ST in...then I'll be impressed
Just dont ....shake hands with danger!
I didn't even understand what they did in this video.
Took a set of tracks off one machine and installed it on another as the grouser plates are different . But to seperate the tracks they have a master pin and they need to be pressed out or hit out with a sledge hammer and dolly. He was showing how much easier it is with the press opposed to the hard work of using a sledge hammer etc . But be warned they can be very dangerous (never stand in the line of fire)
Thanks for the clarification Jai. We really appreciate you guys watching. Great safely advice on this one for sure. Have a great day!
Je suis à la recherche d'un emploi et j'ai de l'expérience dans le domaine, si possible, j'attends votre réponse.
Thanks for following along! You can check out the jobs we have available at www.newmantractor.com/careers
Is it really so difficult for you to balance the volume of speech and the dark pungent music this hole of an editor allowed in?
Looks like fun but then the weather gets shitty and then it's no longer fun. In fact, it becomes way too dangerous at that point.
Track press is a life saver and an older field mechanic taught me that same technique for installation of tracks! Thanks Nate another great video! Keep them coming!👍
