Hi Rebecca and Zesties, I have days that I have so many things to do, as I too am self-employed, that it can be overwhelming. I just sit down and diamond paint to clear my head. I think we all have those days. Glad you have your quilting for a change up. Thanks for the wip and waffles. You're the best.

    Warning: Long comment ahead -
Hi Rebecca and Zesties, after my long break from anything remotely self care related I have finally come out of my chronic fatigue down period (6 months long this time) and have managed to complete quite a lot of smaller 30x30 and paint gem paintings since june - I had only managed 3 paint gem sets between Jan and June.
I 'frame' my paint gems in magnetic backed photo pockets and add them to my classroom whiteboard and frame my 30x30s in magnetic picture frames which i stick to the windows of my classroom with nano glue dots. My students are loving seeing the completed works and have great fun rearranging the paint gem gallery - especially my 18yo senior students (sometimes i think it is an opportunity to bunk off doing work - math is hard after all 🤯).
I have quite a large stash still to do of the smaller paintings but decided this school holidays to embark on one of my many larger paintings in my stash. So this week i started cookies and classics by Randal Spangler 94x70 and have finally made use of the cover paper I ordered from you as the 30x30s i generally do in 1 session.
I do have a question for all out there and you - how long do you go before replacing your putty or glue dots (still haven't got the hang of dots, cant seem to get them in the pen the way i like). Rebecca, I know you've said they last a long time, but quantifiably how long is this in terms of number of paintings or size of area and why do you replace putty (obviously the dots are replaced because they don't stick anymore)? 2nd question - what is every ones preferred medium for AB diamonds, especially multi-placing?
Thanks for all you do for all your Zesties and I can't wait for the advent DP to be available. I have my advent calendar all tucked away and will be diamond painting along with the advent waffles over our summer holidays (Australia) and day 11 does double duty as an advent gift and bithday gift.
I'd love to see updated videos on loading and using glue dots/strips especially for the ones you sell in your shop, also a video on your desk set up with and without a painting that shows your easel and other tools you use regularly and how your large paintings are set up on your easel as well as tools you wouldn't recommend and your non filming couch painting setup and painting stash storage.
Hope you and your family (megan, catherine, caris, hubby and son) are doing well. Happy to have any zesties reply to my questions.

If you or DAS have to absorb the cost of getting new advent paintings created, perhaps you can just wait out the train being held hostage. If the paintings arrive in time for this year that would be great. If not, save the painting for next year, we can enjoy our daily presents in the advent package and you can work on the red Christmas painting every day to satisfy our Rebecca fix for a daily wip & waffle. I would hate for you to lose money on this activity by paying a second time to get the paintings. Just my opinion though. Maybe other Zesties would want me tarred and feathered for suggesting such an idea. 😂

Yay for another Thursday WIP and Waffle!!! And yay for almost competing Walking in the Rain!!!
Today, Friday September 27 I officially graduated from Physical Therapy on my foot/leg from surgery! I have my next follow up with my surgeon on Wednesday to hopefully be cleared to get back to normal activities and exercises.
We are 10 days away from my dogs bladder cancer surgery. Between online, and a great friend We have raised $520 of the $800 for it. Which we are so grateful for. We will continue to try to raise the rest before surgery day, by sharing our fundraiser on Facebook, but no matter what he is having surgery. But my mama heart is both happy and anxious.
On weather, here in Minnesota, USA, it been 80 degrees (26.7 c)! Which is crazy for us! I'm wondering where our fall is!!! Lol. Next week it's supposed to drop down to the 60's (15.6c) so it should feel like fall. I like fall because it's not too hot but not too cold.

My aunt says we all need a self care day every once in a while it’s okay not to have a set schedule to be done and just be.

Omg I also had a week that just disappeared. On Monday Jack came out of school holding his head saying it really hurts to the point it feels like it's going to explode. When he got home he took Calpol and laid down. Definitely not feeling well as he went to bed. Within 10 minutes he was being sick. This didn't stop until gone midnight. Today was his first day back to school. I did my Thursday plans but kept saying it is Tuesday all day. 😆 hope you feeling more like yourself.
Also on a different note. I am currently not diamond painting. I have court the crocheting bug. I have crocheted myself a jumper. Now making one for my mum for her birthday at the end of November. I have also nearly finished that as can't put it down, so thinking about making my god mother a cardigan for Christmas. Sorry zesties I just used a naughty word beginning with C 😆
Have a great weekend to all. Much love.

Cornish shortbread is delish. I also got some Cornish fairings too when I went on my break. I bought some for work too but I kept the ones in the nice tins so I can reuse the tins ❤ if you go to Cornwall I recommend going to where doc Martin was filmed and head to the chapel cafe they do delish cream teas x

My sister absolutely loved Richard Osman's books, so I found one in the Op Shop, Well, well! I thought it was awful. His writing is so FULL, I felt exhausted after reading only 5 pages. His brain is so fast, his fingers go faster, therefore you get word overload as you read.

Hi Rebecca dance Season has started. The only down size is that I dance 5/7 days a week. Most of those days are short but it’s still very much suffocating. I for one appreciate a good do nothing day, so I can focus more on myself that day. I always go a do a big project the next day and try to make up for lost time.

As kids we used to guess the cities on the license plates of cars driving before or behind us. Or we've had just other things to entertain us like reading or sleeping. But the most trips were to Switzerland in our childhood which is a 3,5h drive. I think we were calm the most time on the trips if you're aksing me. Maybe my parents would say something different. 🤣

While driving to grandparents house for a visit when I was a kid (from SW Michigan to SW Illinois) my folks gave a quarter to the kid who saw the capital building of Springfield, Illinois first. Since the trip took 8 hours to get to their house, and Springfield was approximately 6 1/2 hours into the trip, I think it was an idea my folks came up with to shut my brother and I up from asking “are we almost there yet”. Of course, it was normally my older brother who won and then I would get mad because he always won. How my parents survived those trips, I have no idea. Yes, I slept in the car then too, but come on…we’re going to grandparents house and I couldn’t sleep for the whole time. 😂

    Hi rebecca,sorry long one!
My week improved earlier this week when we accepted another offer on the house. We have offered and been accepted on the 4 bed house in CumbriaI mentioned last time. So things are moving again. Some people are saying we will be in for Christmas but I am not holding my breath.
I tried working on a diamond painting last week but more drills were landing on floor than on the canvas, so I ordered a lap desk with built in easle and I will give that a go when I get the time. I had a craft room in this house but it was a family room so I couldn't close a door. I have already planned the room I will have as a craft room in the new house, craft table and sewing table with plenty of storage.

About the real estate sales process in the US----now that I think about it my experience is mostly with new construction. However the times that I have upgraded my house I just carried both homes while the old one sold. It's stressful but doable. Most people try to sell first and rent month to month or stay with family while their purchase goes through. Those people mostly use storage facilities. Its funny because those storage spots are everywhere in the us. Maybe thats why there is such a thriving business --people need to put their stuff somewhere while closings happen. LOL

Hi Rebecca! I don't often zoom in while you're DP'ing, however, today I was watching as you were placing the 726s (yellow) in the lower right corner of today's section and the symbol shown on your pot lid looked like an open "o" whereas on the canvas it looked more like a closed "o" almost like a dot. In the grand scheme of things, the color difference may not matter, but if you are short on 726, that might explain why. I hope I'm wrong, though. 😊 Blessings to you and the fam!

So little update on my crazy life, we woke up to snow on the ground this morning, and we are on the move again, moved here 4 months ago but the job wasn't right for our family. So two days ago my partner got offered a new job 4.5hours away. So we are now in the process of packing 😢 again. And finding movers and a new job for me as they didn't have work for me. All very scary at the moment as I've never left my area for 20 years. And that was only heading to Australia for 10 months and then came back.

Hi, I'm from Australia is this might just be an us thing but do you not have a settlement date? For instance you would put down a deposit of however much (normally 10%) and then you have a settlement date when you give the rest of the money. A settlement can be anything from 30 days to 6 months. But once again that could just be an Australian thing.
P.S you can't move in to the home until the settlement date
