Yep, I remember shiny, shiny floors growing up with an Italian mother. It was so bad I thought the movie "The Shining" was about an Italian Nonna gone wild with OCD cleaning tendencies.

One thing I loved about Italy was not needing insect screens in windows! Flies and mosquitos are so bad here in Canada, if even you have a small rip in a screen they all just let themselves in 😠

That bird cage is awful, the poor bird doesn’t have much space to fly around. Shame on the person who keeps it in there, it’s cruel.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw that. It breaks my heart. 💔Unfortunately people who keep animals encaged lack empathy, they can't understand the pain or discomfort others (animals) may feel. They see nothing wrong in what they are doing to others.
