Still think her best song is her very first song/video "Ocean Eyes". The tempo could be a tad faster IMO but unlike a lot of her "now popular stuff" you realty get to hear her singing vocals,

sorry , saw the guitars so thought there would be reaction to music or song. Billie and Finneas are music masters. but no, just a step by step guess of pieces of the video. oh well.

I think you’re the first person I’ve seen that didn’t at least nod to the beat. I didn’t know that was even possible. To just sit motionless during the song. The groove is undeniably good.
So this was basically just something that could’ve been watched on mute 🤣
    Let me clue you in..
A little info for what the video is about/the concept behind it, and about the song title. 'Chihiro' is named after the lead character of the Hayao Miyazaki film Spirited Away. In the beloved 2001 movie, a 10-year-old girl named Chihiro moves with her parents and enters a spirit realm where her parents turn into pigs. The film follows Chihiro as she gains a new understanding and appreciation of life as she tries to save herself and her family.
For the song, she “envisioned a dream-like narrative” with “long, dark hallways and shutting of doors” in order to “symbolize the different corners of the mind,” according to a press release of the new music video. This could be seen as the musician and her costar Nat Wolff run away from each other through several rooms and even fight a few times in dark hallways and eventually outdoors.
In the music video, the pair just can’t seem to get rid of each other no matter how they try, which Eilish said was a representation of their “inescapable connection.” They appear to battle it out in the grass for the last few moments of the music video, before the music video ends with them sitting together in the grass during a sunset.
Eilish said this was meant to show the “external expression of an internal push and pull, as our deepest feelings of fear, love, or desire inevitably catch up to us, no matter how hard we try to run away,”

I purposefully didn't research anything before watching this video, so now that I read the background info you provided, I know my friend prediction was accurate: I was never going to get the interpretation right without knowing all that.
As far as me not rockin' out to the music, I had the volume down pretty low so the mic wouldn't pick it up while I was filiming, plus I was trying to just focus on the visual aspects of the video, and sometimes I notice that when I'm focusing pretty hard on the visual, I do stay pretty still. I've been told that men can't multi-task, so maybe that's my issue, but that's another topic for another time. I'll work on it.
Overall, I do like the song and the atmospherics of the music and her voice, and I do respect her talent and abilities as a singer and songwriter.
      Thank you for the feedback!

I think the real difficulty for you seems to be you're woefully out of touch with modern lyrical and visual references. Billie's of course as modern as they come, but this song title and the sequencing borrows from a famous Japanese anime feature that's more than a decade old. That also explains why he disappeared midway through the argument, the running in corridors, and so on.. Perhaps you can avoid visual distractions by reacting to just the audio first.

You're probably right. I'm not sure if other "reactors" that are near my age and reacted to this video had the same issue or not, because im sure they are in the same boat I'm in, but I will admit this is way out of my normal realm. Point taken and will consider that going forward. Thank you for your feedback!

@@vidtubevibe Painters and sketch artists get it. Age is probably not the determining factor. Just going by the music alone and no visuals, there's some interesting changes based on the toxicity of the relationship she's evoking.

I say "age" because I don't know too many people my age who are familiar with modern-day Japanese anime. Now that I said that, my brother-in-law is my age, and he is into a lot of anime from all different time periods. I'll have to show him this video and see if he gets the connection.
