The proficiency of those in leadership to speak English is amazing to me, a single language speaker. Their experience in salvage AND capability to convey information is impressive.
I'm sure the money is great so it would attract the best, but it's a young persons job. You never know what part of the world you'll be working in, you may get sent to a job thousands of miles from home for months at a time, working around the clock. That could be tough if you have a wife and kids. I worked on the road when I was young, but I got tired of it.
Interesting but... the way it was done made it just one long advertisement. If I had a dollar for every time the word "Mammoet" was said or portrayed, I'd be rich!
I could not watch your video because all you did was talk about your equipment I came to see you pick the ship up but it sucks so bad I couldn’t get it to that point
For what all the technology and manpower would charge I don't see that the sixty nine million vessel would be worth it. Once it is back in the water it will still have to be almost completely rebuilt. Saltwater is not kind to steel vessels and their equipment.
The shear cost of just moving all that heavy lift eqipment half way around the world and back a long. Never mind the million of dollars to prepare the ship and ground work for month of man power and machine. One would think it be far cheaper to cut the ship into peaces and scrap it. At the price of scrap steel being high. I can't see it being anything but a huge cost loss in even trying to re- float that less then half built ship. Even if it was paid by insurance to move an re- float it an move it into dry dock and repair the damage as well as cleaning the hull of hundreds of ponds of weld off the sides of the ship an ex- ray every welded area for any cracks in the hull in a a large area around every weld that was put on to hold them big triangle i-beam legs to lift on. Cracks from the huge stress on the steel hull from the lift and moving it. I as a welder and fabricator really think be far less cost to cut it up were it sits and sold off as scrap. I am sure any insurance carrier would write it off long before paying out that huge cost to do what they did over paying out the I praise the value of a partially built ship
CCP Propaganda.....This is Costa Concordia which ran aground and half capsized all due to human error of the bridge crew.....maybe your earthquake capsized a dinghy somewhere but it wasn't this vessel you pictired.......
what a lousy documentary this is! First off the COSTA CONCORDIA in the thumbnail is CLICKBAIT and has NOTHING to do with this incident. Secondly ENOUGH already about the SPMT vehicles. About half of this video is about those transporters and not about the actual salvage job. Then the actual footage of the salvage is horrible video quality. Was this shot on a super8 camera? This is clearly an attempt at cobbling together a lengthy video with marginal footage of the actual job, filled and stretched with useless and repetitive irrelevant advertising-like information on the company. Waste of time to watch this!
@@paulazemeckis7835 ... really? You have not figured out that you don't know how something is until you try it? Are you able to see what it is like before you see it? Know what food tastes like before you eat it to decide if it tastes good or bad? Wow.
I'm with you. I came to the comments looking for ones like yours. I love love love marine salvage footage. It's so hard to find actual good docs on salvage jobs.
The salvage master has got to be an alien. Look at his head and those little beady eyes and listen to him talk. I'll bet when their not being filmed he just salvages ships with his mind and moves them wherever he wants to. They should put some green makeup on him and put some little antennas on his temples and get him to say "take me to your leader" or "I will destroy your puny planet" 😂

That salvage master looks really smart.
He from another world lol 😂

The comment I needed
Pinky and the brain
I didn't know Megamind was doing salvage now.
Oh my god you beat me to it 😂
Amazing engineering and equipment 😊
Salvage master is probably really intelligent.
That dude got all the ideas 💡
🤣
Wtf has the Costa Concordia got to do with a tsunami????
The ship had to be salvaged.
Click bait!
i was scanning comments to see if anyone noticed or said anything about that. :)
@@thomaskeil1437 yes, but it doesn't excuse the misleading title.
I love all of you guys
Man! I feel sorry for that dude's mom!!
If it is big and stuck in the water, Call A Dutchman!
Just seems like an ad with very little actual salvaging going on.
So interesting Thank you for sharing this amazing lift. ❤
Mega mind had a perfect plan!
Mega mind! Hahaha. He's gotta be an alien!
Misleading thumbnail...
Why do channels do this :/
... clickbait, aka ripoff
Absolutely amazing work! The equipment, the tight fit and tolerances for moving anything is amazing. Thank you for sharing this video❗
With all the man power and all that equipment i'm amazed the company makes money
Wow! That was amazing!
Marketing video of company for more than 20+ minutes of a 40 minute video. But, so cool equipment. Amazing.
I grew up in Schiedam. amazing company and seen it grow and grow
Way to much talk and no salvage shown
I think these kinds of companies would have some of the best employees in the world

Yeah and ur wife gets lonely starts doing the pool cleaner kid. Lol
Interesting documentary
Could u imagine the bill for these services? WOW!!!

We were played like a DAMN Fiddle! 6:30
Mainly an advert with a little bit of salvage as an after thought...
Great video
Using the WREAK of the Costa Concordia as click-bate? Shame on you...DangerTV
Were they involved in that ships recovery project?
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
Too much repetitive and irrelevant info made this videio too long and a bit boring.
And the narrator"s voice didn't help much
Agreed.
Agree
The massive cranium made up for the boring talk!😁😂
Costa Condcordia was not sink by a tsunami, but because of a crazy captain
I am so in ❤
why click bait?
Dot a thumbs down due to the main pic not from a tsunami wrecked vessel.
What’s that got to do with the thumbnail, refuse to watch.
I would have welded some patch panels over the holes in the ship then used it like it was intended.
In the intro, narrator said it was a 2.5 meter high tsunami. That doesn't seem accurate.
I could not watch your video because all you did was talk about your equipment I came to see you pick the ship up but it sucks so bad I couldn’t get it to that point
only reason I kept watching was to enjoy that massive cranium!
Dang look at that head!!
Von Hoof's head is wild-
drink a shot each time he says SBMT
Click Bait thumbnail - not the ship salvaged!
Why does the video from 2011 look like 1950's super 8mm?
with all the negative comments below, I will just pass on the view and save my time !!
I enjoyed the show minus the odd video quality. Modern day footage looks old as balls from the 1950s
lol they spent so much money on equipment that they couldn’t buy a good camera. Using his mom’s old camera from 1972. Ha ha
This was nothing more than an infomercial...
Anyone else thinking... that's a huge cranium.. oblongata mondula
I was thinking the same thing with his head, this proves there are Alien/Human crossbreeds.
Yep that's a billboard
DAMN, that guy got a big head!!!!!!
Pretty dumb: the video thumbnail showed the Costa Concordia.

The clickbait thumbnail does not help your credibility. The Alien was pretty interesting though. Seen first @3:00
That dude got a big head he don’t need a hardhat but he sure knows what he’s talking about. He probably has a big brain to.
2:54 😂😂😂
is that guy's head larger than normal? or no? looks like martian

The trailers will be junk because of The salt water will eat the metal away in A couple years
using clickbait pics of the costa concordia wreck to lure people to watch a vid is really uncool, just more trash ad content,
But what if we use the increased clickbait powered ad revenue to buy a yacht that we then wreck?
@@DangerTV that has to be one of the dumbest rebuttals i have heard, wow just wow
