Super nice looking plane, well done! Pls don't forget this littles holes at the fuselage and wing glue joints, where you can insert a piece of filament, to align the parts while gluing - like the Grom has. This very helpful to align the parts well!
Question on the settings for the Wing Right and Left 1. What wall thickness do you have? And the weight that you have on the print chart shows 69Grams is the total including the controlled surface?
actually printing this now! But i fly walksnail now. any suggestion on wich nose (fuse 1) to use for walksnail? i have some 2212 in 1200kv and 1400kv here, are those okay and what prop size then? Loving the print so far and your video's!
have a look in the extras/SCM folder, there's an adapter for the WS cam ! with these motor I guess a 7" would be fine, with 4S ? or even 8" maybe for the lowest kV ?
Looks like a fun project, congratulations! How are the low speed characteristics/handling? Cruising on 4A or so, near stall? What is the lowest speed it can handle?
Flies really well, like a dolphin that glides more. The airfoil is really good. Cannot trust the amps displayed in this video, I think something's wrong with the calibration, 70A max draw seem way too high, in real it's probably more like 45A top. with the 2806.5 and 7" it will probably cruise at 3-6A yeah, with a decent speed. There's not much drag. And in theory it might work without the 2 stabs, not tested yet. Stall speed is a classic 30-35km/h, gentle dive down like all forward swepts, no flat spin
An amazing design and an awesome overview of the design. So much to like about this design. :) Flys and handles so well in initial testing. So well done. For sure, I thought you were going to loose it at 12:30, as inverted and so close to timing the grass. Regarding reworking the fuselage for balance, another option might have be to add twin motors to the leading edge of a shorter fuselage edition (12:45). To reduce drag, it might be possible to design the 900MHz antenna into one of the vertical fins?
Awesome work, Very well though out design! I’ll have to pick up the plans when they are available. My dolphin is starting to get beat up some and working to get my voron up and running so this should be fun project!
@@Olivier-C Awesome, I just downloaded it. I like the ability to have wing extensions, might be able to utilize that for a tail boom mod like the drak.
Wauw, that's a beauty, nice aerodynamic frame. Very important for me :) Doesn't drop nose in tight curves and effective wings, also important. I'm using the Emax ECO II 2807 1700 KV with the 7042 Gemfan Flash on my Dolphin. Max speed around 170 kmh @ 25 amps. Enough static thrust for a 100% thr @ 45 Amps start. Curious to see the max speed with your new motor. Lost interest in 3D printing, but slowly dusting off my Ender 3😊
Hi~ Very impressive work. May you provied ribless version of Rifter 2? I am on Bambu Lab and it can't print the stl with ribs very well. Ribless version (in another your work) works fine for me.
Great video on your build. I like the design of the plane, so I made 3D printed one also. since the aircraft has a long noise, where did you measure for the CG on yours? my build seems to be nose heavy.
Thanks. A very beautiful plane, I started typing and will try to show the result on my channel. In the next version, I advise you to add internal ribs to the stabilizer. 😉
A great video! And a pretty amazing plane! It would be really nice if you did a video on what printer your using, it's setups and such, I've been a long time builder, and just starting to look at the 3D printed planes. I noticed your plane on RCG which led to your videos. One thing I really thought impressive was the wing extenders!! What a great idea! Thanks so much for all your hard work doing these videos and all the work you have done designing the plane! I think it would be interesting to design and print one. Will get the downloads and do a print!! Thanks again for all your work and sharing with us!!! w

I think you should tape the Elevon hinge gaps. Air will bleed from lower surface to upper through that gap. Reducing response and causing some drag...Looks a promising build to me, no real vices so far...🤔😳😀🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I'm printing this and am wondering where did you place your VTX? Under the hatch?
Antenna goes in the 10mm hole behind the hatch, then its held by this thing in 2 halves, in the folder /extras. The Vtx hangs free below the antenna
