I just asked my k girlfriend how to say excuse me in Korean the other day, and she said “좀간만” but I usually use that for saying “hold on” so I like your way better

제가 is used when we want to emphasize that we did something. For example, 제가 했어요 which means I did it.
저는 is used when we want to introduce ourselves or say something about ourselves as the topic. For example, 저는 학생이에요 which means I’m a student.
