We’ve seen footage of the dangerous lava flow but seeing the residents on the ground and what they’re having to endure with ash falling daily on their homes, streets, businesses is distressing!! Not to mention the horrible condition of the air they breathe!! Worst is fear of the unknown if new vents open causing the lava flow to destroy the land they know and the houses they live in!! It is good lava flows slowly giving them time they need to evacuate but their lives as they know will forever be changed!! Bless all LaPalma residents for safety 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@Mark Gerick While I agree with your first sentence (except it takes much time to renew life to where it was before a "natural" disaster), I respectfully question your logic on your second sentence. People, and generations of people, living everywhere, anywhere on this planet are just people. Period. Many of us do not realize we might be living on the edge, as you put it. I would posit that until any one of us is faced with a natural event (i.e., a volcanic eruption in our back yard, a hurricane, a tornado, a mag 7+ earthquake, a tsunami, etc.), or a human-made event (i.e., war, etc.), we should not judge why some people live where they live. Life is precious in all its forms on this planet. Disruption of life as we believe it to be, and for many reasons, is inevitable. Not sure I can really change that fact. But I will give it the old "heave-ho" as they say, and do my part where I live, as best as I can, given the choices my ancestors made for me, many eons ago.
"How about those people in Kilauea, Hawaii who built their homes right next to an active volcano and then wonder why they have lava in the living room." - George Carlin
No one in Hawaii wonders why there's lava, everyone understands and respects nature's power and lives with it. It's all the people on the mainland who can't seem to wrap their minds around the concept of living near a volcano, even though it takes a lot less lives and property than tornadoes or hurricanes.
Reporting is good! Is there is any support from mainland people & from the government?! Especially those who are homeless & landless because of the eruption.
not a city. nobody wants to live in ugly, sprawling, manufactured, soulless suburbs. i'd rather stay on la palma and deal with the consequences - at least i'll be home, with a sense of community and belonging. you don't just transplant thousands of people and expect them to live happily ever after. it's been tried - and failed - plenty of times.
I feel sorry for the people, animals, trees & farmland . Nature can be very cruel . I live 5 miles from Kilauea volcano Hawaii and have experienced it myself ..
Scary to see, how little those people living there know about volcanoes. People cleaning ashes without any protection. They don't know what they are doing! 😬
The western part of the volcano, the west flank, is extremely unstable and can slip into the Atlantic and cause an enormous tsunami. But the east side of the volcano is also at risk, especially if a strong volcanic eruption occurs, as is also the case with the western flank. The reason for that lies in the fact that the volcanic mountain is internally very porous and so saturated with water that, with a strong eruption, the water can suddenly vaporize and rip the volcano apart due to a steam explosion.
a good thing is that even if the combre Vieja erupted ant least half of the portion of the island did not slide into the sea to cause a mega Tsunami,I watched a documentary about LA Palma eruption for the future if it erupts in another location of Combre Vieja there could be trouble,it's just a matter of time.

Evacuated where, how, and for how long? Who will pay? Current damage to property is already in excess of one billion euros. Even if it stopped erupting today it will take 2-3 years for the lava to cool.
This is an active volcano: why were people allowed to permanently settle so close? Perhaps rather than rebuilding with permanent structures, use self-contained flatback houses that can be moved [out of harms way] relatively quickly & easily the next time this happens - which I assume it will. Best wishes for the future La Palma.

Living anywhere is a risk. Natural disasters occur everywhere, whether it's flooding, droughts, wind storms, forest fires, landslides, earthquakes, tsunamis. You would struggle to find a single place on this planet that is free from natural disasters. So how is this any different? The volcanoes on this island had not erupted in 70 years, in comparison the Atlantic coast of the US gets pelted with multiple hurricanes and tropical storms every year and they are capable of much more damage than what has been seen on la palma so far. So no, living on a volcanic island is not particularly risky and even if it were the people who live in these towns have roots there that go back generations. I am sorry because I do feel bad for them. I really do but maybe it's time to leave the island. @@lindawarnke5150
Appreciate this. Thx
Thank you for watching. :-)
I truly believe that the woman at 6:54 is the only wise one. How can you be hungry towards a volcano? It's like disown the nature.
Makes a person wonder why the media hasn’t covered this in the west
Why would they, if it was Donald Trumps fault they would all be out there like Vulture trolls trying to convince the world he caused the volcano to blow.
"Hasn't covered this in the west"?? In Europe this is in the media every day.
@@NetNinja01 it had really nothing to do with that fool. This is Europe, not your Trump land.
Trump is an bad dream we thankfully woke up from but he still sits in the background like a creepy stalker waiting to slither back into the spotlight which he craves.
Spain has become very irrelevant in the 21st century. This is probably only talked about in Europe and nowhere else.
There’s a video about how the eruption of la Palma is being purposely done with earthquakes in a perfect grid structure. This eruption can cause massive damaging disasters in the east coast making it look like “natural disasters“
Oh jesus christ, not everything is the deep state or some global conspiracy. Also just so you know, the "megatsunami" idea from the La Palma island collapse into the ocean has lost a ton of support over the past 20 years or so. But you know, the shadow cabal has it all planned out!
Grow up
Oh ffs lmfao...always one
Mel, whatever you are on isn’t doing you any good so please stop using it!
YOU COULD HAVE LEFT THE MUSIC IN THE OFF POSITION. IT REALLY ISN'T NECESSARY, EVER.
Mercy & compassion upon the people of La Palma O God...
Anyone still staying on that Island, or should I say Volcano is taking to much risk.
Anyone remember Pompeii and Heraklion?
Nope, I'm not 1950 years old.
Herculano. Heraklion is in Crete.

Nature is powerful... People shouldn't build cities near volcanos cause this will happen eventually
It is not true that all 80,000 resident are fearing for their lives...Half of the Island do not even hear the noise....The island is very big...
I don't they all just get off the island since it's extremely unstable in the volcano has been going off for like 4 months and it's consuming every foot and mile it's stupid it's like picking a scare repetitively and wondering if it's going to heal just leave go already
90 year old man lives on a boat. Just amazing.... When he was walking around the boat on that tiny edge, I was thinking 🤔 is that really ok for a man of that age to live like that...? I don't think so 😟
I hope and pray the people evacuated managed to take their pets with them......what about the animals? 😢
Most animals are recued...
It will be worse and worse in the world until Jesus returns, and the Anticrist will take over. Read the last book in the Bible what is happening. REPENT
Wow really
Mother Earth gave us everything but ultimately she will take it back...........my prayers to the folks out there.....
Thanks for your unconditional love and support 🌹🌹🙏🙏🙋🙏🙏🙏 where are you from please?
sorry to say, but Europe is full of others wanting our help... I wish La Palma the best of luck! you on your own
if you think this is bad, wait till that super-volcano underneath Yellowstone Park blows.
Ive been waiting for this.
Thank you so much for this very good report. Been waiting fo it. I am so tired of youtubers, "everything is fine" , just a lttle" finedust"...
The thing these people don't seem to understand. When she wakes up and starts making new land. Get out the way!
Plus who da heck wants to live so close to a volcano???
In the meantime, spain is trying to impørt more ppl over there instead of helping these poor ppl who have no a place to live.
Exactly
'diversity and inclusion' is code for invasion.
What category would Spanish Fascist be classified?
White superamascist or Mediterranean Superamascist?
