This gives me old TKOR vibes, and I absolutely love it!
yeah, it makes me sad what happened to tkor, they hardly ever get 100k views on a video nowadays
@@Fuck_YT lets just not mention them anymore. Nate is gonna get his own show on discovery one day
I used to love watching him and Calli do crazy experiments.
@@Fuck_YT if you take the average views of his last 10 uploads, he is actually getting more views than tkor... Nice
awesome for him, not so good for our fond memories :[
plumb the hot water pipes through the box with some pvc and use the native heat of the tub to warm the towels.
I've been loving your channel Nate! Definitely gives off OG TKOR vibes
TKOR is shit now
Maybe 1 safety thing you could do is have a loop back from the middle of the box to the intake of the heater so the heaters thermostat can still function. Currently it looks like it pulls from the outside air only. Overall great build, I would have loved a warm towel in the past lol
Nice I was thinking the same!
Alternative design? Pump hot water from the hot tub into metal (copper? aluminium?) pipes that are made into a towel rack and then enclose the towel raack in an insulated box.
Yesss
Something I realized after watching Nate(On TKOR and Here) over the years, his "Measure Nunce, Cut Thrice" is truer now that I think back to how often Nate's said "this just happens to fit perfectly!" or something along those lines.
Makes me think, how many of those times did it actually go perfectly? I assume not often. Which means Nate, instead of correcting the thing he screwed up, went out of his way to buy something that made his failure work instead of just doing it right the first time. 🤣
Nate, love the dedication of refusing to measure despite the issues over the years.
Never change bro, never change.
Seeing your hearing protection in made me remember to plug my ear with the ruptured eardrum before going to sleep. Helps it heal since it stops air flowing through
My friend has his washer and dryer in his bathroom. Just the house set up. But he puts a towel in the dryer while he showers and so when he gets out the towel is nice and arm. It’s heavenly. This reminds me of that.
Og vibes, really cool direction for the channel. Great editing.
I really like how Nate does his montages. They strike an almost perfect balance of education without being boring
Awesome job. Felt a little nostalgic. As usual thank you for sharing and I look forward to your next video.
Really love your content mate! You and Callie were Grant's legacy and this brings back the old TKOR vibes!!
worst thing ever is getting out the tub and its freezing cold and then to make things worse your towel is cold... , good job man loved the video :)
🎵 Two bros sittin in a hot tub...🎵 😆
Nate, you're awesome
Ah, this is the content I'm here for the most! Love it all, but this is fav.
Love the idea!!! We need this in real life!!!
i was doing my homework (not lying) but this is better
Same here
You could also take out one of the rods and put a shelve in there to use as a food warmer.
Then you could have warm snacks too. (Although depending on the food, might make your towels scented, lol)
I love your content! Please keep making more. You are so amazing
A cold frozen towel to wrap around me when I get out of a hot tub makes me feel alive 😂
Great idea the only change I would make is to add a decent house coat with a hood, it's far nicer to wrap yourself in to absorb water and insulate yourself between hot tub and clothes 😉
Epic video Nate, but I cant help but feel this video was born out of.. Thanks for letting us use the hottub! il build you something but let youtube pay for it! , which is not bad at all lol!
Tip for using the metal duct tape. Apply it using something simi rigid like a Bondo knife to really rub that stuff in. The friction helps it bond better!
Glad to see you built. Thanks for sharing.
Weekend Stuff
Loving the content!! Any plans to make an electric fireplace? I went to lowes today and found out that they sell electric fireplaces with mantles and everything! I’d LOVE to see your version!
FUTURE VIDEO IDEA: Instead of a fan, use the heating element from a tumble dryer
👍This is a great idea, and great execution.. but im thinking it would have been easier and more efficient just to use pvc and pump the hot water from the tub through it to warm the towels instead of hot air. They have hot water towel warmers in Iceland
Love your content Nate! This is a fun build, and a great watch!
Who needs a warm towel when the tub is 104°f and it's
ours was right next to the door, it was still the worst feeling to get out and run inside
Glad to see Nate building stuff. 😎👍
But how is Calli?.
I would love to see you and Calli do a video again if it's possible.
Nice makeshift break press
My favourite couple
Is it just me, or is the soundtrack particularly banging this episode?! Can we get a playlist?!? 🎧🎉❤️🥁🎶🎸🎹⏯️
I usually skip through to see the end result, but the music held my attention for long enough
All right not bad good build🎥 cool video 👍
I was really wondering how you were going to get more than one towel in or out as for some I thought the door was on the front.
9 minutes in and I see, 'oh, they're putting the door at the top... So much smarter' lol
that board waited all that time to finally fulfill its destiny
You could make it safe with an oil filled radiator :)
Two bros chilling in a hot tub
You're so handy! Good job 👏
Calli should also be in these kind of videos. Old TKOR vibes
Cool video nate
I am curious what heater you used. I want to build one. We have a hot tub in Alaska and it gets pretty dang cold 🥶.
Nate you should of just had an insulated duct so you can have a bigger heater further away
Rather than recirculating the air to the heater u could just use a digital thermostat to power the heater on and off. As of. Now mine had a heat lamp and a wall towel heater rack laying in the bottom . But I want it hotter lol
lol i have the same earbuds hes wearing. Love this channel, been watching nate since grant TKOR
How many of us are singing, "2 guys in a hot tub, six feet apart cause we're not gay"? 😂😂😂 (And I can say that cause I'm a 🌈)
2 bros, chilling in a hot tub, 5 feet apart cause they're not gay
Why does being gay matter? Like you really have to add that I don’t understand.
I think you are the only one singing that buddy
@@dabdailyduffycalifornia and possibly a ton of other people who quote vines lol
@@BoBo-xo4zj cause people think it's cool to be gay now it's all influence
See, my motto is measure 1000 times and still have to cut 999 time. And still get it wrong 😅😅😅
this is super cool man :)
130 F for a towel isn't bad I was honestly expecting cold but thanks for subverting that expectation.
Should have made it that it raise the racks holding the towel up so that it's easier to grab the towels
Love your content! Might have been easier to buy one off of amazon though haha!
GFCI Plug on the heater power, they are about $15
It's plugged in outside in North America... It's already on a GFCI circuit.
@@TravisFabel doesnt matter, better to put it directly to device. They take longer to trip
if u want to make it even safer ,just put some big water container and fill it with hot water (maybe from hot tub) without using heater
should work just fine :)
more diy please
The heater should recirculate in the box, and be connected to a thermostat.
Finish people: Nono, thats the whole point!
I would do poorly in Finland.
i might sound silly but wouldnt it be easier to take some of the hot water in the hot tub and circulate that in the box using a car heat exchanger and have a fan blow through that to heat the towels? so whenever the hot tub is hot the towel box should also be hot with very little extra power use.
good idea but then you have to modify the hot tub, and they aren't cheap. messing up could he a costly mistske
@@Fuck_YT Was just thinking of two tubes over the side and into the water?
@@andrewwebb5871 i figured thats whst you hand in mind, but i dont think it would be very effective and maybe visually unappealing, it might get in the way and i know not all hot tubs are the same but ours had angled walls and honestly, i dont think that would work very well 🤔
I get out of 103 or 104° hot tub in 5° farenheit weather. It's not cold at all. Takes 10 seconds to go inside and I'm still not cold yet. This seems a bit extra.
Well with this you dont have to run inside while your still wet.
I like it!
I love this content, this is what youtube used to be before the fukkbois, skanks, and politicians took over
It's what it still is if you don't pollute your own feed. Lol
Good luck with that
@@TravisFabel if UA-cam doesn't...
"I have some aluminum tape, it's metal tape designed for ductwork."
So, it's duct tape.
Yes, but really no. The thing most all people recognize as duct/duck tape is plastic coated cloth. The aluminum tape pros use for HVAC work rarely has "duct" in the name.
We still call the stuff in pencils lead, even though it's graphite. Same thing.
This could be an actual product, needs a tweak for safety
Towel warmers are an actual product.
Please bring Cali in the hot tube.
Wait. Is his hand cut during that intro??
Ha! Nope, that's red automotive paint from painting my Iron Man suit! It looks remarkably like blood when it's on skin!
I would need to be able to get in the towel warmer till I dried off.
Nice
You missed plenty of duck vs duct play here, but still nice vid.
ok ask for only steel since he stated that is 3x more time than he can do.
oh no my handle doesnt 'feel' good.
what if I have no idea how my hand feels :(
so if I order the knife type without a handle;
do I get more than a 30% discount or?
will you come out to Tooele and build a large version of this for me to climb into lol
As a sucker for a good hoodie, I gotta ask where you got yours dude.

"I hate being cold." #southernboi
Bruh.. Nate you look like you are as high as I am in that hot tub lmfao
Im never this early to comment on things
Dont like being cold?
Dont like frozen towels?
Just move your hot tub inside.
Cool build! Or should I say warm?? Jk 😜
heh
if I had a hot tub, I would be as wrinkle as a vampire sucking the blood out of someone because I would never get out of it.
Cool
6:52 you split the plywood
:D Good catch! We ended up replacing that board.
@@NFTI I was hoping so, especially since the box lives outside it was going to cause the plies to delaminate eventually.
100 centigrades????????
No, I'm in America and use Fahrenheit.
Hi!
You americans need to learn about real finnish saunas. -20 degrees celsius and you can stand outside for a good 10min without freezing. And the sauna needs to be between 60 and 80 degrees celsius.
im sorry all of our saunas are unfinished.
@@Fuck_YT bruh they said Finnish as in from Finland 🇫🇮
@@ketameanii ...i know thats the joke -_-
@@ketameaniiThey actually didn't say that, even if that's what they meant. Capitalization matters, and that joke didn't really need murdering.

#firstworldproblems
Yes, adding negative comments on a video to try to make a creator feel bad is definitely a first world problem.
My wife will love it!
wow this is dumb, you could have just modified an Insulated Food Delivery Bag with a duct & vent... and you would have gotten equally the same effect. Also doing this, you wouldn't have a giant ugly wooden box next to your hot tub either. Instead you would have a portable towel warmer that looks better and is more practical for storage when not in use.
How is it portable (or better...or practical) if you're still hooking it up to a duct system? How is it holding up the hanging towels without a frame? If a towel is folded and sitting on the bottom of something _made for pre-warmed objects, not for warming them,_ most of the towel isn't getting warm in that box. If there's more than one towel, only part of one towel is getting warm.
As for ugly, a lot of people would be more bothered by something that _has_ to be brought back inside after every use because it's not built for outdoor weather. If you're going to call somebody dumb, at least have an actual better idea.
Thanks Nate!
Well now. That’s one really stiff towel.
Dang nate never seen you shirtless tkor always made you swim with a shirt or what?
the legit best way to get out is naked I used to have the same problem in the winter... but you should probably own the hot tub if you do that lol
we love you nate
measure nunce cut thrice. I love it
