Plot twist, the White Witch wasn't even the nice old lady whose winter got ruined. Forgot her name, but it's the professor's assistant lady who's tasked with taking care of the Pevensies. So the the description of "winter" had me tripped up a bit because the real-world part of the story happens in summer I think.
