Dave, I appreciate this video. I recently bought 1979. Gotta replay Rams vs Bucs. I know this is a *shiny new toy*, but STF might just stay on my table top for a long time. Impressed.
Hi Dave, sorry I missed the live stream. FYI, when you do the play calling charts, you subtract the bonus from both the offensive and defensive charts. For Dallas and their -1, for example, you would subtract 1 from both the offense and defense numbers.
@@DaveGardnervideos As an FYI it's in the solo play "box" on page 2 of the rulebook. I'm sure you will be doing more videos in case you want to reference it to your audience.
Around 36 minutes in, fehner27 asked "if your result on your offensive card refers you to the defensive card, how do you input the stat when it’s a run called but refers to defensive pass call". The answer is that the defensive card "knows" whether the roll was referred from a pass play or from a run play. Offensive run plays only redirect to the defensive play card on rolls of 20-39. Offensive pass plays only redirect to the defensive play card on rolls of 40-64. If you look at the defensive plays, you will see that all results for 20-39 are rushing results and results on 40-64 are pass play results (completions, incompletions, sacks or INTs). So it's impossible to call a run play that refers to a pass call on the defensive card. Does that answer your question?
Thanks Dave I watched your video again and is flowing, I am using the basic sheet, I like it I also had a few Pressure results, not sure if I played correctly when it said on original card 10* and pressure chart or something like that
Thanks for this detailed play through. I’m struggling a little with getting this game figured out.
