Hi I'm beginner in Houdini, I created a rbd distruction but how to add pyro dust and grains to it is there any beginner friendly tutorials ? If anyone knows please help me🙂
@@RW-vc8ms Hi - No I was using Houdini for about 8-9 months before taking the course. I would recommend a strong fundamental understanding of the software before taking the course even though the title has the word "intro" in it. It is more like a medium skill level course. However, if you do have the pre required knowledge and if you really follow the course properly from beginning to end and actively participate in the weekly tasks as well you will finish the course with a very big jump up in skill level.
Haha - no I made those as part of the shot at 00:45 when I figuring out how to automate the environment creation. All that was done way before Hogwarts legacy came out ;D
Hi Tuan, I would recommend "intro to FX" to someone with a good fundamental understanding of Houdini. It is quite fast paced and a lot of content, you will quickly be overwhelmed without a solid background first. To put it in context I had around 6-8 months of experience using Houdini before doing the course. On the flip side, you will really learn how to build custom solutions for many problems and be able to tackle a variety of complex FX after the course as well as having the knowledge to make a showreel to get into the industry. Overall, I do recommend the course but I would highly suggest having a strong understanding in Houdini first before investing the money, in order to get the most out of it.
@@joelpaulinvfx understood. Im currently taking Udemy course on the houdini fundamentals in building FX rigs. I'm quite comfortable so far and understand the basics quite well. I think i'll just finish this course first and will take the Rebelway soon. Thank you for your thoughts!
I don't make any courses myself if that is your question - I learnt techniques for most of my shots at my university and at Rebelway online training. :)
Fantastic reel, Joel!🔥

That's unfortunate. I understand. If anything changes, let me know. Be blessed 🙏

Did you use DaVinci resolve 18 for editing this video?
Yeah, it is noticeable from the animated title :)
what is your thought on Rebelway's course? Is it worth it for a beginner? Im planning to enroll but the price makes me think twice..

Hello - I used Arnold, Mantra and Karma for this reel :)
awesome work bro
thank you :)
How long did it take you to do everything on the demo reel?
Hi, I think all up it was around 6 months for those shots. It would be possible in a much shorter timeframe but I was learning as I was making them.
do you make these animations?
