    • @stephenlyon1358

      A false dichotomy is presenting two choices when more than two choices exist.
      You are presenting the arguement as "you can use weapons or not" when the weapon categories have to be broken down and examined. Can Russia use artillery shells on ukraine and vice versa? yes. Ukraine does not have the military know how, to build and use these long range missiles. Its like giving a machine gun to an indian or something.

    • @Itryo
      @Itryo 26 днів тому +24

      @stephenlyon1358 and you present a fallacy by comparing Ukraine to tribal people. The bast majority of countries in the world do not produce the weapons they use. They are purchased, or given to them by their allies. Such as in Ukraine's case (they have done both).

      It is our fault that it has come to this. If we had acted as we should in the start, the war would be close to over and a lot less Ukranians would have lost theire life. This is not hind sight. It's logical and well known by military strategists. Too bad cowardly politicians were, and are still in power.

      What Chinese weapons! As for Iran they supplied some Drones needed when Ukraine sourced the deadly Bakharat Drones from Turkey. North Korea just last week supplied 122 mm shells that Russia doesn't produce anymore but needed when it brought out its vaunted D46 Howitzers from the back of bunkers! After several decades in mothballs!
      So only as needed! Not the flood of every conceivable weapon including tanks, radars, AD systems etc. Russia has not been supplied any of those major items whatsoever!

    Britain 1st with N/LAWS and then 1st with TANKS then was first provide stormshadow cruise missiles and also first to rally for jets which we would have given if we had type jets needed i believe we would have given them far sooner .. so i cant ever say this before about my fountry but ive been proud there actions in this conflict we been front runners for such small nation ..

    Why "battered and bruised" the area is just a rural countryside! There's nothing there! Apart of course as admitted by a captured officer the Kursk NPP some 60 km further in from where the International hordes were stopped!
    Speaking of "battered and bruised" over 300 new Leopards Challengers and US variants have been destroyed plus around 3500 casualties including 500 prisoners.
    This invasion is also in contravention of International Law and breaks an agreement reached with the US (NATO) which left Odessa for Border securities in the North.
    What I'm hearing here is children's tittle tattle rather than a adult conversation!

      @Krantzstone 26 днів тому +2

      Here's a point-by-point fact-check and rebuttal of the claims made by "ivankurtz1909":
      ### 1. **"Why 'battered and bruised' the area is just a rural countryside! There's nothing there!"**
      - **Fact-Check:** The Kursk region in Russia, while having rural areas, is strategically important due to its proximity to Ukraine and its military infrastructure. The region also hosts critical energy and defense facilities, such as the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), making it a significant target.
      - **Rebuttal:** Dismissing Kursk as "just a rural countryside" overlooks the strategic importance of the area. Any Ukrainian military action in or near Kursk would be aimed at disrupting Russian military operations, energy infrastructure, or logistics, which could indeed leave Russia "battered and bruised" in a military sense.
      ### 2. **"Apart of course as admitted by a captured officer the Kursk NPP some 60 km further in from where the International hordes were stopped!"**
      - **Fact-Check:** The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is a well-known facility in the region, but there is no verified information to support the claim that a captured officer admitted anything specific about it in the context of recent Ukrainian actions.
      - **Rebuttal:** The mention of the Kursk NPP without concrete evidence or details about the supposed "captured officer" weakens the argument. It seems more like an attempt to create alarm rather than provide factual information.
      ### 3. **"Over 300 new Leopards Challengers and US variants have been destroyed plus around 3500 casualties including 500 prisoners."**
      - **Fact-Check:** Claims about the destruction of "over 300 new Leopards Challengers and US variants" are likely exaggerated. Western analysts and independent observers have not confirmed such high numbers of destroyed tanks. Similarly, casualty figures provided by Russian sources or pro-Russian accounts tend to be inflated and lack independent verification.
      - **Rebuttal:** The numbers cited here are inconsistent with reports from reputable sources. Overstating losses is a common propaganda tactic used to demoralize the opponent and create a false narrative of overwhelming success. It’s crucial to rely on verified information from multiple, independent sources.
      ### 4. **"This invasion is also in contravention of International Law and breaks an agreement reached with the US (NATO) which left Odessa for Border securities in the North."**
      - **Fact-Check:** There is no publicly known or documented agreement between Ukraine (or NATO) and Russia regarding military operations in northern regions like Kursk. Ukraine has the right under international law to defend itself and target military infrastructure in Russian territory, especially if it's being used to conduct attacks on Ukraine.
      - **Rebuttal:** The claim that Ukraine's actions in Kursk violate international law is misleading. Ukraine's military actions are a response to Russia's illegal invasion of its territory, which is the primary violation of international law. No specific agreement about leaving Odessa or targeting border securities in the North is recognized or documented in any international treaties or agreements.
      ### 5. **"What l'm hearing here is children's tittle tattle rather than a adult conversation!"**
      - **Fact-Check:** This statement is dismissive and aims to undermine the credibility of the opposing view by labeling it as childish rather than engaging with the actual content of the argument.
      - **Rebuttal:** Dismissing serious discussions about the consequences of military actions as "children's tittle tattle" is an attempt to avoid engaging with the realities on the ground. Mature and informed discussions require acknowledging the complexities and strategic implications of actions on both sides.
      In summary, the claims made by "ivankurtz1909" are largely based on exaggerations, unverified information, and misrepresentations of international law. The situation in Kursk, while it may involve rural areas, is strategically important, and dismissing it as insignificant overlooks the broader military and geopolitical context.
