Why so hateful comments?? If the clients can afford a designer and the decor why should she try to make it fit in the low budget in the first place? I agree Mr.kate, small budget big makeover are creative they fit client’s requirements in their budget.But what different good homes did? They must have fit the decor in client’s budget I bet, and even if they have just staged the house, why don’t we appreciate how nicely they have decorated the place and help us learn how we can also decorate our house?Why are we comparing? Why don’t we focus on how they can afford it?? They work hard, they earn money, they study their ass off to earn money to live this lifestyle.
May be a middle class (I am a middle class too) or even lower middle class people can afford this all, if they plan ahead and do down the stream decor, you know like one room at a time or one decor piece at a time and make it the way Good homes show makes houses. May be look for some financing. As a designer I have work in India. People just want storage everywhere. Carpenters say madamji photo dikhou me banake deta. He doesn’t care about how your space can be utilized better. I agree that a designer should fit all the requirements in client’s budget. But is it wise you want to hire a designer to make your house stand out, and end up doing cheap decor?? what’s the point in beer budget and champagne taste?? Even if a designer tries diy to save money, it won’t give the classy ness he wants which he will get after putting more money.please don’t discourage somebody who is putting their hearts to make your house beautiful. Hate it ??? Don’t watch it. I hate few shows, who just focus and display all emotional dramas and then brag about budget. When are we going to change?? Be great full good homes are sharing their projects.so many things to learn. Expensive agree. We talk about not affordable etc, this way no body is happy. If you or me can afford Mr.kate or small budget big make over, think about the people who are homeless. It’s all about focusing on good things.
Let’s change ourselves and look at the bright side. I am a designer too, Cannot afford the expensive things I want in my decor, but I am trying I buy one thing one month. I have studied I am earning well, but my priority is to help two kids and their now cancer free mom to survive pay necessary bills and school fees.so I am earning as much as a regular person. Even I cannot afford to buy everything in one go. So I made the design, each month I buy or do according to my budget. If I have RS. 10000 I just buy what fits best in that amount .I get the best, it’s going to be with me forever. Think people think. Good homes show , Ronita keep up the good work! I really wish people look how talented you and your team are. If Ronita is not creative then look at the way she talkes to clients (trust me it’s difficult) look at the way she dresses, look at the way her team select pieces.you know how proud I feel when I watch small budget big makeover, the good homes show? I see development. I see employment.
If Ronita is not a designer she is paying the designers. I have my interior designer office colleagues my friends, who are jobless .
All they say is people just copy from internet, hire a carpenter.
A carpenter is just a layman. He doesn’t care how will you people use that furniture piece in future. Carpenters are skilled workers, I don’t hate them but I hate people who try to set an unrealistic goal. I’ll sit on the floor till I don’t save for the sofa I always wanted. I also like Reusing recycling saving money. But I don’t compromise on quality.
Hey kudoos to you ...I read each and every word you wrote ...I do understand the point on affordability but couldn't ignore how beautifully you put the employment part of it. I'm touched by the progressive mentality you carry. You know I just love to see these creative shows and I'm very appreciative of ppl who exhibit this. Particularly being a women it makes me immensely proud to see women carrying themselves so well and fetching the bread& butter which was far fetched in the past. Your idea of getting one thing a month ...I do that not just in terms of decor but anything I want to gift myself....great minds think great ...stay blessed and fly high ...cheers Aishwarya

We all must dream big and when we do that , We tend to push ourself to achieve what we like, desire and see. So dream big✨ .No wonder small budget is a great show. Small budget big makeover is better show
This is actually the first job done by this lady that I liked. Let's face it, Client specifications like "modern" or "sophisticated" or "artistic" are pretty vague. Exploration of a style to be incorporated in line with the personalities of the owners is a more complex process which begs questions like their personal ideologies, their own inclinations towards some art form or the other, their general perspective towards an object of decor as purely novel or utilitarian, their colour preferences, and of course the limitations/advantages of the space. In this case, I was impressed by the fact that the designer went for subtle colours, clean lines, classic light and accent choices, keeping in mind the preferences and the background of the Patels. I liked the Warli piece on the wall, though I could argue it was not homogeneously Warli but a mix of Saura as well but that doesn't matter. The effect achieved is more important and it is elegant. Also appreciate when she admitted that they need not cram the space with too much stuff arbitrarily but keep it open to be filled with stuff of the owners' choice.
Styles may vary with varying interpretations of art. So I liked that this design was not a blatant showcase of sponsor products but an artistic attempt of sorts which is what we come here to see.
However, it was hard to miss the pompous patronising when Dhanu "recommended Indian Art". See it goes without saying that any art which finds resonance with people and their ideas, becomes relevant. What artists and artisans need is not endorsement but visibility. Anyways, it's good that for once the show is giving some visibility to indigenous art form rather than random designer furniture or object passing off as contemporary art. Beats me though why the hafele knobs were 500 bucks apiece. All in all, I have no complaints against this one.

This makeover is the best............
loved the transformation . This one was actually a good fusion of contemporary and tradition . very warm and welcoming specially for older generation. absolutely loved the kutch artwork in niches. Interiors is not just about furniture layouts and lighting but also more about styling. A place looses its charm if it isn't styled properly according to taste and preferences of the client. Goodhomes show is giving good ideas about styling your interiors . Thumbs up

One of the best of the series... loved the transformation. A lovely gift from the daughter to the lucky parents. The collection at Baaya design is awesome. When we visit India next we will surely visit Baaya. Where do you find such stunning curios and art pieces?!!! You guys are doing a good job. Dont worry about the criticism. Good homes I see you have a sort of critical reply to people who did not like the make over , people just want to see good make overs by Indian designers so they are probably watching this channel videos ... this one was better than some of the previous disasters ... ( office space make over ) I liked the revolving chair, tea space chair print (I love those chairs and have always seen them in better colors) was an eyesore and also the black painting above the sofas... although the sofas and the cushions on them were good ... here is what I liked and what could have been better .
It was a beautiful makeover. What I appreciate is that Ronita was so eagerly waiting to see the client's response and when they were happy with the makeover, her eyes and face lit up like a child which shows she cares so much and puts her heart and soul into each project. Keep it up, God bless!!

One question: What have you actually CREATED in this entire show (or the rest of your other shows really) other than the hand painting on the wall? I applaud that indeed you have made an effort to CREATE something in this video. Give a salary/ contract raise to your videographer because s/he is actually the one who deserves compliments for the quality of your videos and the viewership rate. The custom art for the T.V. wall should have been done by your OWN team rather than outsourcing it to the experts. Where did you stand in all of this? Fixing it on the wall? Keep watching Muninder and Vishaka because now atleast, you are learning from them how to include creativity and brains into an interior/ exterior design. Ronita, your team is your support so stop scolding them at pressure times.

hate this lady...hate how she moves her hand all over...there was nothing done actually.!!!! they just bought few accesories and furnitures which are hellaaaaaaaaa expensive and placed them in the place.!!! a designer has to be very creative and shuld make sure the project gets budget friendly...this lady does her job like a disaster.! she meets people and never uses their ideas.! its all the girls who do the stuff.!! each episode i come with little expectation for betterment...but i shuld be a naive to expect....woukd rather prefer SMALL BUDGET BIG MAKEOVER.!!!

What u said was cent percent correct. Really she is not at all budget friendly. Even she can come with better colours and she just see the designs from some international websites and does as it is for some episodes which I have noticed especially for studio home

The accessories added are so superficial and self imposed. Reactions on end product was a testimony to the above. Warli art can't be promoted unless you share the identity of artist or for matter of fact shot when the poor mans hand was hiding his face. In spite of all the money, resources and top experts in the field of interior designing that this show has, it always manages to fall short of expectations & fails to truly transform a space! They never manage to create that 'wow' factor and looks a tad bit amateur. Just buying expensive items doesn't make someone a good designer! The show 'Small Budget Big Makeover' does a far better job with a very limited budget. Muninder & Vishakha are way more talented and creative compared to the Good Home Show team.

Am not a designer but for what I know is, to decor any room it's not necessary to go to showrooms and purchase high budget showpieces and just placed where ever want. If you are a designer than every customer wants to see your creativity, your skills. Here I saw, there was no creativity what she did was can be done by anu person just go to market n purchase items and placed it. I watched so many episodes of this show and I watched so many episodes of Small Budget Big Makeover, and I prefer SBBM than this. Muninder n vishakha have so many creativity and ideas that I can use it for my home also any time. Even I can easily afford them for my home but still I'll never call them coz I want to see creativity, skills of designers. I'll prefer to call SBBM..
I think this show is collection of expensive but not creative things. Throw money and get what you want. I am not impressed. The other creative couple show is best with less money and beautiful things done. From Canada, USA we saw their show. Three cheers for them.🤗😎😆
