The problem with left foot braking is everyone does it for wayyyyyyyyyyyy to long and then is slow as shit. Theres track in ac where i dont even touch the brakes if you know what your doing.
Haugen is exactly the reason I didn't buy a handbrake, you really just need it for high-speed drifts to get your back right or correct angles. Great video goose, this is gonna help a lot of people for sure!

After a long while hesitating, I was finaly setting up my "Assetto Corsa" for drifting on my "TS-XW Racer" today and I was like soooo lost in the first hours of playing. I was permanently spining out to the side corner like the first times I started to play "CarX" about a year ago. It took me about a half day to find the right FFB setting and after one day of intensive playing, I was finaly able to manage some drifting in a "Nissan 180SX". I was so happy as I was finaly getting into it. After some some hours, I was fully able to use my skill from "CarX", what I have learned the last year, since I started to play. My arms are so extremely tired right now, but that hard practicing has payed up real good! Was absolutly worth the effort! Drifting in "Assetto Corsa" was for me 5x so hard to learn, as learning "CarX" back then, but also 5x so satisfying to reach the first drifting golas. I had my first success in "CarX" only after some weeks of playing. Now in "Assetto Corsa", it only took me a day to reach the same level! I'm dooing btw. all the things you mentioned in the video, but I'm still far away from a "Pro-SIM-Drifter". I'm realy still just an amateur, but I try my best to maybe get there some day. :) Have a nice day fellow drifter! Sidenote: Unfortunately "Assetto Corsa" has no reset button! :S
So I got my mom into sim drifting a little while ago.I put her on my Logitech wheel with the Thrustmaster shifter and pedals(clutch included) for her to start. That’s when i found out that she actually used to drift irl. When I found out about it she had heard me talking about an irl drifting event and had already bought tickets for me and her months in advance and we’re going this weekend in Tennessee because that’s where my sister lives. I love my mom.
You forgot one: rev matching since it helps keep the car balance and minimize the weight shift while changing gear, also helps keep momentum (and listen to eurobeat cause it gives you extra 200 hp and an extra gear on any car when you need it)
The handbrake should be used to correct any mistake during your run or transitions, if you have to use handbrake to initiate, you should learn how to do the Scandinavian flick.
@@mniakan754 not necessarily, if you watch formula drift you can see them flicking the car to initiate drift. If you use handbrake to drift you lose a lot of entry speed and especially during comp you dont want that.
xd im using left foot braking basically everywhere, where i gotta drift: tight corners while cop chase in gta, speedy touge runs, the crew 2 rally and others, that is way better than handbrake imo

I always drift by using weight transfer in carx drift racing 2 but I always run solo I don't really want to make other people mad in multiplayer I always practice drifting in the airfield I'm not a really good drifter so I just keep practicing
I respect all the cases! ^w^ Except reset, i firstly judge if resetting is needed or not, if i can avoid resetting i avoid it because it's more realistic like in real life. If you are good drifter, you can stay on track without disturbing other player, that's the end game level. Anyway, you forgot a last sign, pro-drifters prefer horizontal handbrakes, like using low power cars and much harder full stock cars, using horizontal handbrake is more difficult to master and it's more realistic like any cars have horizontal handbrake full stock and pretty satisfying to do. ;) It was very nice that you talk about the hand placements, a saw many time even with IRL pro drifters, arm crossings that trigger me.

There is no problem with 1080 depends on the car... newer m3 and m4 only have like 720° but most cars have more than 900 degrers rotation if you compare how many turns of the wheel you can do
Pulling the handbrake for almost every turn regardless of speed when clutch is all you need along with left foot braking and the cars weight even at high speed
I started on 360 degree steering went to 540 then 720 then full rotation. I learnt pretty quickly how to drift with 900 degrees so I think everybody can starting from 360. But you gotta up the rotation every time you get it down

I'm still pretty trash but I can do it, point is that the first week is gonna suck but keep your settings difficult as to not get used to easy junk and then make it difficult later, start hard so that once you get the hang of it you're through the worst.
on xbox I unassigned my “a” button (handbrake) so that muscle memory when I press it nothing happens it helps a lot teaching you if you use controller 👍🏻

when i started drifting with a wheel i thought it was broken. I was utter dogshit. I kept my wheel on 900 degrees though, and powered through the shit until I got good enough to hold my own through a corner. I'm still pretty trash but I can do it, point is that the first week is gonna suck but keep your settings difficult as to not get used to easy junk and then make it difficult later, start hard so that once you get the hang of it you're through the worst.
Remember kids always use two hands on the wheelster,
Sheesh stay sideways.goosiest love your vids
Peace🤙
When I listen to right foot creep while playing the game, I always keep my right foot on the brake 🤣🤣🤣
I saw number 11 coming from 1 MILE away LOL🤣
Shouted your channel out in my Assetto Corsa video!
Legend!
on xbox I unassigned my “a” button (handbrake) so that muscle memory when I press it nothing happens it helps a lot teaching you if you use controller 👍🏻

Great video! Can you please post a video of your wheel settings and settings in assetto corsa I recently got a t300 but I can’t find any videos with a wheel set up. Keep up the great work!
I have pretty much default settings
I don't think low hp is a challenge for me, I actually much much prefer anything with 200-300 hp, sometimes even 150 is heaps of fun
