I was so so happy when Eiji and Yuna came back that I nearly cried, when I saw SAO turning on again, I knew it had something to do with Yuna and I was HYPED.
Kind of a good thing since both of them have a chance to return the favor to Kirito and his friends. It happened offscreen, but, after the incident in Ordinal Scale, Kirito helped Eiji to recover a fragment of Yuna's AI which was in SAO server before she is gone forever. So, both of them dove into SAO and went to a floor in Aincrad where she was located. In the end, she was safe and Eiji was indebted to Kirito.
Yeah, I really like Kirito and seeing what all he can do and all the obstacles he overcomes, but it is so nice when some of these other characters get a chance to shine. Like this fight was one of the bests and the animation and music to it was amazing!
Too much of a level difference. The only reason he was able give PoH one hell of a fight was pure skill and speed. If He was on the same level as Kirito or Asuna this fight would’ve been over quickly
@@klein2042 but ALO isn't level based game its more focused on skill development but hey we don't even know his status from the game perspective. However, his skill is no doubt first class and he also combined his swordsmanship with acrobatic movements and martial arts skills to make himself different than Kirito and most swordsmen in the series which makes him a special kind of swordsman.

Honestly, that’s what makes all three of them strong in the first place, they aren’t even strong in real life. Maybe Kirito stood his chance in real life but still got screwed by that creepy guy that wanted Sinon and could barely hold back against that guy that raped Asuna until his life depended on it.
Is the last part when kirito and the team are in space from the novels? I am curious but unfortunately I have not found translations from the light novels.
In my opinion, i think using your entire body to attack is just a waste of energy and movement which could be used for other attack that can kill the enemy.
Probably thought that this was a way for atoning, given the amount of lives he destroyed in Ordinal Scale (Wiping people's memories by defeating them via cheats, referring to Asuna and Klein when I say "Destroyed")
yuna at sao also had the EXTRA SKILL CHANT, wich basilcy gave buffs players near her when she sings, in underworld all the SAO skills exist that is why kirito is able to use dual wielding wich is the same type of skill as yunas meaning both these skiils are extra skills wich only get awarded to the first person to meet there condition
One of the best, if not THE best moment in SAO Alicization. Yuna and Eiji coming back, Longing Sword plays as Yuna buffs Eiji, and Eiji proceeding to give PoH a butt-kicking until his arms were cut off. This moment got me fanboying soooo hard, seeing Eiji being a badass was amazing and the cherry on top was the return of Yuna.
Honestly I believe eiji should've won, or at least not lose that way. The whole fight we see he's buffed by yuna and he is quite clearly faster than the bad guy yet somehow at the end the bad dude uses a speed hack and cuts off both arms

But based on what you said (no offense for the fans tho), eiji cheat his way with yuna's buff and... still lose? Well poh is an active in duty soldier, so ofc he's strong from my perspective. And he's not rotten in bed like in sao, so he should be much stronger. I myself find kind of weird if eiji can win against him purely on CQC. Eiji was not using magic like the ppl of underworld, right?
PoH was using a GM account with a few buffs to put them on par with burcoli, including a killer buff that got stronger with each soul, so Yuna seems to of just got it to a fair fight. As for skillwise, id say enji has about 45/55 odds of winning, just due to PoH's reaction time+ experience. Remember, dispite both surviving SAO, PoH had fought people while enji fought monsters, with PoH going up to floor 70 and enji stoping at floor 40

When I watched this episode at first when Eiji has not been shown yet, it feels like an ordinary episode with cliffhanger and then when Eiji show up and then Klein said his name and confirmed it I was so shocked and had mixed emotions with it especially when Yuna joined, I almost fall on my seat and got a teary eyed and I quit watching it after. It's almost like 3-4 mins after I watch the episode again with goosebumps and flowing with the beat cause the episode brought back the feels of ordinal scale the movie that I watched when I'm still in my high school days
Well they couldn’t have him win or make a huge impact because I’m pretty sure the movie is non-canon and if this is based on the manga then eiji wasn’t involved so he couldn’t really do any damage. Correct me if I’m wrong tho

Eiji has come a long way from the boy who hid in Aincrad and the young man who cheated and tried but failed to make Kirito feel weak in ordinal scale. He's better now, still not a big fan of this character but I'm happy he's gotten some great development and this fight redeems him from his past mistakes. A good fight!
i feel so hyped in that leaping high guard Eiji pulled out. It looks and feels so heroic, and Eiji has to be a celebrated member of KoB to have that kind of confidence
I think they named this season of SAO wrong, its "Sword Art Online, The series of epic entrances". So many great points, but this fight, is my fav! Everything about it, even him losing is perfect!

It’s more dynamic but it’s not necessarily more effective. Kirito is a master swordsman so he sticks to what he knows. Nothing wrong with that.

@reisen9584 to my recollection Eiji had him outclassed in almost every stat thanks to Yuna. But it was just buffs. The other guy just had plot armor

Alicization definitely had some of the best fights I've seen in the series, I don't think you can really hate this season.

OSの時の最終決戦でXギリみたいになってる切り上げのシーンあるんですけどちゃんと2連撃なんですよね
個人的には剣術がキリト、剣術は劣っても反応速度に勝るのがユウキで体術を使った戦闘術が勝ってるのがエイジだと思ってます
たぶんユウキを含めたスリーピングナイツとエイジ、ユナがキリト達に加わった100層討伐戦ならクリアも出来たんじゃないかと思います
それくらいあの二人は普通のプレイヤーと比べて一線を画してます
