I got this figure and it's probably one of the best alien figures neca has made
right? Did you notice its painted translucent plastic? It weirdly glistens in sunlight

I remember being 7 years old with the Queen Xeno action figure that had an air pump you squeeze under the back of the crown and a little mouth would pop out of her mouth, they were amazingly detailed back then

The Alien Romulus Scorched Xenomorph may very well be my favorite Xenomorph figure so far. The tiger striped dome looks really good. I also like the battle damaged dome as well. I fucking loved Romulus, EXCEPT for the dumbass callbacks and references to the first two movies! Come up with your own iconic lines instead of unnecessarily stopping the movie to repeat iconic lines that doesn't even fit! Fuck that shit! Nostalgia bait is bullshit and I wish movies and shows would stop doing it! Especially fucking Star Wars! Other than that, Romulus is great! THIRD best Alien movie! I'm one of the people that actually really likes the weird thing they did towards the end. Shit was creepy looking, and I dug it! Looking forward to that eventually getting a figure!
Saw this figure at Walmart and was tempted to buy it! Maybe I'll be weak next time and get it...

I agree with your sentiment about Romulus. It was a lot of callbacks. It didn’t offer anything of its self to the franchise in any meaningful way.
I did like that they employed old school Fx. Using models and actual people in suits. The less CGI the better.
But I can’t forgive them for the reuse of Alien Resurrection’s ending gimmick.

I like the figure, plenty of hand options. My only complaint is probably the joint the head stands on. Mine came in loose, so I pray for anyone else’s sake that there’s isn’t in the same condition. All in all, great figure! 7.5/10

The movie was good (for me) until the end. I can ignore the nods to Prometheus and its sequel to a point, but that ending made me roll my eyes.

man, mines still in the box since I got it straight from NECA last year!...ive been waiting for my display case to open the rest of my figures...but you scared me with the tail snapping out of the box thing...now that I look at it in box, it does look quite awkward. lets hope it'll be ok down the road when I open it. but knowing that, now ill be more gentle .

Just buy 2, any figure I take out of the box I buy 2. I'm a in the box collector.
@@brandonknight431 nice. I can’t do that ha, I open them. I keep the box tho. But I like to display them and touch ‘play’ with them.
so, tail did NOT break...I OPENED IT...however, it came with a really loose neck joint ...the ol' wobbly head syndrome...and the damn mouth won't open and close! I can't even pull the inner mouth out....sigh...theres always something with these damn figures.
Thank you for the review. This xenomorph is similar to the Runner in height due to its animal legs. In the film I think they moved a lot on all fours like the Runners and it is the ideal pose for her, especially so as not to look too big next to the humans, because I think both the Runner and this figure Neca made them too big. I like his translucent body, his dome and his hands, but it would have been nice to include an egg/chrysalis like the one that appeared in the movie and I preferred the windowed box like the other Ultimates.

@@TheReviewSpot The movie didn't surprise me and didn't scare me. The human protagonist and the droid protagonist were scarier than the xenomorphs and it must be the opposite. Fear lies in vulnerability, hence the success of Alien of 1979. If the protagonist exterminates xenomorphs with a rifle, there is no longer any fear.
He didn't invent anything. It was a copy of the previous films, including "Get away from her, bitch." The space station that is going to collide with a planet was taken from the Alien Isolation video game of 2014, the xenomorph massacre of Aliens of 1986, the dog form of Alien3 of 1992, the mix with the engineer of Prometheus of 2012 and a little of the Newborn.
As an episode of a series it is fine, but not as a movie, due to lack of originality.
The xeno in Romulus is a lot taller than the regular "big chap", very deliberately so. Alvarez stated that the size and stylistic differences where intentional to indicate that the creatures where genetically modified

Youre complaining about this film being similar to aliens but mind you during the marketing campaign for this movie it WAS explicitly stated that itd lean more into the action-ish tone

The movie absolutely was not crap. Not the best in the series but far from the worst.
@Jeromepkr it was very mid. Definetely overrated. I understand why some would call it crap and i partially agree. It was boring, slow, not scary at all. Im my opinion is the weakest Alien movie. It had some good in it but all Alien movies have at least a bit of good in it.
@ezioauditore1300 what's so awful is that the director Feddy man, did the fantastic job on ' evil dead rise'👍
