  • Fairbanks Morse Model 32 Diesel Engines at the White Pine Logging and Threshing Show in McGrath, Minnesota. These were light plant engines used for generating electricity.

    Amazing collection & history preserved!! Kudos to everybody involved.
    The first engine being started with compressed air may need new big-end bearing or refill the bearing metal. Just guessing from the noise it made initially when it started.
    Great collection. I hope to visit MN some day.

    This is cool. I worked on a Fairbanks mores on and Army tugboat back int the 1980s. Cooper Bessemer too. 2500 hp

      A lot of the machinery I work on in my day job is powered be GE FDL engines, I always though it was neat that the FDL's have Cooper Bessemer roots. I always enjoy seeking out and watching the Bessemer and Cooper Bessemer engines at antique power shows.

    I love old equipment like this. There is no quality in the throw away society we now live in, It's all garbage.
