@@PrincessVelaryon the whole concept of race was based upon how you physically present to the world. if india was half black and looked like sofia richie, then people wouldn’t have treated her as black because she doesn’t appear obviously black. with india, you can tell she has black ancestry. so it makes sense that most people would categorize her as black. technically she is biracial and some people consider that their own category of race but from an outward perspective, india looks more black than white.

Dear God! It's a Bridgerton spin off guys!! Not a historical piece! 🤦♀️ These are fictional characters created for the show. The names are simply very common for the era it's based on. Freaking relax and go touch some grass ffs....
I mean, Queen Charlotte and King George III were very much real historical figures. "The Regency" period refers to the period in which she reigned as regent for her husband who was incapacitated. We don't have this setting at all without the two of them.
Edit: Since many of you seem to have misunderstood, *I'm not complaining about the casting.* They could both be purple for all I care. I only meant to correct that Charlotte and George were real people. I have also been corrected that Charlotte was not the regent. Oops.

@@LalaDepala_00 this series has nothing to do with real life, besides taking inspiration from actual Queen Charlotte. This series is fictional with facts here and there and it even states so in the beginning. This is not a documentary, this is a spinoff from the bridgerton Netflix series and books.

Fun fact! There were black people in high society back then too. Its was common and not seen as strange. There was no race war back then only CLASS war. If you were poor and tried to live above your station then you could be arrested in many places or even killed. So this may seem like a fantasy but if you do some searching you will find them and their diaries. Some channels even provide them on youtube or Spotify. Pretty fun stuff. And these are things I was taught in school (I was homeschooled but the information was very much available at any library. )

ANOTHER fun fact. There were also High society black people who were slave owners as well. In fact Africans were slave traders and sold many of their own people of lower class to other Africans, Muslim Arabs, Asians and then Eurpeons.
Whilst true, this show takes place in alternate timeline. The Great Experiment didn't happen. So looking for historical accuracy is useless anyway.

Yall really are beating all odds and to find your best friend at a young age at 13 that hits home for me personally ....but to not only find your bestfriend but to find them young and be able to be so fortunate to grow up with them and fall inlove with them....and eventually marry your bestfriend that has been there since day one has to be one of the best euphoric and most genuine feelings in the world not to say it doesnt come with many trials and eras and many up and downs but its a partnership thats worth it with your life partner ....you guys are for sure a big example that proves u can be inlove with the same person from a young age and truly grow together while still having fun and living to the fullest ....you guys truly inspire me because I met my bestfriend at 13 him (15) late bloomer lol as well at the end of middle school 8th grade.... though we didnt get together untill the start of our junior year of high school because our story started off as being just best friends and for me the friendship was extremely important and sacred to me Indidnt want to loose sight of that at the time ... We were 15 and 17 when he asked me to be his girlfriend and now at 21 and nearly 23 were still young ofcourse but we never looked back since I get to spend these years growing up with my bestfriend and my partner and thats one of the biggest thanks I give to god for bringing such an amazing human being to my life...although I always say this to him and to peoole who ask us about our relationship that regardless of what time in our lives we met wheather its young or even if we met later on in our adult lives i no i would still run into him and things would still feel right with him time doesnt necessarily matter ...and some day We hope to get a house of our own .... Although were introverts we can be outgoing around very small crowds Family and very close friends are also extremely important to us so for us we invision our home to be a duplex where he can still be able to take care of his mother as she ages because shes been through so much and suffers from many health conditions... she and her partner will live on one side while we live on the other side with our fur animals ....so proud of you Kaed yall defintely set the bar for a lot of young couples and not just couples but genuine friendships as well....keep being who yall are and keep doing what yall love and always work hard for it and remain humble and grateful because I can tell its all paying off ....god bless yall 🙏🏽🖤

I won't like I love seeing this version of Charlotte. Though my friend hates it when they change figures races. This is not a racist thing at all. For one she loves the musical Six and doesn't really complain at all about the women that play the Queens. Similar to that of Hamilton. It still bothers her with historical figures in shows but I keep reminding her it's not accurate and more entertainment and she get's it but still miffed. I mean I felt the same way with the recent David Copperfield movie where the race of the characters were changed from the original book, didn't like that at all, and my friend really hated it. Acting was great though.
