The newest OW2 damage hero, Venture, uses a smart excavator to drill through enemies. Their first abilty is called Burrow, which allows them to move underground while invulnerable. Their Drill Dash dashes forward, pushing enemies back, and their ultimate is a tectonic shock with sends out damaging shockwaves. Their first passive, explorer's resolve, grants them temporary shields when using abilties. Their second passive, Clobber, makes their quick melee do more damage than normal. I hope Venture gets an animated short or cinematic. I will be using this hero to rank up in competitive and do better in quickplay. There are many Play of the Games as Venture in this footage.

We've got the fire-based support, the rock based dps, and I'd count Mei and Pharah as technically water-based and air-based dps. We have all the elements in overwatch

They just made DPS Doomfist but fun and well-designed.
Finally. My experience with blasters in splatoon pays off in another game.

I can't help but feel that Venture and Junkrat would be chaotic besties who would vibe together perfectly
Not sure if you know this yet Phish (Since it wasn't in the video), but you can dash (right click) while burrowing to deal damage, and it puts your cooldown at only 4 seconds instead of 8. So what you can do is burrow, immediately dash towards the enemy for a bit of damage, and jump up with your dash ready to go again, it's really great for catching up to people while underground, it deals extra damage to enemies AND you still get to do your usual combo once you pop up!
Ik damage is damage but using drill underground does like 5 damage
@@dawn.1227 it's enough to start the DPS passive on them too though don't forget, it's obviously more situational but if there's people grouped up it doesn't hurt to burrow through them and cut off some heals while still being able to use your combo, right? 😊

Odds are Venture will get some kind of swimming themed skin. I learned some fun stuff from this, like you break mercy beam underground instantly, apparently cleanse, and can still pick up health packs!
I absolutely ADORE how Venture plays. I LOVE getting combos and hitting a melee like im a bog daddy from BioShock. Super fun 10/10 hero. :D

kinda odd that they decided to use temporary sheild when overhealth exists, maybe they're getting rid of shield (because of the self heal passive for every hero) and replacing overhealth with shield
Temporary shield lets Venture get healed for that health while overheath just disappears

This character is so fun and I've already found a few weird things you can do with their abilities. Apparently if you are on an elevation, burrow, then drill dash off the high ground you still deal the full drill dash damage if you collide with someone. If you ult mid air you crash down like a pile driver instead of falling at normal gravity. There somehow is a way to cancel the burrow while falling off an elevation but I'm not sure what is causing it. Cool stuff and if this character wasn't free I would have bought them anyway.
Venture is 100 percent a ground type Pokémon trainer
It's only worth watching OW videos nowadays if you REALLY enjoy watching the person themselves. Like there have been some changes to the game that have been LESS awful than others, but as a whole these kinds of people are the only reason this game still has ANY following. Entertainers like Phish are OW's life support system at this point.

3:45 you can also dash right at the end to prolong. Also, theres a moment where you can get punched while burrowing out and still take damage but not stun, did it in qp and watched in a replay to make sure. Tried to redo it in qp and couldnt get the timing right except for like once

They were damaged to a single shield health. Shield health regens, but it stopped regening after the shield passive timed out so it defaulted to 1 hp.

They added Chomper from GW2 to OW2
Phish you can also do the dash thing while underground to speed up and the cool-down is less the combos are insane
They're kinda like old doom that can shoot explosive symmetra orbs
So we got Illari for fire, Venture for ground, LifeWeaver for plants, now we a pure air based hero and a water based hero and we got all the elements
Actually I could see an avatar (not blue monkeys) themed skin thing, Venture is toph, Illari can be Zuko, Kiriko can be Suki and genji is Sokka (his sword and the shurikens can be little boomerangs), Sigma would be Aang, since his little balls can be fire, his rock is earth bending, his vortex grasp can be like a wall of water, and his ultimate he enters the avatar state and picks people up with air bending, as for the shield, maybe it’s like ice, since water benders can do that, as for Katara, idk who would work, maybe Mei I guess, Winston can be the spirit panda from that one episode haha, Zenyatta could either be the guru that helps Appa find Aang, Monk Gyatso, or Uncle Iroh, and junkrat sadly could be Bumi, cause Both are crazy but the abilities would really match up with explosions and earth bending, Junkerqueen could be Azula with the lighting thing with her knife, or may who throws knives, Hammond could be Momo while the ball is Appa, or Winston could be Appa, LifeWeaver could be those swamp guys who bend the plants

For anyone who doesn't know, i figured out you can use their drill charge while underground, which also reduces the cooldown to only 4 seconds instead of 8. i think it does a little bit of damage and increases their already great mobility
