The irony of a post-rock band embracing the lyric video format is not lost on Solkyri! The band typically known for their emotive and powerful wall of sound, invites you to experience 'Home' in a whole new light with this lyric video.
Featuring the stunning vocal of then-unknown, now revered Hannah Joy from indie pop group Middle Kids, the band half-heartedly became frustrated with the numerous requests from their fans requesting for the lyrics to the track. The band felt that by releasing the lyrics with the studio footage from the original recording sessions will settle many arguments across various UA-cam comment sections attempting to decipher the lyrics.
This lyric video is released In support of the 10 year anniversary of their debut album ‘Are You My Brother?’. The album has now been pressed on vinyl for the very first time through Bird’s Robe Records & Dunk! Records.
The band will also embark on a brief stint of shows in Melbourne and Sydney this November in support of this vinyl release. This wall round out a fantastic year for the band after they have recently completed a European tour with label mates We Lost the Sea with performances at Denmark’s A Colossal Weekend and Belgium’s Dunk! Festival.

Footage of Dax’s backyard brought a smile to my face. Some wonderful memories of that little studio, the hours spent on that same couch and trips to Penriff… very cool to dig up the footage for this lyric video and always a pleasure to hear Hannah’s vocals with this track. 🤘🏻
