They always have been - and still, very much are - the most amazing band, bunch of guys, talented beyond all belief, and put on the most fantastic, energetic, get-you-moving shows. Been a fan of theirs since they were a bar band, so .... yeah. They have been my favorite for most of my adult life (I'm 59 now).
I saw them in Madrid in 1992... exactly the same show. Amazing! Nuno was superb. They came back afterwards in june 1994, with aerosmith. TERRIFIC concert!
Not only tight hot band but good natured east coast dudes dancing with chicks, etc. who raid the stage. Idiot bands with frontmen like Asshole Rose start riots, walk off, fight, whine, etc. Extreme is awesome.

I hate to say it, but Cherone's image and antics dated Extreme at a time when grunge was all the rage, and probably did a lot to keep them from being as successful as they deserved to be.
I tried for the longest time to like this band I just can't. In fact the more I've tried to like them the more I despise them. I think they're part of the reason that rock took a turn to the grunge scene. They are to Rock what MacDonalds is to the Hamburger. Absolutely no substance and all flash!

This band would have been huge if they had started 10 years earlier. They were coming into their prime when grunge blew up. Nirvana killed Extreme.
