I’ve left Pentecostalism for Eastern Orthodoxy, waiting to become a catechumen at an Antiochian parish in my area. I’ve heard way too much dispensationalism and Christian Zionism in the Pentecostal church, totally over it.

Yes, and Hagee takes it so far as to suggest that Jews do not need Christ for salvation and still have a separate covenant, which amounts to a denial of Christ. I don't really even see how Hagee can be called a Christian since his theology is so far off the mark. He's definitely making lots of money off of his teachings, though.

While some people take exception to the mention of a Zionist connection to dispensationalism, it is literally true in the sense that at least some of the funding of the Scofield Reference Bible came from Samuel Untermyer, a self-proclaimed Zionist attorney. So far as I know, that is not really disputed and is a widely acknowledged fact. It was the Scofield Reference Bible that really popularized the dispensationalist heresy.

Since tares necessarily must look like wheat, then the bundles can be likened to denominations that look like Christ's, but are not.
I'm confused. If the 1000 years is the time between the first and second coming of Christ as stated by St. Andrew, how can that be true since it's been over 2000 years since those two comings?
The position is that the thousand years are not literally one thousand years but rather symbolic. Same way that the Psalms say that God reigns over a thousand hills (I think that’s the verse), but that doesn’t mean that God ONLY rules over a thousand hills, but that the number is symbolic for something grand and enduring. God will be praised for a “thousand generations” but that doesn’t mean that God will only be worshipped by a thousand generations and that this will stop afterwards.

@@paulmelonas7263 The prophets tended to round up or down to the nearest sacred number, and the biggest is 1,000, so anything over that is going default to a “millennium”.
Postmil is not dispensationalist, Wilson's view is more consistent with the fathers and says the millennium is not literal, however he says that there will be a golden age of Christianity.
Fr. what is the Orthodox response to the early Fathers like Justin Martyr and Irenaeus teaching a literal thousand years? How did they get this so wrong?

This is pre-millenialism, not post-mil. Pre-mil: literal thousand years (chiliasm), post-mil: not literal 1000 years but the Church will eventually conquer the world and Christ will come down to His kingdom made ready for His arrival, amil: also not literal 1000 years but things will become bad rather than good and Christ will come set it all straight.
