The design was acquired from Hudson after they went out of business and Daniel Defense made some changes to it. From a pure facts based perspective, this is good representation. I think the comparison falls short but maybe that’s what the full review will discuss later.
Extra length in pants in no problem, looks like it’s shorter than G19 with same round count, as thin as hellcat/most carry/micro nines, I would say it’s a good option for edc right up there with sig 365xl, hellcat pro, and sig macro. I would rather have the DD H9 if it turns out to be as reliable, it just seems better being all metal and low bore axis, if 100% reliable I’d vote it’s better than all the plastic wonder 9’s for carry. But until it gets some street cred I’ll stick with my 357mag snub, HK usp compact 9, beretta storm compact, and s&w CSX, and reflex.
Thank goodness we have so many great options of pistols these days for carry! Wish there were more da/sa guns being made, and more revolvers but there every time of size shape and color of striker fired guns (Glocks/wannabe Glocks)
Where is it is a better question! Opening day mine was ordered. They’ve told me up to THREE months. Why announce when it’s coming out at all.
Just got the email notification. I should have it by Monday but there still aren’t any holsters available so I’ll just have to go to my range club and see if anyone can make it for me. Probably.
@user-fj7vm9fz2h I'm not a huge fan of Crossbreed, but they have a few holster available right now.
TXC has one coming soon.
AMS also has one coming soon.
ANR Designs has a few available "quick ship" options in stock right now too.
I have the crossbreed rogue w the sidecar. Not as clean as t1 but it gets the job done even though I had to swap all the washers around to get retention. For”hand fitted” holsters I was pretty disappointed. That being said over 1k downrange w the dh9 failure free. Only two gripes are the poor plate system. Slimline pistol w limited plate options for o my full sized optics. Not to mention, and 3 months for my plate. And the mock grip safety/beaver tail piece I believe they call the “upper backstrap” feels cheap and wobbly and bites the knuckle of your thumb. Otherwise I think they did a great job w the Hudson reboot.
@@damonspinelli1352 TYVM for the problems I’m probably going to have. Let’s me know what to watch for. I’m sure updates will come. I’m hoping the stock sites are good at least till the plate problem is resolved. It’s the holster now I’ll need to resolve. I was surprised but my extra mags came yesterday. I was told it would probably be about two weeks before the pistol arrives and that the mags are made in a separate place. My hands though are smaller than most so it might be different for me. I’ll see. But really Thanks for the heads up on what to expect. I’m hoping for a new EDC. Is it as flat shooting as they say? Or snappy?
@@user-fj7vm9fz2hthe og Hudson was flatter being all steel. But the dh9 it’s a much better design. And yes it’s a flat shooting gun. Nothing crazy compared to anything comped/ported in comparison but the impulse is different and very easy to shoot fast. And despite what the video seems to portray. I carry a custom cqb commander, an s2c and a p365x. This dh9 disappears aiwb for me. Even more than my 365x because I use a thick sharps grip module.
