100% agree with you. I played deadside on release. was boring. 1.0 was a great update but there is still a lot of work to be done. let's pray for a 2.0 update.
I love how the AI will know when I'm shooting, and pick that moment to change strafe directions. Dumping a full SVD mag into the air while one guy moonwalks around all my bullets feels like a Matrix reference.
Why I can't continue with this game: AI: Don't think I need to say anything about this one Weapon Attachments: They suck and especially the optics/sights. Dead Map: I absolutely hate that they chased quantity over quality with the map. They extended before they did ANYTHING with the map they had...most of the POIs are garbage/boring and then there's the dead space to get to these boring POIs Missions: They need for variety and the base one (clearing a POI) should NOT be something where the completion of it is announced. It leads to cheesy gameplay where folks simply wait for the announcement to then attack the person who actually had the balls to take on the mission.
With as difficult as the AI can be for early players, I appreciate it. It makes Pve worth playing. Once you grind into the highest tier, it's over. The path finding of the AI is wild. They need to reduce their line of sight so they can't engage you from 300+ meters away. The sleeping bags. Enough said. I enjoy the CQB with bots as well. The fact I can walk outside my base and get smoked by a roving convoy is quite hilarious. I agree with all your points. Although I really hope they make all vehicles repairable/usable. The BMP and aircraft from the airfield would make awesome useable vehicles too. There is so much potential in this game. One thing I wish they would do: make respawns w/o beds/bags localized, yet random. Not the opposite coordinate of the map.
need more dev communication because 1.0 was really great and I would hate to see the momentum die. would love to hear what community feedback they have been listening to and what they are currently working on since 1.1.
The AI problems are foundationally a problem that affect the gameplay loop more than just not being fun enemies as well. I played for only a couple days before realizing that there's hardly any point in wasting time on any task lower than a level 3. You talk about the PVP and town sleeping bags which are annoying, but if you find a pistol you can put a sleeping bag right outside the mission zone, get one or 2 bots to chase you into a position where you can easily take them out, and snowball a whole kit until you've completed the mission, and if you shoot at them from far enough away and die, just respawn collect your stuff and continue. Want to get a strong vest and helmet? Just find a truck, put a sleeping bag 100 meters out, run down half a convoy with one pass then clean up the scraps. Literally the first things I'll do if I fresh spawn to get a kit, then I'm just aimlessly running around looking for PVP, it doesnt feel like early game really even exists, if I have a pistol, scorpion or pp19 for more than 10 min its because its taking me a little while to find a vehicle. Definitely agree with the bloom I also wish the bullets were a little faster and that might help the AI aim a bit more accurately as well.
Biggest thing is definitely the AI needing improvement, but the rest are all good suggestions too. I think the progression system is another big one, and I like your suggestions based on that.
Sleeping bags are my issue, they shouldn’t be allowed in ( event areas, or landmark PvP areas ie airfield.. you can’t win a fight with the guy you just killed respawning instantly in a room next to you, kill him again and he’s spawned a little further up full kit instantly as easy to kit up at airfield etc there’s gotta be a radius for where they can’t be placed at event areas it’s endless and not fun
They would be fools to not to continue to tweak the mechanics and keep adding content. Wildlife, more map POI's. More crafting options, skins, weapons and attachments. I think they need to consider weather and furniture you can actually interact with. On a side note I found the bloody stone altar on the Island at F4 last night and got a big dose of jump scare. Id love to see more in the map like that.
Most of this i agree with 100%. Player render distance, and inaccuracy of guns, and no high power scopes are my biggest issues. Also the bag system needs rework.
Exactly. I don't think the guy who made the video understands that the whole point of this game was to have a survival game that doesn't require you to play it like it's your primary career lol
@@striderida1 yea this is the new trend. People play a game so much they get bored. Instead of taking a break they make these videos. I did like the passion tho
The AI definitely needs to be fixed, especially how they spawn. The reason I don't play Dayz or Scum anymore is they became like a second job and a chore to play. This game is supposed to be a pick up and play type game.
I know, the ai, etc, though, truly this game is really good, the team spent a long time trying to implement bikes and cars and now that has been resolved they will eventually catch up.....though to be with a game from the start we see the transitions they made and know they are a small company trying hard to truly make a great game. Give it time, this game truly is fun and has great future potential.
I have literally seen someone build a 1x1 around a tree with a door on it so they could go afk and farm wood for a long time without getting killed...it's so dumb
i was just coming back and i like the fast pace style of the game no Dayz with grinding and hours and hours before action or some kind of a base just pure funfor people not having time spending their whole "life" on one game
The bots have been trash ever since the first release of the game, I dont think they know how to make them better, they've already apparently updated them, but they are still garbage.
the vehicle sounds are so dumb...you can hear them from miles away and even it gets closer it still feels like its miles away. Also AI...what happened with them? They worked better before
Unfortunately if some of these changes aren't made they are going to lose out on the hype around update 1.0 and the game will die. As is, the server i usually play on barely has any people on it now.
Pls make the Game harder and more realistic and add back the helmet and armor hitboxes. We need the 1 taps back. That was the best Feature. Realistic. Thank You
Deadside is about flexibility. Not everyone wants to cook. So people buy food. Not everyone wants a base. So they put bags down where ever. The more annoying the game gets to play, the less I want to play. I get they want people spending time in the game but if it was much more laborious than it is now, I and my team would ditch it again. There's enough loot runs required to do things already. Any more and it will just be a senseless "lets be a worker-bee to get materials" rather than enjoying the game. Upkeep is already annoying.
I understand bots in military areas, cities, town etc. But those bots in middle of nowhere is just nonsense and we just drive though em. Add nothing to the game.
Facts! The AI feels unrealistic and annoying. The shoot you from 500m away and they chase you to the end of the earth. I had an AI from the epic mission that spawns at the north western lumber mill chase me over 1km away from the mission area. Constantly shooting at me the whole way.
If they made some of these changes you talk about the game would be abandoned. The whole point of this game is to finally give people a survival game that doesn't require playing like a career to enjoy. If you just make it harder to do things then people will just go back to more established survival games like dayz. I think of anything some things should be made even easier still so your common "dad" can login, get fully geared and ready to PvP within a short amount of time.
Go play call of duty if you want it easier. The points made in the video are to expand progression and add depth to the game. The wipe cycle is currently a month, you can get to endgame in 4 hours in this game. If they want people to continue to play the game for long periods of time and come back day after day then the game needs to have more progression then spawn in, loot gun off ground and shoot at broken AI
Disagree on the static body deters offline raiding. But I do agree on the spawning inside after you get raided. Someone who builds a base should not lose all there loot because of no life Andy and his 3 friends living in the basement waits till 3 am when someone's offline.
@@ItsBoots2 I don't think he is. Why should someone lose all their progress because someone offline raids him. A better choice would be to make some ones base un-raidable when they are offline. Then and only then should they lose their spawn point inside the base.
@andrewc1442 that's stupid and back to the original raid system this game had before. We're trying to progress and move forward. Not backwards. It's not hard to upgrade a base and make it strong enough to survive the night. Being able to get raided offline is what makes the loot valuable in the first place. If Noone can ever get raided. Loot has no value. They've already added "raid timers" . Go play those servers.
@@ItsBoots2 I disagree to your premise that you can make a base strong enough to last a night. Any base can be raided by a determined person(s), its just a matter of perseverance. And I agree if no-one can be raided then loot loses its value. I'm just a proponent that you should only lose your loot when you are there to defend it.
@ItsBoots2 also was not moving backwards on this premise. First off, you can't take a whole base with you when you log off, there's still plenty of loot in a base. Second the reason that the raid token was taken out was for the people who'd build a base then leave the server which caused server load. The only people that offline raiding helps are big groups who are trash at pvp and no lifers at the game. Explosives aren't hard to grind either a base will not be strong enough, even full metal bunkers. We aren't playing rust the value of loot in this differs from player to player. If you want your explosives back make it to where you can't log out with explosives in inventory.
Yupp, cant say i dont abuse it either, got claimed i was cheating in airfield bcus he killed me 9 times in the span of 15min, i had 9 bags around hangar
Bro do you even play? You are crying about sleeping bags left inside a base you take over? 😂 remove the sleeping bag if you don’t want it there. Horrible list here from someone who doesn’t even play
Bro, do you even listen? You can log out inside a base. Not talking about sleeping bags. You can destroy the sleeping bag. And if the person logged out inside the base, they spawn back in where they logged out, regardless if they have a bag or not. You're an idiot lmao. Side note. This was community feedback I gathered and expanded upon.. sounds like you're the one out of touch.
I would honestly rather deal with the weapon jamming when the durability gets low than the damn thing shooting left and right. That shit is stupid. I'll have a Mosin with like 70 durability and it does that shit. Thats stupid.
