❤Is there any way you can send me the original video about Einstein's quotes before it was edited, that video was so beautiful with all those words put together❤
This is my first encounter with Sri Aurobindo and it feels refreshing. Without two points of reference there is no space. Likewise without the manifest, life, mind, there’s no way for Consciousness to be self aware. Seems like a natural evolutionary process when considered this way. God’s ‘coming of age’ where ego is a necessary byproduct. Feels quite wonderful & inclusive for me. 🙂
His book Integral Yoga I've read seems to take this dualism in too chaotic directions but that may just mean I'm too behind or whatever to properly grasp it
Wonderful to get a glimpse of such a great master, almost completely unknown outside of India. His book "The Life Divine" is a gift to an awakening world.
Aurobindo is quite well known on the west coast and particularly in California. The Sri Aurobindo Center of Los Angeles was founded in 1953 and the California Institute of Integral Studies, based in part on the teachings of Aurobindo, was founded in 1968. His name pops up regularly among spiritual seekers in the Pacific NW as well. I’d say he’s pretty well known wherever the counterculture movement of the 1960’s was active and where interest in Eastern spiritual traditions is still prevalent today.
The work these ladies do is beautiful, the Live Q&A is brilliant too ❤. I’ve been listening for years and this channel has restored my faith in humanity.
Dear Samaneri Jayasara, Deep bow and heartfelt gratitude for all your wonderful offerings…you have become a trusted source of inspiration and wisdom in my life 🙏🏻 I hope you will get to read Sri Aurobindo‘s poetry…especially His epic poem Savitri…a book I have cherished for 35 years. Your narration of Savitri would be a great gift to the world… ❤Chidananda
Thank you for your heartfelt appreciation. The reading of Savitri has been done well in its entirety here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbJ59iL6vu-WU24puVD4ibNAXEW3pdA1r.html&si=QCcmFL9iZM5Ljwcy
With gratitude 😊❤ for this new video... As usual your soft voice, slow tempo , your Presence expressed through your voice bring all these spiritual teachings comprehensible and awaken the inner experience, and brings the Divine Presence in front in this body mind... A great gift to start the day ❤😊
Sri Aurobindo is special, he is also known by the western spirituality, the Rosicrucians and Anthroposophists. Because he is not stuck in the "Old" Yoga which is not for the current humanity. The integral Yoga
Dress it up any way you like, anthroposophy is still a conceptual construct of the mind and therefore can get one only part way to what Aurobindo is pointing to here. He’s talking about precisely what the Upanishads were saying thousands of years ago but in more contemporary language. There is no “old” or “new” yoga, only new ways of talking about-or more accurately, pointing to-the essential truth that has always been and that continues to unfold in and as each of us and all of us. But as the Zen master said, if I speak of the Way I’m a liar; but if I remain silent I’m a coward. In other words, ultimate truth can never be conveyed adequately by words or concepts but we still have to try. Thankfully Aurobindo and the other great sages and saints on this channel “fail” at the attempt better than most.
I completely understand what is being said here and I do practice self development with genuine ardour. But I am in this world, not some monastery, where everything is regulated toward higher development. Therefore my path is long and difficult. And more satisfying when achievements are attained. And what is wrong with a balanced ego which recognizes itself as part of the massive?
You are still thinking in terms of right and wrong. There is nothing wrong with who you are except that. Only you can give yourself permission to be totally yourself. Know that other peoples ideas are just that, and you are loved as you are.
@@annaharris626bros doing his karma yoga. No better or worse than any "path" I say more power to his elbow. Far as I can tell so is everyone else too, without exception. We're holistic beings not this or that, and yet both this and that. We wouldn't be here if we wernt.
@@SamaneriJayasara Thank you Samaneri Jayasara. When I came across Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in 1976, I knew immediately this was what I was born for. Yet, I have studied Sufism with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Kriya Yoga with Roy Eugene Davis, Tibetan Buddhism with Morton Clausen, and have led Christian contemplative prayer groups in NY City, and both North and South Carolina. For one thing, I don't see any conflict in these paths, though each points to a different "aspect" of the Infinite Reality. To "think" about what this means is futile. When we open to the ever present all pervading Silence, by Grace we become spontaneously rooted in That, while opening to the Descent of the Grace of the Divine Mother. This is not something to think about. I'm skeptical of deviation from the "old."
"Old" is ancient knowledge. It is knowledge that never changes. It is eternal.
Depends how your interpretation of old is.
A prequel to Meher Baba Who dictated the 1956 book God Speaks on the method and purpose of Creation.
