I think the cut off overalls were a smart idea. Sandi *hates* shorts but it’s too hot for long pants so she made it work to get it done. Due to chronic illness I can’t drive so one of my sisters graciously takes me to do errands once a week (plus any medical appointments). She got bronchitis last year (scary given global circumstances) so my mum drove me. When we got home she wrapped her arms around my sister & wailed “I’m so sorry, she just doesn’t shut up”. Kate was like “thank you. I’m aware”. Don’t worry Mark, it can always be worse 😂
My dad was a grain farmer and my mum moved to his world and helped him before i was born. But by the time i came along they had moved to town (to where mum was from) and were doing other stuff. So i never got to learn about farming. Its nice to learn bits and pieces. :)
Hello from USA. Sorry for your loss Sandi. Losing someone close is never easy. Glad you have your family to help you through things. Rain during harvest is difficult but the other crops will benefit. Thanks for sharing your harvest with us...take care.
So appreciate you sharing your farming life! I grew up on a small Iowa farm. We had lambs till the coyotes were too aggressive. Mostly cattle and hogs. Corn and alfalfa. Nice memories watching your posts. I like your outfit!! I pray for peace and loving memories as you deal with this anniversary time of your friend Amy.
You are an amazing woman with an amazing family. I’m 68 and have lost many loved ones so I know what you’re going through. We will always have the happy memories.
I know it's a lot of work to make these videos along with all your other tasks, but I just wanted to say a big thanks! Your vlogs are so interesting and so very honest and genuine. Keep up the great work (so long as it makes sense for you guys ;) )!!

Hi from NZ. My cousins ran a 2000 acre crop farm, some sheep and cattle. I’m intrigued about crop farming. My parents sheep farm had a 6+unit per hectare. Mid 1970s we ran about 2000 sheep and 50 cattle. We had to sell the farm due to ill health. We lost both our parents. Our mother passed first than 2 years later our father. My siblings were very young and I had just started High School. My siblings both in Agriculture. Brother Dairy Farmer and sister Horticulture degree etc. Both very capable and successful.
I crack up when you talk about the heat. Wayyyyyyy down in the southern us Florida has bipolar weather today it felt literally like a Sauna. A good humid 109. To us, 40 degrees is freezing!
Another excellent video....I'm living vicariously through you guys and enjoying it much better than me playin' Farming Simulator '19 :D Do your kids have any interest in taking over the farm someday? In the back of my mind I keep wondering if you and Mark should combine your vlogs into one, but the answer I keep coming up with is 'No...two is better than one'. Having two different perspectives on something makes it very interesting/educational/entertaining. Keep it up! RIP Amy.
