Nick, this was an awesome and amazing way to show off the Ludwig Universal models. Now it's just which model do I want! I believe you can't go wrong with a Ludwig snare drum.
I actually got my 14x8 universal black brass snare from sweetwater about a month ago, and it's a cannon of a drum. Super loud crack with that beefy low end still behind it. I crank it high on batter and reso and it still has tons of body. Great lineup!
It’s obvious that chrome plating has really driven the price of drums into the stratosphere. It’s now over $729 USD for a classic Supra, so these Universal’s are a nice alternative. Okay so the metal drums are black nickel plated versus chrome and they are not seamless, but where else is the cost savings coming from? Are these drums imported like The Venus snare drum?

Straight into the Guinness Book of Records, For the most snares in a drum set!! Well done
I love your hihat playing, Nick
That kick must’ve sounded real buzzy from all those snares 😂
I think any drum Nick plays, will sound great.

Everything sounded great, but love the Walnut and Cherry offering especially!
Super great demo. Very enjoyable to watch. A lot of creativity and musicality in Nick's execution. Nice sounding snares. Love this video.
Wow! Amazing idea and sounds, of course!!!
That is a brilliant way to demo all those drums!

Nick got that dream job
Yes, yes, yes, sounds so good!!!
I didn't think about it that much before, but i'm surprised at just how much the choice of snare changes the whole vibe of the track.
What are the cymbals? Love them!
Wow these are nice. Sweetwater is the best! 🥁🥁🥁
Smooth grooves!
Ok… what are the little red dampeners and where do I get some!?
Who needs toms anyways when you can have a ton of snares
I like the cymbals. Are those HHX Legacy?
double-flange toupe?
If I ever get the money, I'm buying a nice Ludwig kit. Always lusted after them.
I'm going to get one of these because I can't afford any other exotic wood snare ATM lol

Supras and Unversals are on a different spectrum... the Universals are more on the Black Beauty line as it's Brass. Supras are Aluminum
Awesome
Where are they made?
Taiwan 🇹🇼
The all snare kit
The last one @:36 tho🤤
Giant Chris Dave drum set
Talk about having an extra side snare..😊
Why not tune all the drums to same pitch so the sound of the shell & hoops would be the main variables? Same with dampening some but not others.
This video is reminscent of Spinal Tap's "Big Bottom" except its a kit that's all snare drums, instead of 3 basses 🙂
Would you consider doing a collaboration with Andy Timmons?
Someone call Terry Bozzio!
For a second I thought it was Max Weinberg 🤣
Gooshy in the hands,
Definately a good thing! 💦
By the way Nick, tell your mom I said hello 😉 🤗
"I'll give you the bass drum with the snare wires off"
15 minutes laytaahh
Thud.thud.thud.
"Ok and now with the snare wires on"
