@@chasethatredss Dude the subs looks reaaaaaaaaaally to suck. I'm not even American but if I was and if I'd to go in the navy the subs would be the last thing I would choose.
There is actually a very funny documentary about an aussie submarine that used intentional noise to win a simulated fight against a US carrier fleet. There's awesome footage of the whole crew clanging pots and pans, jumping from the last rung of the ladder, banging stuff against the walls, etc. In the mess hall a soldier is interviewed about this and just points at the cook: "He loves it. He gets to be the noisy bastard, he is." They keep this up from the moment they arrive in the operations area until the exercise officially starts (quote from the captain: "The americans had no idea. They thought, they couldn't possibly lose those loud aussies.") and then drop dead silent and hug a coastal reef with super low running engine. They had to travese a specified strait, but they just waited. In the end they had the american fleet so worried about losing, that they started to use their active sonar to search for the sub, because they couldn't find it on passive. That ofcourse made it super easy to avoid the destroyer screen and just slip on by :) [Edit: Oh, almost forgot the best part - the moment they won, they started blasting "I come from a land down under" on *their* speakers, so the sonar operators would pick it up. Legends! :)]
