Love it! So annoying when girls say other girls can’t have an Afro just because they have a diff hair texture. This is an Afro 100%!
Call it the “ZoFro”
Your hair is beautiful but kinky hair doesn't need to be cut in layers to achieve a great afro. Shrinkage will naturally allow the shape to form despite the uniform length.
Also using a pick after it’s dry can give it a more rounded shape. My hair naturally grows kinda like a heart shape but I just use a pick to fluffy out the bottom. And I don’t have bangs so I just put my hair in front my face when I’m adding products and scrunch it to make it shorter, sometimes I add a bobby pin underneath too if the front is still too long.
Yea her hair is looser (type 3) so for her and type 3 curls, they probably have to cut their hair
Agreed, I can use a comb and a brush and my hair literally just forms its own Afro even without a pick

I think because you have a looser hair type (and I’ve noticed, the looser your hair, it’ll grow down rather than out) you have to cut it into an Afro shape. Whereas type 4 or kinky coily textured hair, ours is naturally in an Afro shape (for the most part)

Yeah this is wrong, I’ve seen Hispanic dudes type 3 who do nothing to their hair get round Afros.

Hi maybe your technique is going to work on my hair.... The problem i have is that in the shower it takes 2 hours to drtangle my hair because it's so dry!!!!! I want volume so i don't put much product on my hair but then it gets dry....
