I hate to buy chinese, but like you say, if they are willing to innovate on the Samurai platform when no one else is then so be it. i sure hope i can swing one of these for the front of my samurai at some point! Fun funds have been limited! Thanks for the great info!

I might have missed it in another video. When you wire these up do they stay locked with the key in the off position?

The lockers turn off when the key is off. But if you want them to stay on, you can wire than differently than instructions show. If you connect the wire that is supposed to go to a key, ignition source, straight to the battery in the lockers will stay on with the key off. But I don’t think that’s a good idea.

@@ultra4suzukisamurai679 my concern is shutting the rig off on the trail and it slide/move going from locked to open diff.I realize this isn't a common scenario but completely possible.Other than accidentally leaving them on and draining the battery why else would it not be a good idea.

@@ripnandtearing you can wire straight to the battery for sure, you just have to remember to turn them off to not kill the battery. But that would take quite a while. The draw less than 1 amp each.

Would you recommend for a Sami with stock axels on 31’s
I’ve been putting this off for years, at the list price under 800 (if I saw that right) then a 10% discount it would be close to half what I thought I would pay for an Air locker.

I would recommend it. So much nicer than a lock right or spartan if you street drive it. I run 33s on my Samurai, I race it and it’s about 700 lbs heavier than stock.

Thank you, of course now you have me thinking about 26 spline axels

@@trentbrennen1579with a front locker 26 spline axles are a must. Then you order a rear part number to go up front. The stock 22 spline axles are far too weak to handle a locker. With an open diff each axle will only get 50% of the available torque, never more. With a locker each axle can get up to 100% of the available torque.
