IcyGamer a lot of people consider all of LA county as LA, either way it’s top 100 and out of the maybe 5,000? cities in the world, I’d put it pretty far up there

Can we just talk about the lack of lots? If this is supposed to be like California, why isn't there more houses and or apartments? The in-game scenery is amazing! My favorite so far which is why it is frustrating that you can't live in more areas.
Personally I think if I were to really want to focus on this world I'd probably convert a few of the commercial lots to residential. Like make some downtown apartment buildings or something like that. It's still really lame though.
They play it too save and probably cut the times to release more and more packs.
@@pinkradioheadtv Yeah I wish they would focus on making great packs with loads of stuff to do. Then rush packs and or split them up instead of making a bigger pack. For example cats and dog and my first pet 😐, Parenthood and toddler stuff pack and etc. I'm a believer of EA focusing on making money off of small stuff. Think about it the base game was already expensive. And every expansion is $40, game pack is $20 and stuff pack is $10. It is ridiculous how much money you spend for this game. I'm well over $100 of dlc to make there are more interesting.
Chii Fiine yup. Correct. I feel like I still play the sims from time to time when something new comes out but get bored of game play right away and recently just started building since it’s the funnest thing to do even though I suck at it. Gameplay is lacking so challenges etc are a must to make it interesting

Its ea, they rather want small worlds because they are cheaper, and they can pump out more of them so they can take every last penny out of your pocket

MrsSonic91 that world I’m pretty sure was designated for work places, not residential places. This town is such a disappointment.
I read they created this world so much smaller first because every world and every Sim they add change the game speed and the game quality, and they supposedly said they made it smaller so that more worlds could come without them having impact on the gaming quality. So chill. They have their reasons. :)
This is the perfect pack to follow up with the "Keeping up with the Bigwallets" lets play. The storyline can be that they all becomes celebrities from their garden reality TV show.
So the 5 star celebrities have no bodyguards? That's... unrealistic.

they were a main feature in city living, so I am guessing they aren't adding them back, thought it would have been perfect in the new world.
Evelina They couldn't really do that though because not everyone owns city living and that would be making an expansion for an expansion in a way. If they recreated apartments and people didn't need city living then people would be mad about the fact that they bought city living for apartments but people are getting it just by buying a different pack if that makes sense.
I feel like apartments would be added to future worlds but unfortunately not this one. I honestly don't think that they would just have one single world that has apartments but I'm not sure.

in the world background u see so many skyscrapers and tall buildings. and yet so little lots. least they coudlve did was add in 1 townhouse(can be 2 lots in building), or a rundown apartment(up to 4 lots). then that couldve alteast added some more lots into the world. if they had issues with neibhorhoods, feels like they put so much detail into the look of the world and neihborhoods, vs using the full potential of the world T_T. other then that, i like the rest of the expansion pack. love your video *^*

There were robbers in sims 3 but people complainded that people we're having panic attacks they we're that scared so they decided to remove them completely ^_^

Love the idea but the only problem is that in teen runaway you're supposed to lie low and try not to be noticed by adults.
I have the best idea for the next rags to riches. Create Andy Dwyer have him live in the pit and pursue an acting career.
I wish that city living have you the option to put in apartment buildings in any world like if took the three or four apartment building from SAN mysomthing have a couple different colours then we could place it like any other house. Or even just a stiff pack with a extra world with a couple new Apartments and houses, like the intire thing just be the world and maybe a few build mode items. Idk just wish I wasn’t stuck in the one world.
They didn't add apartments probably because it would require you to have city living, I wish they still did it though. I'm kinda disappointed, i expected it to build off city living a lot more
they couldve done it. you could buy a vet clinic and run it in cats/dogs without owning get to work (i bought cats/dogs before g2w)
Victoria Jaques owning the vet clinic was more like the dine out pack where you were able to own restaurants, it runs different than get to work. The acting job should work like get to work also but if they did that it would require get to work
Kelsey Long it wouldnt have required city living. that’s like saying to get city living you would need city living. if someone with just the base game can buy city living and get apartments, then someone with just the base game can buy get famous and get apartments. None of the packs (other than my first pet) require you to have other packs.
triangular get famous isn't apartments, city living gave you ability to have apartments, they aren't going to give us another pack that also allows you to have apartments. You're saying they should've released my first pet stuff on it's own without required the pets pack because my first pet should already give you the ability to have pets. They lose money that way, so they would never do that cause at that point city living would almost be pointless if you got all the same stuff you did with another pack plus more, then city living would basically become $20 for a new world

IF YOU BOUGHT ANOTHER PACK THAT INCLUDED APARTMENTS THEN IT WOULD OBVIOUSLY BE PRETTY DIFFERENT THAN CITY LIVING AND IT WOULDNT BE LIKE BUYING CITY LIVING TWICE.
Also, I dont know why you’re response was mostly about the my first pet pack considering i hardly mentioned it. My first pet was stupid and an obvious grab at more money.

Honestly, about Del Sol Valley's size... remember Get to Work? World in it did have just 4 lots plus 3 "work area" lots which you couldn't travel freely, unless you went to work. Compare to that, Del Sol Valley is much bigger and there is actual areas to live too. I'm happy about that

I wasn't so excited about this pack release, but after watching you play I can see myself getting into this. I'll have a bit of a wait however, console player. I am hoping we get terrain when everyone eles does.

You don't have to miss it. Buy it second hand, install it and enjoy the best Sims game to date. Even the base game alone is better than anything TS4 has offered so far. Graphics can look outdated, but there are tons of CC and mods to make it look almost as good as TS4. What matters is gameplay at the end of the day, and TS2 is the best one in that regard. You'll see once you play it.

I feel this more as a gamepack then an expansion. I miss more lots in a city as L.A. It is a combine of Late Night (clubs etc.) and Get to Work. They missed the chance to add more residential lots, add some appartments or hotels, add cars, add an ocean to swim in. You get a new career, you get a popularity system but is that bigger then getting Welness (skill), Nature (holiday world), Dine out (restaurants) or Parenthood (parenting game change!) etc.
Yeah, the world really would have felt more alive with your ideas.
They're not gonna add this much stuff in a Sims 4 expansion. Maybe once upon a time in TS3 but definitely not in 4.

Awesome overview... I read that the reason for the world having so few lots is because The Sims team was concerned about overall performance of the game for lower-spec computers... kinda sucks as it doesn't feel as Hollywood as it could've been...

If that were true, they wouldn't have taken the time to add the details. They would have just pumped out a ton of shitty looking lots and gone with the quantity over quality mentality.

Is it weird that I could care less about having an actual car, but just having a realistic, suburban looking garage door in the game would make me so happy? My computer can't run cc, so I'm stuck with whatever the expansions give me xD I imagine the cars would work like the sims 2, except only if you're traveling out of your little neighborhood
They add more depth to the game play.

With the way the traveling system works in sims 4, they'd just be rabbit holes that don't do anything more than what the phones currently do. click phone, select travel, you are now at a different lot. there's no travel time. you wouldn't see your sims driving them, or interacting with them at all, they'd just sit there doing nothing.

Well I want cars because I am tired of my sims leaving a club or some other place and walking or running two or more blocks sometimes before vanishing and the loading screen pops up! I mean its like as if they are walking several miles to get to the place and then get home! It would be better for making videos if they walked out of a clubs or cafe or something, and got into a car and then drove off those two blocks before vanishing in the car, so I can imagine that they are actually driving a car home, instead of walking or running home! Which if was real it would take them several hours to do when visiting another town or city!

Reason for all the cars ; The pack is based off of Los Angeles. Public transport infrastructure is SEVERELY lacking . As a result the mass majority of its millions of residents rely on personal transportation (namely cars) . But I understand you’re point bro, it is a bit of a tease.

They've put so much detail in the entire expansion not just looks but I love everything about it. Pity the doctor has ordered me not to sit for too long. I'll buy it one day soon hopefully.

I hope a review from LGR comes out for this pack. His word is the only one i trust to buy a Sims pack. he doesn't sugar coat how bad the game is because he hasn't been bought by EA to say nice things about shit games.
Lucky he's not an EA Game Changer. You can't trust these people. They are literally PAID to review their stuff positively. How are they paid? With free trips all expenses paid many times a year, free games, free stuff, etc.

In another video I saw another famous Sims 2 Sim, Dustin Broke, he's an adult, he seen wearing a green t-shirt and he's fat,lol! I think he is supposed to be a celebrity too!
But since they don't have many lots he is obviously not living there, so he's just like a townie or something! But you can always grab him by cheating with Testingcheats True, add to family,lol!
I already made him with his family though and have been playing them for a few weeks off and on, lol!!
The Broke's was one of my favorite families from Sims 2! Though I liked the Dreamers too, they had Darren by himself in Sims 3, as a young adult, just dating his wife, who was dead in the Sims 2, and Dirk of course hasn't been born! He comes in the Lucky Palms world which you can only get through the store!
I found it weird that they made him and others adults, when they made Mortimer Goth a child, when he was a old man in the Sims 2,lol! Sure unlike the Sims 4 all the worlds were apart, unless you had them move, and then they would lose all their friends from their old town!
There really are a lot of great things to love about the Sims 4, and having all the worlds/towns together as one world is one of them! Among many other things, things that the Sims 3 does not have!
The fame level reminds me of urbz sims in the city for gamecube. Like if you know what I'm even talking about lol.

what i would like to know is, why the lack of lots in this world? I'm sorry to compare, but the words in the previous Sims games were wayyy bigger and had wayyyy more lots than the Sims 4 ones do. Obviously a lot is different, but why only 11 lots in this new city which is supposed to be like Los Angeles, one of the biggest, most well-known cities in the world? Also pretty bummed there are no apartments, although I understand that they didn't put that in because of City Living. I am just so disappointed in the complete lack of lots, as usual it seems it was rushed and included minimal effort in the world, which had potential to be one of the more exciting, fun worlds for the game. I just do not understand why the expansions are so small compared to previous sims games? I mean...11 lots.....Anyway, it still looks good so of course I'll buy it since I've been buying everything for years why stop now right? Lol

I think the sim store keeps it simple to make sure it works on every ones system not just powerful ones, also so people feel they need to make it better.

My college was actually built over a river. And yeah, there are issues such as the third floor (the lowest floor, it was weird) flooding when there was a lot of rain

I feel like the reason they add so few lots is that you can travel between worlds, unlike in the previous sims games. They're probably counting on you spreading all your lots out between worlds. If we were locked to one world they'd probably give us more. It is a huge bummer though, especially since other worlds have more lots and LA is huge.

Of all the videos others have made that I have watched, your the only one who mentions the driveways they have built into the game! They made them like real too, where it slants a bit as it goes to the street!
I have no doubt that they are working on cars, its just taking them awhile to do them that's all, heck they will probably give us boats too and swimming in lakes and oceans, at least I hope so,lol!
I guess that something the way the Sims 4 game is done is making it harder for them to do certain things, so it takes them longer! Like with making our own ponds and lakes with a water tool!

The option to stay on the lot is really cool!
This is the first Sims 4 expansion that I am unbelievably excited about. This is what I wished the movie star career was like in Sims 3. It's literally everything I could want for an expansion like this. He is right that the lack of buildable lots is a bit of a bummer. I doubt they'll add more just because people complain, though.
Im kinda nervous for terain tools because I struggled so much in sims 3 and all I did was completely flatten every lot. I know I don't have to use it, but when you were talking about how you hoped they would add lots that had different terrain levels, noooo...
I well remember the hype of pre-release Trailers for TS4, showing our Sims hopping into their cars, and pulling out of driveways on their journeys. Can it be that EA will finally implement that feature?

Honestly, I think they're going to put cars in at some point. I wasn't really sure until at 17:00 they have a car symbol to get on the freeway (I assume like the travel feature). Since car models aren't even in buydebug they seriously have to be working on cars. They would be dumb not to.

waoh the new city overview looks so bad. Almost looks like a mobile game. No shadows, no textures, just pretty bad green mountains, comic skyscrapers. What happened to sims?

It's been a while since I last played, have they added curved stairs and spiral stairs yet?
I love building old style homes and converted ruins. Spiral and curved stairs really help for stone towers, grand ballrooms and narrow Victorian hallways etc.
