Btw fun fact: 9:16 in Polish version, its said "niebezpieczna duma, lepiej to zaku.... maj", which translates to "dangerous pride, better understand it" Funny part is that "zakumaj" (understand) is also a sound FROGS make in polish: "kum kum" or "zakumaj" - "make frog noises" so they played with the fact that the Troll is being eaten by a frog :D
I consider the quality of the different translations to be largely determined by whether or not they seemed to have put in something similar to Gurubashi-bash-ya.
This change was made because Stranglethorn in brazilian portuguese is "Selva do Espinhaço", and put "Aqui na Selva do Espinhaço" in the same space of "Here in Stranglethorn" is just a little bit difficult.
Polish frog still makes a croak pun, but it's not actual croak. It's difficult to explain, but basically he finishes warrior's line who just "croaked".
Wow, the Japanese one was so awkward sounding. The syllables really didn't fit well. And god, the sound the giant frog made in the Russian version killed me! My favourites, aside from English, are French, Thai, and Korean.
The problem with the Nordic countries is that everyone speaks English so Blizzard doesn't need to make any local versions. I understand 5 languages (Swedish, English, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish - sorry, no Islandic) and there's only a version in one of them...
@@robinisomaa Actually, that is in a way, a paradox. While it is true, most speak perfectly good english in the nordic countries, this is very much because of the exposure to english movies, TV, games, etc, without using a localised dub. This is much due to the nordic languages to be very small, compared to other languages, like italian, spanish or german, so dubbing into nordic languages is not cost-effective. Take a look at the typical person in these larger countries, and the english-level is much lower, compared to us. this is due to them dubbing everything, due to having much more speakers of the respective languages, making dubbing much more cost-effective. We speak very good english, because there is little to no dub, and not the other way around :) Sorry for the long post, but i am procrastinating my exam-writing. I really don't want to write this :(
Cool song. Very nice in many languages. I'm Polish so of course I liked the song in my native language but Spanish and German version of the song were very well done and pleasant.* * Relatively of course... I know you don't put "German" and "pleasant" in one sentence, is wrong on so many levels.

Polish is so good because we have an astounding amount of colloquialisms for getting beat up/beating someone up.
I consider the quality of the different translations to be largely determined by whether or not they seemed to have put in something similar to Gurubashi-bash-ya.
Same but I was more focused on “be warned my Loa’s gonna trash ya”
Love English , Russian version and polish. Polish second voice is amazing strong
The brazillian version they changed the music a bit. Instead of saying in Strangethorn, they say Hail Rastakhan.

All versions are great! No doubt!

The spanish version show here is actually from latam. There is another version for spain.
I just think it's funny, that the frog gets dubbed as well ^^
The German version is completely different from the English one. It's insane.
Not complet but much different
German version sounds cringe 😅
I really like the french and polish trolls!
Ty, i'm french
Polish Trolls likes you too :)
namoral mesmo "SALVE RASTAKHAN" ficou infinitamente melhor que "Here in Stranglethorn"
everyone forgets the frogs >:v
1.-Italian frog
2.-standar frog
3.-Russian frog
4.-Polish frog
jajaja i really laugh with italian frog xDDD
I actually wonder why all the other translators left the English word "croak" in.
@@PRHMro well less work(?)
@@PanzaLarga97 Yeah, they went through all the trouble translating and dubbing the song, but apparently one short "croak" was too much for them.
I assume that since "croak" is a pun, it wouldn't translate well into the other languages, so they just left it as it was.

which is really sad cause i thought the vocalists in the japanese version were amazing, but the syllables killed it
I thought it was pretty good but I’m in no way good with language stuff I was just thinking “voice sound good. Me no understand word but I like sound”

i guess the guy who performed the first part of the japanese version didn't know it was a _song_
Blame the translation not the singer
Russian has "once for decade" instead of "once a generation".

Now I just wanna make the lyrics for my language because sadly, it is not included...
What's your language ?
I feel the sama way
Im the only one disapointed because the giant toad said "croak" and not "gero" in the japanese version?
To be honest japan has great voice actors and actresses... just don't know why they being worse with blizzard...
the voice acting in the japanese version is like really good though, just the number of syllables doesnt really work out a lot of the time.

English and Russ - "to bast fo me". Bot my favorite Gurubash - from Thai.
Every other language: Croak
Italian: Crowwww
That's cuz the troll says "Consacra" but the frog ends the Word, Consacra means consecrate
Not really. Half of them use original “croak” and others use their own version. Not sure about all, but in Russian they even kept wordplay.
The Russian language fitts so well with the troll theme it's insane
