Watching this episode reminded me of one of the reasons why I loved this show as a kid: most of the "secret slime actions" are complete bull. I died laughing when I saw "having an orangutan bring you clues."
The very _booking_ of Steven Burns on _Figure it Out_ as a panel member was brilliant. He was one of the few celebrity guests other than Lori Beth Denberg who played the game straight and didn't try to ham it up.
When the show first aired, the judges would still give the panelist the word as long as they at least guessed a synonym. Unfortunately for Steve, that rule was changed very early on. I feel bad for him because he did basically win, but it can't be helped 🤷♂️
By this point, the show's judges could only accept answers from panelists that were *exactly as written* on the board. This was a rule patch from the first season, where the judges were more lenient in accepting synonyms for words on the board. In the first episode to be recorded, the second guest's talent was "Burps a Christmas Song" (he belched _Jingle Bells,_ by the way.) Lori Beth Denberg asked "Do you burp a Christmas...carol?", which the judges took.
The judges were strict in later seasons, to the point where only the exact words of whatever it was the participant did/ invented could be taken as right answers. In the first recorded episode, the second contestant's talent was "Burps A Christmas Song." Lori Beth Denberg guessed "Burps A Christmas *Carol."* This response was accepted by the judges. Later seasons patched this, possibly to protect the game's integrity.
Of all of Billy the Answer Head's animal friends, my favorite was Billy the Aaaaaaaaanswer Goat, especially because of the way Summer always said "Aaaaaaaaanswer", lol!
Haha, yes, Summer enjoyed her job, and that's part of what made the show so great! I so badly want to own the original "Billy the Answer Head" prop! I REALLY hope they didn't just destroy it... 😖
Panels Final Guesses 21:38 Mark: Invented an apparatus for collecting dog collars Shane: Invented a Machine for collecting dog hair Arjay: Invented a Camera for collecting dog pictures Steve: Invented a Backpack for collecting dog poo
22:40 Summer: I’m sorry, we don’t say that word. We say, “waste.” Me: What Summer means is, depending on the tv show or places in public, saying “poop” is inappropriate, so they called it “waste.”
This was before there were trash cans out in public for dog waste. Though I think it's kinda cruel to weigh the dog down with its own, or other dog's, waste.
Steve was so close! other than Florida Marlins Muscle blank and Find Homes for blank Racing Greyhounds, that is as close to a near miss as you can get! too bad they didn't get backpack sooner! Arjay, were you not listening??? how does a camera help clean up after a dog???
Yeah. Danny said "Man" and got buzzed only to immediately after say "Boy" and Summer to say "Oh! No that doesn't count!". With the other one, the answer was "Retired" and Travis said "Legless" (joke answer); Amanda said "Gray" (also a joke answer); Danny said "Veteran" and Lori Beth said "Elderly". * Danny came close another time too. When it was "Pulls Belly Button Out of blank" ("Body"), he came the closest with "Socket". * There were other close calls too. Those are the ones that stand out most to me at this moment.

A man who never breaks out of character. Well done Steve.
@@aidenmarple6437 Ah, Steve, still on Blue's Clues, aren't you?

His mind is still in Blue's Clues taping set😂 (I love it!)
He even said “a clue?” exactly like how he said it on the show😂
Oh, poor Steve got slimed big time. He came so close to getting it too!
Steve got slimed big time because it happened twice. That makes him the most messiest panelist.
Watching this episode reminded me of one of the reasons why I loved this show as a kid: most of the "secret slime actions" are complete bull. I died laughing when I saw "having an orangutan bring you clues."
But he only brought the clue to Steve though, why slime all 4 of them?
At 3:58, when Summer mentioned the word "clue" Steve reacted pretty much the same way he would react on the show "Blue's Clues"
+chrispleasantable Yeah Hahahahaha that was pretty funny the way he express it & said it!
Yeah! That was sho' nuff funny!
chrispleasantable Just Like On Blue's Clues!

Man they should’ve said backpack before. For example:
“Does it have something to do with a backpack?“
They should have given it to him
4:00 Steve got ptsd when they said “a clue!”
Jawad, you couldn't possibly be more clueless oh my god 😂
I goes why let a special ed student on the show
I was about to ask why Steve didn't get slimed a second time. And then something more glorious happened. Excellent!

Nope, Steve guessed it right, shouldn't matter that he said poo instead of waste
Doesn't matter what word they choose. The word they only want is "Waste".

Summer said that you don’t say the word poo, because it’s inappropriate.
When the show first aired, the judges would still give the panelist the word as long as they at least guessed a synonym. Unfortunately for Steve, that rule was changed very early on.
