At my brother's funeral this song was played as it was one of his favorite songs. I play this at least once a week to feel a little bit closer to him. 🖤
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s lovely that this song comforts & brings u 2 closer. This song consoled me after my eldest bro was critically injured by a drunk driver. Bill sustained a TBI, confined to a w/c for his remaining 5 yrs. When I hear it, I think of him. 🥰
I'm 24, class of 2016. In fifth grade one of most favorite teachers played this song for the class, it always reminds me of him. Unfortunately, he died of a rare disease in 2017. It's crazy how such a simple song can transport you back in time. Thanks Mr. Reid.

My mom passed March 8 and I cry and tell her to come take to me. This song came on radio, song started synchronicity with the green light and the chorus of the song explained to me why my mom wouldn't come to talk to me. I burst into tears your lyrics help me and makes me grieve for my mother. God Bless Thank you
The last time I listened to this song was around 2007. After sorting through my old playlists I stumbled upon this song again, and the part where the chorus goes, "They will see us waving from such great heights, come down now they'll say. But everything looks perfect from far away come down now but we'll stay" hit me hard. The last 14 years have been quite rough for me and my family financially after we lost our life savings to a fraudulent investment. Our relatives that we have helped in the past countless times when we were well-off have abandoned us in our time of greatest need, and it has been a long, hard and bitter learning process for us. Now, after an almighty struggle to recover from it, we are now financially successful more than ever. Those same people who have left us for dead are now trying to get back on our good graces. I am not angry at them but we chose not to connect with my relatives again, and the chorus perfectly describes what I feel about this situation.

I've been obsessed with this song since it came out when I was like in my twenties but I hadn't heard it in years. Finding it again at 33 years old I still know every word and I'll probably listen to it every day! Yeah!!!!

God... I forgot that this was the first non-mainstream group I had ever gotten into. Late bloomer, I was around 15. I used to listen to this and feel crazy badass cause they were sooo indie. And then whenever I met people who also knew the postal service, I'd give a knowing nod. They knew. They knew that I knew, that we are both soooo indie. Too bad I didn't realize these guys were brilliant and it had nothing to do with being 'indie.' It wasn't until I got my head out of my ass and listened to Deathcab. Wonder what it'll be like when I find out they're basically the same group?

Listening this to with earphones is really cool, in the beginning the beeping sound that everyone loves goes back and forth, beeping in one ear and then the other and then back again
Perfectly produced song. The sound flows incredibly.. And the nonchalant, slightly trippy vocals go perfect with the nostalgic, fairly giddy, inquisitive beat. Great song. Haven't heard it in a while.
I really really like this song. I said to myself (someone who's written songs) "This is a hit!" The chords go perfectly with the cascading melody which smoothly octaves up to the beginning of the next verse. And the bridge is pretty and complimentary. And I like the words . . . images of someone's personal vision. What a love song!
