Chromatic Chemistry: the Periodic Table in Light and Sound
Вставка

- What do the elements of the periodic table SOUND like? While it may seem like an absurd question, it is actually possible to convert the visible spectra of elements into sounds! When stimulated by electricity or heat, elements release distinct wavelengths of light depending on their electron energy levels-a sort of “chemical footprint” unique to every element. These frequencies of light, which we perceive as different colors, can be mapped to different sonic frequencies, allowing us to hear the different sounds of chemical elements. I've converted those frequencies into sounds, and appear as the character "Roy G. Biv" to present a fun and educational performance that combines the magic of chemistry with music. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some chemical chords, molecular melodies, and galvanized grooves accompanied by some fantastic visuals designed by myself and fellow Indiana University Chemistry student Harry Zhang.

I came here after listening to Terrance howard in joe rogan
same, it was so interesting dividing light into sound
Yup, and honestly, at the 2hr and 6 min part of that interview, Howard explained what God meant by “be fruitful and multiply.” He really was cracking the code of how God framed our world. Music, light, elements etc. all fascinating stuff. God didn’t design anything with straight lines, just a little curve and His signature
lol same
I’m right behind you….
We really are all just living the same life huh
I’m so happy Terrance Howard got people watching children’s videos on chemistry! Gotta start somewhere
This video is so underrated...it's great. It should be a part of the science curriculum, choir, and band class in all countries....
Is this what terrance howard was talking about
Yep.
Amazing!
Doing something similar. Convert nm to hz, round to nearest approximate note in 12 tone equal temperament. Get the coulomb frequency for each element, convert to 1s or 10ths place. You can get neat poly rythems. The notes are allowed to be revoiced. Each element is it's own sound. Using 60 hz base bpm. Chat gpt make the conversion process much easier! 😂
Long story short, your conversation scheme is different, but neat! 👏
Microtonal snobs be like: _"Hold my Zeeman Effect."_
Just beautiful. Fantastic!❤
At 11.15 the way the colour transitions to a lighter shade and the tone heightened is exactly like some of my dmt trips
Pretty cool stuff.
I KNEW this video would not be serious.
You are awesome! Wow!
Awesome! Do you have a list of the element's frequencies?
following!
I’ve been to helium dance parties, they’re full of quite light entertainment, with plenty of balloons, and everyone isn’t dense. They’re such a gas.
Eye like ur puns
I've been looking for you for over a decade and didn't even know it have this discussion with a music Major that looked at me like I was crazy
Nice video!
you aew a true hero
6:42 was a very great question hearing the specific sound of water..and what if this research gets combined with the research of Masaru Emoto..like it would be interesting to hear the exact frequencies of the water from the Hunza Valley or water from the Angel Falls in Venezuela
Sounded like when you go under water
@@Iloveswinging nice joke..but the exact notes of it can be a way to tune the water we drink. Hunza Valley has one of the healthiest mineral waters in the world..the water absorbs the information of sound and not all water has the same information..this is for health nerds lol
Each pill we take has a music not toatch it's vibration when you take plant medicine it vibrates like a key on a piano and I think it matches with the part of are body that is sick, and makes it better
Are the colors you are using the exact spectral colors or ballpark red, etc. ?
I want to hear what WAP sounds like
Seven months, SEVEN!
I want to hear each element
And that friends is how tech no music was born.😂
How far did he have to relatively shift the frequencies of light to bring them into the audible spectrum? It reminds me of the these wonderful photos of galaxies with colourful gas clouds, they don't look like that to the visible eye, they are radio and microwaves, relatively shifted into the visible spectrum to allow them to be seen by the human eye.
Saw this vid on logarithm maybe?
It was really inside a vid about the Ph level scale
Definitely stuff I want to know where for all intents and purposes one thing is turned into another
I dunno the math rules of that stuff but I appreciate it
The matter of rule over the meter does need as much dark as light in times like these however...
Thanks🤎💜🩵💚💛
A very beautiful example of how everything the Most High Created has its own song. (Frequency and Vibration)'
Now how do you think God hears you? Whats your song?
What instrument was use to create these sounds
All I saw was a colourful xylophone 🌈
Holy synesthesia Batman!
No helium parties here, just nitrous oxide.😂😂😂😂
No more lab videos😔?
Is it just me who felt the need to hear hydrogen over and over?
the licc
I want to hear calcium
9:38 wide Putin enters the party
This music is better than trap
needs more cowbell
😂😂👏👏👏🙏🌈😇I KNEW IT... I'VE BEEN ON A HUNT FOR ONE🙏🙏🙏✝️👁️🤭😘👍🙏
An app be nice
i know how long
needs a white scarf
terrance howard might be jesus or krisna come anew
Like seriously. You're kinda right
aw but they dont share electrons. electrons are the lie
loose of time
The most TEDx oversimplified infantilized garbage I’ve ever heard. Thanks for showing us the entire table, mr incorrect rainbow suit guy.
