As a 2000 NB Miata owner, literally all of this is 100% true, even the parts that sound like satire. 100% true.
As someone who REALLY wants to drive an NB Miata, can you tell me how it feels in the driver seat? Are they really only built to be comfortable to shorter people?
I'm 6' and the better part of 300lbs (thanks quarantine) and it feels great to be in the driver's seat. There are some aftermarket seats you can install if you're taller, but if you're 6'4" or taller you'll have to wear goggles to protect your eyes from bugs. Car fits me like a glove. NC and ND feel too tight for my liking.
Everything Mr. Regular said is true. Great fun. You end up drinking the juice and joining a cult of low horsepower, cornering speed and fun.
As James May famously said, "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slowly."

I have a 2000 NB as well. As soon as he talked about NB owners getting a Seiko 5 and driving gloves, my face turned red because I was wearing my Seiko 5 as he said it

He's not wrong. The design process of the original MX5 was someone getting a Lotus Elan and saying 'basically, build a modern day version of this'

I wound up owning a Miata (I'm now on my second one, btw - both NA's) in part because as a young adult I wanted an MGB.

Where I live aside from the ND this is the only Miata we have and it's very rare and 15k KM at the least (Bosnia btw).
I have so far seen 1 NA, then NBs and NDs are equally popular, and there's the slightly more obscure NC (probably because registration costs more because of the huge 1.8 engine). Slovenia. I'm hoping to buy one within the next year or two. NBs start at around 3000€.
After waking up from a poorly slept night with a little bit of depression, the "MY MIATA IS BEST MIATA" bit made me smile whislt being really sad. Thank you RCR guys.

"They are the same people" - I agree, last year I was shopping for an NC. In my looking I saw a high mileage C6 which was cheaper and in better shape than most NCs I was looking at. So I bought it. Would have been happy in the NC, am also happy to be in the C6.

I don't get it. 1) it was washed a few days before, but 2) the detail job and paint seal/correction from a year ago has held up well. The damage to the front bumper is simply that, damage. The Boomer that owned it before me didn't leave a straight panel on this thing.
Andrew Humphrey it’s truly insane how poorly people can treat some cars.
I pulled out the really bad dents in some spots but there’s a few that would need paint work I’ve left alone. My biggest thing is that it’s rust free which is impossible to find here in Ohio.
As a NB owner, this was.....perfect.

You guys picked the right roads to test this masterpiece. I've driven my fair share of v8s, v6s, and i4s and this, *this* is the most fun car i've ever driven. No one will understand unless they drive one. Everything on this car just awakens that inner joy in yourself that had been shadowed by boring commutes.
And yes, it IS indeed the best answer.

I’m very happy my msm is a complete rust free car i had to go to va to get I’m from nj and a couple months before I bought it it was living in Texas in a garage most of its life
@@thunderroy24 Since I'm getting rid of rust on my two NBs this year... Two-layer NB frame rails can go to hell! Other than that, it's about the same, except I actually see NBs being driven, thus accumulating rust. NAs are mostly garage kept / cambered at meets. So you could say NB is the rustier generation. :D

I've had a NA and a NC, friend had a NB. All amazing cars. I miss having one, every shift made me smile and every chore became an adventure with my best friend.
