+Foh Realsies I mean, look at these guys. They look like they are pretty much done. You can see it in their faces. Shows like that are very exhausting. Seriously, you cant expect them to hit every single note at this point.
And its amazing to see that everyone's having a blast. These are the moments we live for.
+Foh Realsies Apparently since mainstream music has back tracks that sing for them it's now expected that every note is hit perfectly. People often forget just how exhausting jumping around and screaming/singing is. I'd rather listen to someone botch some notes but know they are actually performing their own music then watch someone just dance to their own song while the CD sings for them.
This band gives me hope for hardcore. I remember seeing them at a local festival, and i talked with shad for about an hour after the show, took pictures, got autographs, etc. Later that day, comeback kid was playing and they all went and watched and did exactly what we were doing at their show just a few hours earlier. It just shows you, no matter who we are, no matter how big our band is, there is no better feeling than seeing your favourite band with a couple buddies and sharing that experience, because, we are all still hardcore kids at heart.
i know it doesnt sound great but honestly i love hearing bands in their rawest form. it really adds to the emotion and showmanship especially with a band already so emotional as BAAO

I'll agree that this isn't the best performance, but live they're honestly one of the best and most inspirational bands today and after seeing them live my love grew for them so much more because it's honestly just so raw and emotional. I honestly can't wait to see them again this summer.
i swear these guys give such a goosebumps every time you listen to their music but seeing them live is such an amazing experience. and the way Joel cooperate with crowd... its all love.
It's more the experience than the sound. These were the days. Saw them in San Fran in July 2013 and it was by far the most emotional experience I've ever had.

they always play their live stuff a half step up... i assume its because they play at a faster tempo

letthesignalsfade I doubt it's to do with tempo, that has little to do with pitch. I would imagine it's because some of their songs have the guitars in standard E tuning and some (like this) are probably in standard Eb tuning, but it's just easier to play everything in the same tuning live. However, I don't see why they wouldn't bring certain songs down, instead of bringing the other half up.

this is old man. they are not like this because this was before they had the current singer. the previous singer was awful like you just saw and Joel the screamer mainly just does his screaming vocals with some clean vocals in some songs

this isn't hardcore, hardcore almost never has "chugs", this is the epitome of metalcore, which is not a bad thing by any stretch, but it certainly is not hardcore.
This is closer to hardcore then metalcore.

an dem abend war ich selbst auf dem konzert und die band hat extrem gas gegeben und die tontechniker haben anscheinend fürchterlich gemischt (also monitoring) und deshalb kamen so schlechte cleans raus
