My dad owned a car....1964-1965. Joseph Fabrocini. His nephew George Circosta drove it. They won the 150 lap on July 3rd. I have a pic of them receiving the trophy if anyone is interested in seeing it. Car #11. It was blue.
I'm now 37 yrs old. I grew up going to riverside park my entire youth and was there for the last race weekend in October. I will say this, all you racers made my childhood. The demolition derbies, crazy figure 8s, school bus demolition derbies! Man, thank you guys! I will forever cherish those times. I was sad when 6 flags decided to get rid of the track. But am forever grateful for all the wild amazing times. ❤
The day Riverside Park closed was the day I vowed never to walk through the gates of Six flags New England again. 25 years later almost, and never have again and never will.
@@choossuck7653 i stopped because the track was the only thing I went to. Amusement parks do absolutely nothing for me. Plus, the new owners were absolute jerks to the fans of the speedway and I felt no desire to support them at all. What’s karmic and hilarious is the roller coaster they built on the speedway grounds has spent more time closed with issues than it has open. So much for making more money lol

I got to meet most of the drivers hanging around the Pitts back then. Driver Ted Chalmers would take me with him to help out with the car.
All thru the region there were guys with race cars in their home garages. Now there is none. This country has chit the bed
