He didn’t really answer the first question clearly and to the point. Very generic and high level answer.
“Automated manual processes” is not what expect to hear from a solution architect. What cloud services, or platforms did you use to automate a specific process and what challenges did you run into while designing a solution? Should be more specific.

I am expecting more of a technical discussion like he has to developer ceritain system for a client and what they did. Its not like what and how they convince a client. And detailing about we are this much SA and so and so. I am looking for right information at the spot. To much detailing its a time killing

Hi. I work for a global bank as an Associate Cloud Architect. My clients are the internal stakeholder (various business units/functions within our organization). We help them migrate their platforms and applications to Cloud . We help our clients with the migration and help them in architecting solutions using various services on public cloud. My role does not include things like dealing with sales. So I can say that I have zero experience on sales . So will I be still consider for any architect role which includes sales + technical acumen like discussed in the video above? I hold 10+ years of profession al experience BTW. Kindly suggest.

It all depends upon the requirement that a company is looking for. If you do not have experience in sales or pre-sales or people management, just let them know. However, show optimism by letting them know that given a chance you can work hard on the missing skills. Also, there is a very thin line of difference between Solutions Architect, Engineering Manager, etc. Companies these days value multi-skilled employees. If you are looking for Solutions Architect role, handling customer/stakeholders, handling team, handling project, systems design, etc. are some of the soft skills you need to be aware of or kind of develop these as secondary skills apart from the technical skills that you have.

Too much "problem" in this video, not enough "solution" for a solution architect advice video.
