Maybe the jungle temple was a place of burial for the horses? Some ancient people did have own distinct places for burying pets, and if these people were warriors they would want their steeds to pass on in honor Also Trail Ruins can spawn in jungles btw
I like the idea that the wandering trader(s) is the last of a once great mercantile guild that roved across a lavish country of wealth and opportunities before whatever cataclysmic event(s) wiped out the true human half of the population. A once great nation of trade no longer had any neighbors to trade with and fell into economic ruin.
still remember when this pyramid was the only way to get chiseled stone bricks i accept this theory lol, fits with the idea of you being a serial grave robber
I like these theories a lot! My only addition is that slime balls can also be acquired from pandas, albeit rarely, which are also found in jungles- so they needn't of necessarily encountered slimes to create the pistons if they raised pandas to some extent. Perhaps as part of a caravan, if the trader theory is true? I'll also note that the temple, although secluded in the jungle and hidden geographically, isn't truly "hidden-" although the materials used are rather rudimentary, it's actually a pretty decorated structure, especially the top, which has pillars of some kind; meaning the temples may have also served some sort of ceremonial purpose. If they were meant to be exclusively a crypt, I would imagine they would be more discreet and low to the ground, foregoing the decoration, like a Tumulus. Loved the vid! Keep it up! :)
Anyone else remember the time when chiseled stonebricks and mossy cobblestone couldn't be crafted, and jungle temples (and dungeons for mossy cobblestone) were the only places to get them from? Chiseled stonebricks were a really rare material back then because each jungle temple only had 3 of them.
I love it when youtube recommends me videos of small Minecraft channels. As a small Minecraft channel myself, I know how good it feels to support this. Awesome video btw, I always wanted to see a video about Jungle Temples!
I would also like to add that I don’t think they were experienced with enchanting if they only had books in the chests. My theory is that they found these books and just went like “what a cool mysterious book, let’s keep it in case we find out what exactly it is since it looks magical”
Great video, but there is one mistake, trail ruins spawns in jungle biom, too. However, I believe that trail ruins may be much older than jungle temples.
love minecraft theory videos like this that don't make everything into a fucking creepypasta. your video style is so refreshing. also, it makes sense for them to be called pyramids because jungle temples, like pyramids, are in theory burial grounds for rich merchants.
I think the jungle Temples where planes were important people were buried and I don't think the people themselves were fully nomadic give the fact we also find Trail ruins in the jungle too
Alright here’s my idea: What if the Temples are actually fortresses/outposts? Look at the sides near the top, there’s windows/holes which could be perfect for archery. And it’s shown that they have knowledge of arrows, and by extension bows (the string on the ground shows that they have string to make them). Awesome video by the way! It would be cool if you did a video about the Legacy Console Tutorial worlds, I feel like there might be a story there.
when this structures where build, the jungles might not even have been jungles - at least not in this size. in our own world there are more and more theories and evidences who suggest, the american continents where very different back then before Columbus. only after so many of the native inhabitants died due to wars, diseases and colonisation in general, woods might have been able to spread across the continents - until later waves of settlers came a few centuries later, finding mostly dense woodlands. but today archaeologists seem to find more and more evidence that even the amazonian rain forests where less dense some few hundred years ago with lots of artificial created open space for villages and farmland.

Saw this on my feed. Small channel so didn’t expect too much but honestly a very good video 👍💯👑
Glad you enjoyed!
What if the jungle took over a biome were horses once roamed?
Interesting theory!

Wow thanks for sharing. I never even thought of any of that!
I tend to agree with this line of thinking too, it adds to the mysterious, magical “otherworldliness” minecraft has…

Bro deserves more subs for all bros effort
Keep it up man! What an awesome video I wish you the best in making content!
I never gave the temples much thought and this honestly is a great theory that explains it pretty well.
Awesome work man, keep it up! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome video i have just subscribe to your channel ❤
Nice video!!! Greetings from Chile
Notch build it.
Oh you mean lore wise. I like to think it was made by a group separate from the Dessert Temple. Like a secret rival group.

If you want information on the official canon lore, I suggest doing research on the spin-off games (not Story Mode).
great video!
Awesome vid, great quality for such a small channel
hidden gem of a video! glad it came across my feed.

Good video but why to you use the old texture pack
The aliens built it!
He knows to much!
why did the beats have to go so hard?
it was me.
I built it
I think they were prisoners of war sacrificed to old gods
I clicked on this expecting there to be a mystery about the developer who designed the temple. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I like how he uses the old textures, he just like me fr
