I love how everything the president is describing is pretty crazy but we're already desensitized to it 😂
Honestly I was just slowly nodding my head while intently listening. after Naruto nothing seems crazy on this show anymore
Huh? Oh, you're talking about the CARTOON and not the ex-president... right.
Edit: Only vote for the science supporting party (non-bleach based). Break the cycle Morty, focus on science.

I like that she is the only one that does not fall for rick's bs
That's why he keeps going back. He can't outwit or disturb her. That basically makes her a friend in his world
@@tonybrewer7536 most definitely
@@tonybrewer7536tbf he probably can if he actually did try hard, but dude is lazy, and getting therapy is honestly less effort than getting out of it, so at one point might aswell come back, especially when its not entirely unproductive
“Getting therapy is probably less effort than getting out of it” dude he literally made himself a hologram in place for his real self. How is that lazy? Along with actually physically being there. Rick clearly likes this woman as his therapist, even if his ego is too big to admit it. Rick is literally putting in effort to be there and even technologically rig her office without her knowledge lol.
@@wizdomofmark i think the hologram is used to imply that he would rather build such an advance system than get help with his issues and besides maybe he already made the hologram a long time ago or the hologram is as easy to make as it is me or you to put 2 lego pieces together but i dont think he likes the therapist that much but is instead slowly warming up to her and respecting her more and more making him like her
Obviously, Britta is the only one good enough to give therapy to rick.
Until she Britta-d it up. Such a 3 statement to make.
Urgh Brittas in this?
Therapied! Shrunk!
She lived in New York
Nah, therapy is very overrated.
Rick is like a child with Wong , denies therapy has any purpose , yet he keeps going to see her and is protective
you mean he is like Lucifer, from the series, without him banging her I mean.
Rick likes people who aren't shaken by his personality. Wong has proven herself pretty unflappable
He doesnt deny it. After pissmaster episode he actually realized that what she says works. He has some respect towards her now and is pretty enthusiastic about therapy.
She's smart and competent in her field and Rick is too smart to not know that as well as the fact that he has obvious issues.
I wouldn't say kid I think she grew on him cause she helped the family
Rick voluntarily went to therapy, defended Wong, and apologized for making fun of someone’s beliefs. This is almost TOO much character development for one clip, but I love it.
must be a robot again
I wouldn’t apologize for making fun of a Scientologist though, lol.
Even though therapy is a scam
Character growth is NOT the same as character development. Y'all learned this terminology and ran it to the ground
@@shallchairsitfallen LOL
I like that Rick doesn't even pretend like someone is forcing him to do therapy, he's owning it. He went from directly saying "I don't believe in therapy, I'm a scientist" to calling such a belief ridiculous.
Calling science a ridiculous belief or calling Scientology one?
Not sure I understood your comment
@@CouchLock He's talking about the belief that therapy doesn't work. The scientologist guy pretty explicitly says, "I don't believe in therapy."
To be fair unfortunately letting scientologist be a scientologist is probably the best course. That's like trying to convince a zealot. Not Rick's job and not worth his time.
@@Retrolian1000I think Rick said that same exact thing as a pickle

Oddly enough it makes sense the president likes Wong. He loves having power, and she has the power to influence Rick.

I love how the conversation suddenly change from Nessie to dating Dr Wong.
So I guess she got divorced from mr Wong ? Hopefully it’s explained more
Suddenly? 😂
Brother. Watch the scene with jerry as a beekeeper and summers friend.
Everyone saw that a mile away but you.😂😂
Tbf is smash too though
Wong is one of those characters that’s better when you don’t hype her up. I hope they don’t overuse cuz the little screen time she has is always good.
Its like having a piece of candy you like. You eat it too much and you get sick of it. Once in a while is a nice treat
She may well be the best depiction of an actually competent psychotherapist of any TV show to date.
Most dramas have wildly incompetent or outright insane therapists and it gives them a bad name; Wong is a breath of fresh air in comparison.
Examples: Evelyn Vogel and Michelle Ross in Dexter, Isaac Roa in HTGAWM, Dr. Champ in Bojack Horseman
@@shinyespeon3995 Hey, he's not a therapist, he's a THERAPY HORSE! ;)
I feel like this could also apply to the president. It's always fun when he shows up but I like the novelty of it too :)
I’m telling y’all, Dr. Wong ain’t your typical side character.
Yeah, I didn't care for Wong at first but I have warmed up to the character in her following appearances. It helps that her dynamic with Rick is entertaining.

He did say it. In the first episode where they go for a therapy session.
@@blackfalcon285 He said he didn't respect therapy, and he didn't need it, not that he didn't believe in it.

@@jasondrake323 Yeah, like with Time Travel. It's real. He just doesn't respect it.
I'm looking forward to this episode now. It seems like Rick's opinions on therapy has changed a lot and he's actively dealing with his issues. His character development throughout the show is very interesting to watch.
Also, the President is attracted to Wong which is kinda unexpected but ok. It will be entertaining to see Rick caught in the middle of that lol.
Why are there no comments lol
Makes me wonder if they have this black president attracted to wong because our other black president was attracted to wang. Art imitating life.
@@Blackdog222I don't get it.
It's Rick acting like a kid telling his mom's friend not to date her for me ☠️
I don't think RIck is the type of person that deals with his own issues.
Rick ACTUALLY going to therapy and defending it is such a nice development.
Juxtaposing, indeed. Flashback to an ephemeral, earlier episode whereby Jaguar saves Rick from imminent, abrupt doom as to repay the favor and settle his "debt;" - and Rick responds to Morty's inquiry by essentially saying that therapy is utterly useless and ironically counterintuitive.
@@adam28-bv8qfbros got a degree in yappology

I kinda like how the hologram was only because he went behind the couch, not that he was ditching therapy again. Rick and Morty, always subverting those expectations

wth?
Space Mormon 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Best description for a Scientologist if I ever heard of one
Truly the best description
why
Yeah, that was great but the funny part is Mormons believe you can reach a state of Godhood eventually and then you get your own planet to run.
Why? Because South Park did a scathing episode about each? The two ideologies have almost nothing in common. The joke could have been space-catholic or space-muslim or space-hindu and it wouldn't make a difference.

@@susimposter9286 Not only is Rick C137 special amongst Ricks for his conflict with the Citadel, having to change worlds as a direct result the Citadel blowing up has to differentiate him from this world’s Rick a little even if they have the same shrink & president. Dude, if no one told me the voice actor was changed, I would honestly struggle to notice. People need to calm down.
I can notice a difference, but I find it as though it's negligible. We will adapt. Rick sounded differently in the pilot back in the premieres of the series; just as always, adhere to the proverbial adage, "This too shall pass;" likewise will people's berating cease thus.
it’s like glaringly obvious. this dude sounds like a discord admin doing an impression of rick. it’s not an awful impression, but he’s far from justin roiland, maybe a lack of experience in the profession.
It's not that, most are hostile Roiland fans which have a thing for him
Rick character development is crazy and feels super earned over the years. I love the President so cool we finally got his name and possibly he’ll start dating another great character Dr Wong. Also I now am so used to the new voice I can’t tell the difference anymore.
I wish I could say the same for Morty
And not a caceratcure of Obama. He’s his own presidential characters that happpens to be black
Can y'all stop saying character development when you mean character growth lol
Rick's new voice actor definitely is improving with each episode.
I kinda miss the belching Rick used to do in the early seasons, but I guess it kinda fits the character development
I love how Rick is the only one who doesn't move at all in the helicopter. It's like even the forces of the universe can't impact him like they do others.
Rick can try all he can to act tough but we both know he has a soft side for the President. They have been on several adventures together and he's sort of a friend to Rick. Although i'm sure he rather get rid of all human connection
THey may be friends dude's coming THIS CLOSE to shattering the bro code you don't date a bros tsunerdere cru- I mean shrink

They used to date
I love how Rick is like "what do you mean you dont believe in therapy?!" When a few seasons ago he believed wholeheartedly that therapy was a waste of time. Character Development!
That doesn't really mean much. Rick said he didn't respect it and he didn't need it., not that he didn't believe in it, like how some people just don't believe in climate change. The prospect of just "not believing in it" would probably sound silly to Season 3 Rick as well.
keith david is the best part of this show
"keith david is the best" That's all you had to say.
Ian Cardoni was pretty indistinguishable for a few lines at the beginning there. I'm impressed. He's getting good.
I love how Rick has continued the therapy. This is looking to be a good episode.
I was halfway through the clip before I remembered they replaced Roiland
The only thing he's omitted is the burping. But to be honest, the burp used to annoy me.
@@Boooozlei only just remembered reading this comment, and when the first episode came out i thought i could never look past it lol, that was fast.
His expressive excited and angry voice is definitely off. If anything this season will easily be the closest considering they already had all of Roiland’s dialogue. All the VA’s had to do was try to perfectly mime over his performance. Season 8 and beyond will truly be the characters on their own and I want to see how they’ll do then
i kinda forgot rick had a new voice actor in this clip, its not bad at all
Sometimes I notice it and other times it’s the first thing I notice. It’s all in the expression. In scenes where they speak “normally” I don’t notice it but scenes where they are screaming or yelling, I definitely notice it.
idk i can pretty easily tell with the more intense lines. even the passive lines have lost that grainy feeling

It is very different. Softer and with less arrogance. Its close but I can definitely tell.

I think its cool that Rick is doing therapy and is learning to respect people more, even though that other guy was a scientologist.
It's not because of that it's because of her

This is pure genius. I dont know how they keep doing it, but they are. They really are.
Dr. Wong is easily one of the best side characters
Dr. Wong doesn’t get paid enough and I demand respect for her.
Rick is just doing all the side quests he's missing.
I actually really love how Dr. Wong calms and somewhat grounds Rick and gently yet firmly nudges him to introspect and change.
People saying they can’t notice rick’s voice change, while I’m sitting here noticing so many things. It wasn’t just the voice but it was also Justin’s dialogue delivery that made Rick awesome
Also, no hate to the new actor he is doing a phenomenal job. It’s not easy to replicate the voice 100 percent. But if it could get the dialogue delivery right. It’be awesome
I like how he grew as someone saying I don’t believe in therapy to telling someone who doesn’t believe in therapy he’s wrong dam
I miss morty and Rick together we got one scene where they actually talked to eachother and that was it
There's an understandable reason for that, rick did leave Morty for months with a fake version of himself and Morty taught he changed but then it revealed he was a robot so Morty probably lost some trust towards rick, he now has a side gig too (selling crystals) for rick and for himself maybe he's using it to distance from rick on purpose, but come on. You have like 7 episodes to see Morty, I'm sure they just wanna give the audience ricks perspective as of now.
