    So, vacuum technician here. Rainbows should never have any dust up inside of them unless the user is
    (A) not using enough water
    (B) not changing the water out before it gets too dirty
    (C) letting the water line drop below the minimum setting
    (D) running it on low speed (yes, this is true)
    (E) vacuuming NON-WATER SOLUBLE particles (like chalk, sheet rock, etc).
    - it looks like this is the main issue here.

    Poor rainbow 😂😅... but if you do maintain daily, the motor may last 10-15 years. Under normal circumstances, using rainbow for home cleaning as it is meant to be used it lasts 25-30 years.

    Honestly, a ShopVac would suit your needs much better than a boutique water vaccum. You can get a HEPA grade pleated filter and bag and not worry about whatever you pickup. Much cheaper as well.

    MASK , WEAR A MASK . Else black lung disease like a coal miner. There isn't just dust in the filters. There is also bacteria, fungi etc aside of that helpful and insightful.

    I work on Rainbow. Are you filling the water level correctly? I don’t think a Rainbow is suitable for your circumstances, unless you get a bigger tank (preferably the 4qt). For situations like that, Rainbow does sell a solution that may help. I highly recommend contacting your local dealer and adding a capful every tank, as it can help things like this from happening. Upgrade the water pan (often called the tank) and change water more frequently.
    Hope it helps!

      Hi, thanks for your comments. I do use the bigger water tank. And I do make sure it fills up to the right level. A lot does go into the water. I also have used the solution in the water that is supposed to help but I don’t see a difference honestly. I also have changed the water out frequently to see if that would help lessen the chalk dust in the filter but it doesn’t seem to help either. 😊 But I do agree that chalk isn’t good for any vacuum. But we have to use something. And so far the Rainbow has been amazing! It keeps doing it’s job everyday especially with the square footage that we have to vacuum. I do replace the HEPA filter every 3 months with a great discount through RainVac. I blow the Rainbow everyday and every 2 weeks I take the whole casing off and blow inside. Which it looks good inside in ways. But ya. So far it’s outlasting all other vacuums they have gone through. So we will see how long the rainbow lasts as well. Again thanks for your comments 😊!

      Get a shop vac!

      @@elizabethmadrigal4 unfortunately in your situation I would not be using Rainbow. Try a central vacuum, a decent commercial shop vac (not the cheap ones at the box stores) and use your rainbow for air purification or as a residential unit. While these machines are good and all, they are NOT for commercial use despite what they claim.

      I don't think Rainbow claims to be a commercial vacuum. Also I have tried a shop vacuum and even bought the expensive bag insert you can put in. The attachment for cleaning the floor was so cumbersome and the bag broke within 15 min of vacuuming and chalk dust blew everywhere. Quite a sight. Both your suggestion still require filter to be cleaned out regularly. I know the Rainbows life won't be as long as it would if we only used it in the home. But I've had no problems with the motor giving out every 4 month like the other vacuums they've used. And I've been using the rainbow for almost 11 months now. I know this is new territory for this vacuum and it's doing great so far. Thanks again :)

      @@ray3rdwardprimary894 actually, I use to fix and sell Rainbow as a certified dealer. Rainbow DOES boldly claim they are rated to be commercially used in a commercial environment. While yes this is true for hotels, it is for starters too small of a cleaning path to be effective time-wise and a few new SRX units I sold caught fire because people used it to pick up chalk and it fried the vacuum motor. If you want, a brand I’ve never been able to kill is Dynovac. I used one for auto detailing, and no matter what I did I could not kill it. E2 easily dies with chalk, but a Dynovac will not hesitate to keep going until it’s shut off manually. Bonus points for it not needing water, and you can exhaust it outside. You’ve probably never used a real commercial vacuum, and I understand nobody stoops to my level of finding the absolute perfect vacuum for almost any situation, as everyone needs a different machine. The Rainbow will serve you well as an air purifier, but hell no for chalk. You will destroy it, and it will catch fire. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen.

    ALTA is a Rock Climbing Gym. Therefore they have A lot of chalk on the carpeted pads. They have broken like 5 or more Orec Vacuums with clogged motors from the chalk. I made the videos to shows the workers how to blow the chalk out. So far so good if we stay on top of it daily. I love this vacuum. Built to last. 👍🏼

    I’m sort of taken back, I guess. Why are you using a Rainbow at your gym? I know gym chalk (looks like gym chalk) is very hard for any vacuum to deal with, but a water filtration vac is like the worst sort of vacuum to use in a situation like that.

    • @elizabethmadrigal4
      @elizabethmadrigal4  11 місяців тому

      Thanks for you suggestions. I feel like I know how to use the Rainbow pretty well. Most of the chalk does get into the water, I even use the bigger tank. And I have consulted with a Rainbow technician from RainVac and they agree that this is new territory for Rainbow because it is more designed for homes. But with all other vacuums failing at the rock climbing gym because of the chalk and their motors not being able to handle the work and amount of carpet we have to vacuum. I wanted to give Rainbow a try. I have no idea how long the motor will last but I figured if I maintained it daily then I should give it the best shot to last longer. Wish me luck! If you know another vacuum brand that would do better please let me know. 😊

    What did you clean to make that Rainbow so dirty?

    • @elizabethmadrigal4
      @elizabethmadrigal4  11 місяців тому

      It’s not dirty it’s just rock climbing chalk that didn’t get trapped in the water. Most of the chalk does get trapped. But that is why the don’t recommend chalk ever for vacuums. But we have no choice at the climbing gym so I just maintain it daily by blowing the filter and vacuum out. We’ll see how long it lasts.

    What does the sticker on the tape say?

    • @elizabethmadrigal4
      @elizabethmadrigal4  9 місяців тому

      The company they bought it from is RainVac. So they put their sticker on the Rainbow. I hope that answers your question. RainVac is a great online company.
