Nate, You are a wonderful Teacher! I so love going along on your hunts. Thank you🦘🦘😊
The obsidian you found is beautiful, I think you need a wheelbarrow to get all of the larger boulders back. Thank you f bringing us with you. X❤
you should see the big ones the vineyards in the area push up as gate decorations with the bulldozers, its crazy !
Beautiful specimens! OMG, those layers are spectacular. I always learn so much in your videos. Obsidian is the natural form of glass, of which I am obsessed with. Thanks for another wonderful video. 😘💞💗💖
im dreaming of finding local rainbow somewhere near to home, ive found it in tip form so not sure if its traded from a far or found here where I havnt located yet, the quest goes on !

I love Clear Lake and Konocti Inn...use to vacation there back in the 80s 🤭
Well that was just a wonderful episode and just so full of good information! I love obsidian and feel blessed to have spent most of my life, growing up on Mt Tabor, which is an extinct volcano right in the middle of Portland, OR. The whole mountain was basalt and obsidian. My mom had me outside trying to do yard work, and I pulled up old torn up pieces of landscape webbing and I was going to be laying down fresh webbing so I was trying to get as much of the old as I could , so it didn't get caught up in the rototiller. And I kept pulling out these large chunks of obsidian! There was a fair amount of basalt too, but that whole area was just covered in obsidian. I only found black myself but I know a few friends that found mahogany and I have seen snowflake obsidian around there as well. But no colored sheen or anything but I was so over obsidian by the time I finished the yard! It was a huge house on a huge piece of property and why I even told my mom I would do it for her, I don't know! But we had a pretty good sized pile of chunks of obsidian by the time I was done! Lol! But now we have glass butte and it has all the colors and different types, all in one place. And they are quality pieces too. But that was really an informative and super educational episode, and one of the cooler places to hound! Thank you Nate! Any day I can learn something new, is a good day! ❤
yes glass butte is insane , I hunt over at Davis creek area, south end of goose lake over the border south into Ca, the grayness there is top shelf.
I love going on your adventures with you. I used to live in Nice!
You have a very calming, chill, addicting vibe.
Love your energy.
Love when you say..take care of each other!
❤
Dream
nice is good metal detecting ! your close to the crystals and gold now, table mt, falls are perfect right now before the crowds : )
I could watch 3 more hours of you picking up obsidian. You are so blessed to live surrounded by so many beautiful types of rocks. Thank you for this video and I can't wait for the next one !!
I do feel super lucky, Its a never ending mixture and im sure ive only seen a tiny bit in all my wandering, thank you for questing with me !

Ha, one of my foster kittens just walked up to watch and is trying to catch your hand when in crosses the screen. LOL
thank you for taking care of them! I appreciate you !
i absolutely love obsidien!! It's so cool!
Such a cool spot to go picking through 😎😎😎 Some awesome big chunks that came home with you, love the striped ones
hoping to stumble onto sheen in the striped stuff, need to keep collecting and slice on angle, to have a source close would be so awesome ! thanks for checking out the finds !
Its always a lot of fun seeing what you are up to✌🤠✌@@QuestForDetails
Thanks Nate.....I was arrowhead hunting here in Indiana and found a chunk of obsidian the size of my palm and never found any more over the years, I thought it was strange
I love that it could have traded that far fro wherever it came from, so much lost history im always wondering !!
Thanks
Nice hunt. Definitely been missing the Sony. But it's still wondrous 😻
I couldn't ever get the Sony to shoot in higher than 760 , all the HD now is 1080 , 4 k , ect , but I do love the zoom in for sure, I spend massive energy now trying to get the close ups later with camera but often wonder if we should be hounding with the Sony.... its hard to know which my viewers would prefer, so I appreciate input, its all about what the viewer prefers to experience for sure so I would take advice from you all to get it perfect if I could. thank you !
@@QuestForDetails plus I dig the noise it makes when you zoom in 🙃😊
If you're spending that much more time and energy, I'd say go with the Sony in the next hunt, and ask the community what they prefer. You know my answer. I've never seen anyone capture the fine details in their finds like you did with the Sony. NE-VER
Me and en really enjoyed this video. Good job bro. That's some beautiful obsidian
I have been enjoying watching your videos on extracting the lake county diamonds from their pockets ! , those are massive and best footage of them coming from matrix ever !!
Beautiful scenery and fun quest❤
Snowflake obsidian?
Love your work brother ❤️🙏 all the way from Upstate NY 🗽🇺🇸
Obsidian is attractive to me, but i've never seen it coupled with moss. Oh my WOW! My eyes and thoughts are also at peace with the energy you captured from the scenery. I'm glad you didn't slice your fingers open 🙂Get some rest Nate, then rock on!!
I was sure I had cut sooo deep and was shocked to see it all ok when I looked, felt like they bent the rules a bit on that one to save me from my own stupid. those are the moments you feel blessed.
That's gotta be an awesome free flow feeling Nate. I hope to experience this!
What a wonderful area to look around and collect so many beautiful pieces of obsidian. It had to be hard not to fill more buckets on this day ! Awesome finds😊
I love mossy rocks too, in fact, I have moss paths I have grown through my yard and gardens.really like your channel
moss is like a gift nature bestows on your garden that just ices the cake in the best way !
That was fun! 👌💥
cheers ! thank you for checking it out ! we got such a fun state to wander !!
Great finds and informative
nice stuff there
Love the stripes. Thank you.
Any diamonds to be found, Nate? 💎
near, about 15 mile uphill from there is the main known hunting areas.
Hey I’m located in Mendocino county and would love to know where to stop and look around
if you can message me on my instagram I can drop you some pins on google maps fr sure !
Clearlake is a caldera.
Do you have a segment on polishing obsidian? I found a fist-sized chunk in my back yard in Santa Rosa. It has a cool bright green blob on it and I have a rotary tumbler …but just want to see how someone else tumbles a single large piece
I have some opaque green obsidian. Have you ever found any green?
No not from around this zone, but did find a tool with some in it...
Whats your go to brand for pruning?
Bacho Pradines ! they might feel funny in you grip at first but you'll never go back , just broke mine after 15 years, nothing else feels the same now, they are so well designed to use the levers of your grip it makes the cuts like butter, might have to order from over seas theses days, havnt seen them in stores in long time, French I believe.
