We both want to say a massive thank you for all the support, generosity, and inspiration over the last two years. We hope you enjoy this huge tutorial and if you like it, please feel free to Subscribe to the channel or leave a Like. Cheers, Dunc & Rog
@@DuncanRhodesDRPA No problem! I actually wrote a comment on your video once, (the black templar crusader one) and you answered, by suggesting i start an army of those. I did. They are amazing, Thank you!
Fun Fact, when Duncan was applying was around the Rivets and seams, we actually have to do that IRL on aircraft. It seems long on a model, imagine how long it takes on a aircraft fuselage with 10,000 bolts in just the main barrel.
Close family friend used to work for Fairchild, had some stories about the A-10 and the pains of building them. And years later after joining the Marine Corps I came to appreciate the CAS pilots and the BRRRT! they bring...
Crazy to think I've been watching this guy do his own thing for 2 years. It still feels like yesterday I was watching him tell me to thin my pains and a GW shirt. He looks happy and I'm happy for him. Keep killing it my man!
I just want to say thank you Duncan. When I discovered your old GW paint videos back In 2017 it inspired me to get back into miniature war games for the first time in 20years and it helped me learn core painting techniques. Without your videos I would have never been bold enough to continue learning more painting styles, thank you so much! I think I can speak for everyone and say you and all your affiliates who bring us great content have been a shining grace (Elden ring pun) for us all in these difficult times.
I'm a relatively regular watcher, I remember the GW days and being extremely unhappy to see the replacement guy and hear his voice. Then I found out that you have your own channel now and started binge-watching your videos every once in a while. Unfortunately, I cannot paint stuff myself and substitute it with your guides. Thanks for the fun times!
do you have any videos on tyranids colours schemes? cause should see the state of them 😆. oh adding the colours you use in the screen is absolutely fantastic again thank you for your videos keep up the great work dude!
Two years?! Guess it's time I got a membership. 15 minutes later.......wow, you guys have been busy. Looking forward to watching all of your Xenos, ASOIAF, and Historical tutorials!
The Warhammer painting tutorials were not the same after you left, and I unsubbed when Games Workshop attacked the fandom. I haven't missed them at all. You were the Canary in the coal mine. That was clear to me now. I'm glad to see how successful you've been in the past two years, and hope there are many more to come! Cheers!
Seriously can't believe two years have gone bye already 😅. Awesome to see you guys are going just as strong, looking forward to many more years of content.
Congrats on the 2 years. I'm happy to support your site. You always put out good content and break it down enough that even I feel like I can follow along and give it a go.
I know this is two years late. I tried, i really really tried. I saw this and was convinced it was the coolest paintjob I ever saw. I ran out and got a Baneblade, built it, primed it and admired the beast. Then i started painting and now i just want to throw it away. It looks nothing like this. the bands are so hard to align. The paint doesnt dry clean, its streaky, I can't deather it worth a damn. This video gave me hope. and now it's crushed,
43:40 that brown gunk reminds me of grease residue you’d get around the track tensioner on my real life APC as it would attract dust and sand no matter how careful you were to clean excess away. Same for the bolts on the road wheels.
What a wonderful tutorial. I like the method of applying the camo without an airbrush while still getting a level of feathering. This tank nerd is pleased by your efforts :P
Excellent video; inspiring! I greatly appreciate the improvement in voice narration, slowed down the speech and clearer ennunciation - I can now follow the important voice guide. Thank you for your continued production and helpful videos!
Great vid! perfectly timed too, I have been considering getting a baneblade, I was umming and ahing mostly because of the price, this vid and the work involved convinced me that I'm going to save my money.
Congratulations on 2 years of great painting tutorials, your tutorials inspired me to paint my very first squad of infiltrators. P. S. The baneblade looks great
Beautiful. I have often wished that GW would make guard OP on the tabletop so that the majority of players collected guard, it naver makes sense that there are more marines out there than guard. I was very happy to see the plastic DKoK.
Amazing paint job...I dug up the old salamander fellblade I think 3 years in the pile of half finished stuff were enough. I wish I could get my hands on the salamanders themed resin doors because I'm not that good at sculpting.
If you're someone looking for ways to speed up some of those smaller things, base coating the wax of the seal pure white and putting some Blood Angels Red contrast helps to give a nice looking seal very simply.
Tanks awesome video, you can teach an old dog new tricks, but you can do more weathering, but Question has done a video with a Leman Russ or a Super Heavy with aggressive damage of shell strikes large-caliber way down to the metal coverings? Cheers from Downunder Bob
What an amazing paintjob for that huge tank! I someday want to own one, just to say I do. Also, can't wait to get my Kickstarter stuff and get to using those Two Thin Coats paints! :D I've even got an idea for using Sir Coates as an Eldritch Knight in DnD (magic paintbrush anyone?).
Appreciate the content Sir Duncan and I am glad you are doing well! 😃 I learned a lot from this video and I hope to apply these techniques myself with my Tau Army. I am curious if you are willing to do a video about painting any Big Tau Battlesuits like the Riptide, Stormsurge, or even a Supremacy Armor 😁 I was a big fan of your Ghostkeel demonstration with GW many years ago and was wondering how I can make the battlesuits I just mentioned stand out more. TYVM HF and stay healthy 👍

YOU FORGOT TO PRIME THE TANK!
Oh my god. I cant believe it has already been 2 years! What a journey!! My Emperor! Congratulations!
Thank you!!

You did not just say My Emporer unironically
@@saucefreakystyle by all means did not
Two thin years! Two thin years!!
Congrats! Here’s to many more!
You got there first 😂
When I saw that there were only 4 comments, I knew what I had to do, haha. 😝
I wish you two all the best!
Better than one thick year XD
Painting a thing of THAT size THAT well without an airbrush is a feat in itself. What a gorgeous Baneblade !
Fun Fact, when Duncan was applying was around the Rivets and seams, we actually have to do that IRL on aircraft. It seems long on a model, imagine how long it takes on a aircraft fuselage with 10,000 bolts in just the main barrel.
Boilermaker here.... Never-Seize around every bolt in the refinery.... ugh
Close family friend used to work for Fairchild, had some stories about the A-10 and the pains of building them. And years later after joining the Marine Corps I came to appreciate the CAS pilots and the BRRRT! they bring...
Oof. You earned your pay there.
Yup. They say over 3 million points of failure on a 737.

Wow, thank you for the kind words. Ill pass your thanks on to Rog too 😊
Yikes, time flies and what a good two years you've had! Congratulations!
It sure does! And thank you 😊
Large vehicles are always a welcome sight, so I am happy to see what an expert will do to them! Congrats on 2 years already.
2 years huh? The older we get the faster the time seems to fly by. Here's to many more good years with this awesome hobby! 👍
Wow, 2 years already, congratulations both of you! Here's to many more!

It's our pleasure
Oh my Baneblades are just the best things to seen done i've got to watch every minute!
By the emperor, I stopped painting for roughly 2 years and I come back to it and find this academy. Well done!
How perfect. I've got a baneblade to complete by Saturday. This will direct my focus perfectly!
Take a moment to give huge props to this man for shading every nut and bolt
That shows true patients
😂 it sure does lol
Congrats on the 2 years! I expected this video to be of you just washing all the rivets. Thankfully it was a complete guide for the entire tank
Oh damn that is a chonker :D
Really great to see some vehicles as well.
Love the content.
dude you have brought back my inspiration!! I stopped my miniatures about 10 years ago watching g your vids are wanting me to start back up.
Go for it! It's a fun way to relax and a great hobby all round 😊
do you have any videos on tyranids colours schemes? cause should see the state of them 😆.

Been waiting for exactly this!!! THANKYOU!

You are a true hobby hero Duncan, thank you for everything you've done , it's appreciated!
Superb job, this is the kind of tutorial I will follow when I finally assembled and painted my own Baneblade. Congrats for the two years celebration.
Awesome, thank you!
2 years, bloody hell.... times flies!
Congarts guys well deserved and i hope the paint range pops off!
"it's been amazing"
"no you are"

IT IS THE BANE BLADE!

Thank you for this special painting guide!!
What a wonderful tutorial. I like the method of applying the camo without an airbrush while still getting a level of feathering. This tank nerd is pleased by your efforts :P
This kit has been out for a while but I still can't get over how much of a huge beast it is. I don't even play Guard but I think it's super cool.
Well done my friend, come a long way since joking around with Peachy and the lads
Bust out the bubbly!
Wouldn’t mind seeing you guys do a genestealer baneblade.
Congrats on 2 years chaps.
You are probably my favorite UA-camr because you are so incredibly talented and seem so nice. I hope you’ll always these videos.
Thank you so much!! We aim to keep going as long as possible. Thank you for the kind words.
Whoops I forgot to write „make“ before „these videos“
Glad to see your doing well. Hope to see your paint line on shelves soon. Wish I could’ve backed it up. Can’t wait to see what else comes out
Thank yo uDavid. We are currently working on the second wave right now.
Happy anniversary, many more to come!
Damn! That glass effect on the searchlight is just.. mmmm *cheff kiss*
Awesome!! Time to brew a cup of tea and sit down and enjoy
Enjoy! In fact, we may just brew a cup for ourselves too ☕☕☕
Two years?! *looks at watch* I slept too loooong!
Seriously, though, congratulations on the Milestone, lads. A toast to your continued success 🍻
Thanks a ton! 🍻

Absolutely Outstanding video & Painting Tecniques. The detail is Amazing! 👍
Incredible work as always Duncan 👍🔥
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing tutorial, thank you. Congratulations on your 2 years!
Thanks so much!
Congrats guys! Cant wait to get the paints from the kickstarter to get back into painting 40k after 20 years
Good show on lots of techniques! Nice work, as always.
Glad you liked it!
Congratulations!
Happy 2nd anniversary!
We know to be such needy lovers with all the paints, minis and other requests, but thanks for treating us well
You are so welcome!
Great vid! perfectly timed too, I have been considering getting a baneblade, I was umming and ahing mostly because of the price, this vid and the work involved convinced me that I'm going to save my money.
Doing this w/ my old BB, bringing it up to standard with the rest of my FKOK force
Back to this video to finish the job
Congrats on two years!!! Best in the business
Thank you so much for the kind words Daniel 😊
Picked up some new tricks. Thanks Duncan.
34:38 you can also use masking tape. Remember to remove some of the tapes stickiness on a table
Tamiya masking tape also works great. It's made for modelling so it'll stick but doesn't take of any paint.
I was worried it is an aprils fool joke. Thanks Duncan!
For washing step, enamel washes do wonders.
just fantastic! phenomenal work Duncan!
Thank you! Cheers!
Congratulations on 2 years of great painting tutorials, your tutorials inspired me to paint my very first squad of infiltrators.
P. S. The baneblade looks great
With your eyes closed and a big smile, by the look of things!
I like the fact that even though he has his own paint range he doesn’t limit himself to just them
Really spectacular, thank you for the video and thank you for doing a Baneblade!
Congratulation for 2 years of great success! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Will do!
Congrats on two years!
Thank you 😊
Cant wait to see squats painted here!
Let's do it!
I voted for this model! Yeah 😁
Excellent video! Thank you for your hard work!
Nice job on the Walletbane.
Congrats!!!
Great video and great timing as my friends at work have just convinced me to start a DKK armoured force. :)
Congrats!!!! and Thank you for the tutorial.
Yo, that is bad ass! Well done.
You guys are really awesome...👍
Thank you so much 😀 So are you 😀
🔥🎸🔥
Rock'n!!!
Guys use oils to shade recesses, especially in mechanic models like this, is a gamechanger.
An amazing tutorial
watching this as an armor modeler is so fascinating.
Beautiful.
I have often wished that GW would make guard OP on the tabletop so that the majority of players collected guard, it naver makes sense that there are more marines out there than guard. I was very happy to see the plastic DKoK.
Still outlandish that it’s $50 for a box of 10 infantry, and it’s for kill team
Congrats guys! Love the channel.;)
Thanks Duncan, really helped me put paint to models :) Keep it up!
Thank you , DRPA .
🐺

Spellcrow do some parts that would be perfect. Spellcrow call them Salamandra.
Would love to see your take on Grey Knights but not in silver but in acutal grey as alternate color scheme. And congrats to the 2 years! ,:)
So efficient! Awesome
Perfect work !!!
What is the name of your theme song? Congrats on two very successful years! Here’s to a life time more.
How the heck has it been two years already?! Keep up the fantastic work Duncan and Roger! I’ll be here for as long as you are!
Pretty great.

wowza that's a good price for your monthly membership to the website, I think I know what I'm going to be signing up for when I get payed next week
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
i am painting my first cadian 75th shadowsword latter this month so this is really helpful i haven't painted in yeaaaars haha whis me luck
Tanks awesome video, you can teach an old dog new tricks, but you can do more weathering, but Question has done a video with a Leman Russ or a Super Heavy with aggressive damage of shell strikes large-caliber way down to the metal coverings? Cheers from Downunder Bob
Could you by any chance do a video on painting a painboy? I'll be painting one soon and I'm just looking for ideas and tips
Very, very nice !
I wish you will show us, one day, how to paint buildings :)
this is an incredibly talented paint job. Although I dont know how okay kreigsmen would be with putting anything in cammo.
Very cool.
Great video! Would you do a video on grey knights next? Really looking forward to learning from it!
What an amazing paintjob for that huge tank! I someday want to own one, just to say I do.
