If you didn't see my tutorial on how to make beading needles watch it here: • How to make beading Ne...
    Twisted wire beading needles:
    are easy to make
    are easy to thread
    are not expensive to make
can be used with large thread like embroidery floss
can pass through 11/0 seed beads many times if using 6lb. fireline
can be bent into a j shape and used with a bead spinner
you can't get stabbed by them like you can with regular beading needles
Bad things about twisted wire beading needles:
they bend to easily which isn't to bad considering I mostly use monofilament and it bends too
you can't use them in bead embroidery because they aren't sharp
they don't work with seed beads smaller than 11/0 like 15/0 won't fit on this needle

You are awesome. First I've never seen the twisted needles before. But love them. Love the big eye. Love the fact that you can use it with heavier cord. Plus when you break a needle you can just go make another one. Thank you thank you thank you. Thank for the bead spinner demo. I have the same one. I can work it but I'm going to try your way of loading the needle. I never get that many beads on at one time. I'm always learning something from you. Thank you so much for sharing.

Big eye needles are my absolute favorite! They are easy to thread, great for bead weaving, and cheap at hobby lobby

X for fraying thread, you can also use wax. Just grab a candle, hold the thread between your thumb and the candle, and pull the thread down to the end.

I buy my fireline at Walmart it is the cheapest place to find 125yd. it's in the sporting goods section. I can't find wildfire where I live so that's why I use fireline.

Where do you buy your fireline? I get mine at walmart 125yd. $16.00 fishing selection. I use monofilament but it doesn't work in every design. There are designs that you have to use thread for and there are designs that work better with monofilament. These are the monofilaments I use along with there diameters 6lb. dia. .010 and 8lb. dia. .011 and 10lb. dia. .012 My favorites are 8lb. and 10lb. because they are very strong and stiff enough that the ends can be used as needles.

Yes, I used them in the daisy chain stitch.

I once made fringed earrings using a fireline. Once the fringe bent, it never straightened out again, like plastic. It didn't have fluid movement. So I went back to nymo. I once used dandyline and had good results. But for bracelets and other projects fireline would be good. It is frustrating when not using the right thread for a certain project. Thank you for your video, I learned a lot.

Im using the needle that came with the Darice spinner and they are flimsy as hell😩😩 I only got 2 beads on there after trying for 15minutes..wondering if I need a better needle. Your video is awesome..you were very thorough

I love wildfire as much as I love the fireline. Fireline is much thinner and stronger but sometimes hard to find, so when I cant find it, I use the wildfire. I tried the dandy line only once and never tried it again as I did not like the fraying. Bugle beads caused it to fray on me. Thanks for the video. As usual you are a great teacher. Happy New Year to you!

Thank you for this vid. Do you know if there is a lessor expensive thread for beading. I generally use Fireline, but it's so expensive. I've heard that some people use fishing line. Are you familiar with this?

Is the Fireline you have waxed? I ordered the Fireline for Jewelry making and it was waxed. Does it make a difference if its waxed or not?

Was so irritated that I couldn't find any long curved beading needle because they're been discontinued. But ma'am this is better! The end of my needle kept breaking where it was soldered. if you don't have a patent on this design, GET ONE QUICK! And make Darice and all the rest of the big names pay you. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

I use Fireline all the time and I'm hooked on it. I use Fireline when I need strength and then switch to a good nylon thread like Superlon if I need fluid movement for dangling beads. Superlon is MUCH better than Nymo. I love Fireline and I can buy 125 yards of it for about $15.00 at Walmart in the fishing section. Thanks for showing me how to make my own beading needles!!
