It's actually quite shocking that it still works. If only the network execs had just let the actual talent do their thing, maybe G4 wouldn't have fucking TANKED.
i love how g4tv feels like it never went away, like they just went to sleep for a little while, woke up and back to the swing of nothings like nothing happened, it has the same feel as back then and i love that Sessler is doing his thing again, i could honestly shed a tear from the wave of nostalgia im feeling.
This is the type of skit and programming I missed from Adam and G4. I'm sure this took a insane number of time to put together for under 20 minutes. Thank you. I really appreciate at.
Best skyrim moment was from my wife's playthrough. She was about to stealth kill some bandits but decided to change her arrow type, seeing she had 1 iron arrow in her inventory she dropped it and switched to another. As the arrow fell, one of the bandits proceeded to walk towards her while she was still stealth and picked up the arrow. He handed it back to her saying she dropped it and walked back to his friend. She then switched back to the iron arrow and shot him with it.
Similar, watching my wife one shot a bandit with an arrow across a valley. She was shooting from one mountain down toward a tower and dropped that bandit like a pro. My response: "...and why don't we play more shooters together? You are deadly" :)
My favorite memory was being able to dual weird spells and melee. I had so much fun with that mechanic that I went a full hour before picking up a bow and crouching for the rest of the game.
After getting a good gaming PC 2 years ago, I bought rebought Skyrim Special Edition for like 10 bucks and started learning how to install mods. It got me completely hooked shortly after lol
To be fair the elder scrolls and fallout games while great games have always been more a framework for fan made content then a actual game I don't actually know anyone who played vanilla for more then it took them to do a basic run hitting most of the main quests. Heck I'm fully convinced the reason they launch with so many bugs is because they know fans will sort it out and patch them fairly quickly
I've only made it to right before the party at the embassy in the main quest line. Been play testing all kinds of side quests while trying to finish adding mods to my load order. Almost done now.... oh, a new statue mod....
This is the content I've been looking for. Sure, singular content creators are great but seeing a group of folks have fun and just kill it is was it's all about. Glad to see G4 back in action!
I gotta say, this format appealing to both gamers new to certain IP's and the so called "geriatric millenial" gamers familiar with the properties is grade A familiar and refreshing. Glad G4 is back!
Being able to watch X-Play skits on my lunch break again is all I ever wanted, right next to playing Skyrim Switch at work. Finally dual wielding after all this time, thanks G4
My favorite skyrim memory is being about halfway down a cave towards the center of the earth, dead dwarven kingdom technology attacking me and strange swirling colors lighting up the hallways before I realized I was invested way too deep to go back for a health potion
God I love G4. The fact that it still feels like the same show/vibes, after such a long hiatus too, makes me so happy. Seeing Adam and Kevin on my screen again, within minutes of eachother, makes me so happy.
Good Lord, people. You touched my heart. The Heart I left in Skaal Village, Solsteim when I abandoned that stupid quest to find the Bear/Man's brother, or some crap. But my favorite Skyrim story involves a time my son (now 22) and I still recall with glistening eyes. To keep it short, he helped me deal with a poorly timed Save where I continually re-spawned on a mountaintop against several humanoid enemies, including the most powerful mage I ever encountered in the game. Leaving out the details, I watched my son, then about 15, execute a strategy involving such a complex combination of physical and magic attacks and shouts that I felt really proud of him. We both cried out in awe when he finished the job shouting the mage off the mountainside to his death by falling damage. It was beautiful.
Skyrim is amazing until you see a bug. Then you see them everywhere and start to worry until your save file is corrupted and every playthrough after causes stress because it turns out theres 100's of ways to screw up your game.
It actually makes a pretty big difference playing it with enhanced graphics. The 360 it was revolutionary. But it just makes the nostalgia a little better with added visuals.
I remember watching G4 when they announce Skyrim at E3, reviewed it on X-Play, fawned over it on AOTS. That memory is why I’m so excited about G4. I’m ready to have my dealer back, so they can help addict me to new games so I can get over my Skyrim addiction.
I am glad you guys are back, how I missed this show. Remember this show when I was a kid. What’s crazy is I never played a Skyrim elder scrolls game, don’t know wasn’t that suit my apatite and still till this day dont care for the game.
My favorite Skyrim Memory: I was on chat with a buddy of mine while he was playing and we were both having a really nice time just telling each other how the others' journey through the game has been. While I was talking to him, I started a pretty tense fight with a dragon. The dragon got up and flew away to hit me from above, and while I was avoiding it I was completely blindsided. A second one slammed into the ground in front of me. It was a hard fought two on one but I came out on top.
I remember Bethesda gave SE away if you already had the old legendary edition. The sad part was my modded setup looked better that SE did lol. Wasn't nearly as stable of course, but after transferring that setup to SE holy crap it was beautiful. Edit. Omfg they reused the old dragon gag. Perfection. Glad y'all are back.
My first playthrough was Destruction, Restoration, Heavy Armor, Enchanting, Alchemy, and Blacksmithing. Free master destruction and resto, no points in stamina because I could refill my stamina with quick heal, which was also free. And every playthrough since has been a stealth archer.
My favorite Skyrim memory is the first time I watched a sunrise in the game. It was so gorgeous and I was just blown away at how detailed it was and how lifelike it felt.
I fuckin screamed seeing Completionist and Adam Sessler in the same room. It's like two separate childhoods from the same timeline crossing over. My brain can't handle it.
I love how the subtitles have their own narrative going. I use subtitles all of the time for everything I watch and it's nice when the subtitles kind of have a mind of Their Own.
Adam I hope you don’t take this the wrong way. I mean it in the most sincere flattering way. I love how much older you are than everybody that you work with LOL. Your voice is one that I feel I can trust and it gives me hope for maybe working in an industry increasingly saturated with youngsters.
I dont think I can thank you guys enough for these videos. G4 back in the day literally got me through my days after school. Watching these skits feels like im being taken back in time to those very simple days.
I'm playing through the Xbox 360 version at the moment lmao. I am an Imperial specializing in one-handed combat and heavy armor. I'm a tank that swings an axe like a maniac toward my enemies
Great video, Adam. I first met you way back at the Star Wars Celebration II in Indianapolis. You were covering the development of Star Wars Galaxies (among other things). It was long enough ago that we both had hair back then! 😄 You guys are doing great things with G4. 👍

oh this takes me back, I didn't know about G4 till my 2nd year of middle school (that's when we got cable), there were times I would fake sick just so I could stay home and watch G4
Best Skyrim moment was from my wife's first playthrough. The game glitched during the first quest in Riverwood, meaning she never got the prompt to go to Whiterun. She proceeded to spend the next 80+ hours or so doing literally every questline you could possibly do without setting foot there. It was very impressive, would recommend trying at least once!
Kevin looks like he had one of those in-game aging filters applied. Glad X-Play and G4 are back, forgot how much I missed them. No hard feelings Kev, I'm looking worse for wear myself...
Great Skyrim memories? Uhhhhhh. Debatable on the great part, but launching Skyrim on a 4GB tower in 2011 with an integrated GPU, and not being able to continue the game, because I couldn't read symbols on one of the game's earliest puzzles on the lowest graphics settings..... Potato....was an understatement.
@@ZenDragoonYT At 640x480 res on a terrible tube monitor in 2011....yeah, but no go. The game ran so bad at potato settings that I let it go anyways. It's so good to see to see Adam and Morgan again, but that end skit just killed me especially with the dragon flying over LA, pure gold Welcome back X-Play and G4TV
Between my two characters on the 360, I sunk over 1400 hours. The only reason why I stopped was because every time I fast traveled, A bunch of enemies would spawn in he center of town and kill a bunch of NPC's that I didn't know carried quests lol
Skyrim aside, this kind of commentary, humor and skits is why I loved G4. Hopefully the relaunch is a success and we get more content like this
I'm pretty sure it will be...
Came here to make a similar comment, but you said it well. I've never played Skyrim and enjoyed this entire video.
If only it had Mario's Jewish brother Luigi in it or drunk link.
I just want Cinematech back

11:48 is hands down the best live action death-fall I've seen. Thank you X-Play, I've truly missed these shenanigans

Will Neff is the man

I don't know where the hyphen went, but I'm SO glad that Xplay is back! The sketches, the interviews... oh man. Bless you, G4TV and Sessler
New Mandela effect
Berate anyone for not being high enough dps lately?
Morgan Webb took it in the split.
Looks like most people don't care. They have pretty low viewing numbers.
Nah. Adam likely hates you, if his last 8 years on twitter are indication. He hates gaming and gamers and only came back to fund his cocaine habit.
“You’ll be playing the same stealth archer no matter how many times you try to do a full run as a mage.”
I felt that in my soul.
Even if your in plate, there all deff qpperntly.

Muken's Arcane Archery
Because you need 100 archery just to finish a certain quest in the game.
I needed to hear this. I feel validated, lol.
Insane how much it feels like G4 never left. I'm so glad it's back.
I hoping it's the early 2000s G4 and not the later one.

Seeing that mountain mist for the first time and realizing the utter vastness of the playable area. That's my favorite Skyrim moment.
Love that X play sketches are back. They practically made the foundation of my sense of humor as a teenager.
I never thought of how much X-Play and AOTS influenced geek humor but they were practically the SNL of nerds
This skit brought back good memories from my teenage years watching Xplay at night.
