Thank you for the info! I've had my ice chest freezer for 5 years now. I love it because there are 2x2ft blocks of ice that shock my body, and good for rehabilitation after skim boarding. The issue is that the compressor goes out every two years because it's not made for it. I love your set up, but wish it got colder!!
Great review! What size GPH pump are you running with this setup?
800GPH
Solid review, thanks. I'm debating the Mod Tub or the Ice Barrel 300 (when they release their chiller.)
Excited to check that chiller out as well!
I just got my modtub
I received my modtab within a week, but what about the ice barrel?
Is the water coming out of the chilller supposed to be close to what you set it at?I just set mine up and it’s not much colder than the ambient temp..maybe it takes a bit?
Do u think true 1-10 horsepower would do good on your plunge ?
Does it need a Pump? Many reviews say it does?
Thank for this review, I’m looking to take one, but 1/2 or 1/4x w
Why don’t use the 1/2 hp chiller ??
It's more expensive and probably not necessary
can you use it indoor
What does the 1/10 get down too ?
I tried getting this on Amazon but they don’t ship to Sweden 😢
Is it rated for outdoor use ?
History
How long does it take to chill to around 42 degrees?
Depends on the air temp outside... id say like 5 hours with 70 degree air temps
This may be a stupid question, but would this be possible to use this with a portable ice bath?
yup, just need a pump
@@PlungeReviews do you have any Amazon links to the pump??
just added to the description :)@@showtimemouse
@@PlungeReviews appreciate your help, I had one more last question, my cold plunge doesn’t have 2 holes to connect to the hoses for the water chiller would it be possible for me to just directly stick the hoses into the cold plunge?
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "stick the hoses in" ... what type of ice bath are you using?
@@showtimemouse
How long does it take to go from room temperature to around the 40 degrees?
depends on how hot it is outside, and how insulated the tub is, but like 15 hours or so
Does this have built in pump?
Nope

Literally reading off a script, csn see tour eyes going side to side 😂

I bought a Mountain Top Recovery unit and the chiller isn't working correctly. Have you ever reviewed their product? I need to get the chiller repaired and wondering where to go or who to call? I think the company went out of business.
