- My interpretation of a Do It Yourself camping bed for my Volkswagen Touran.
Thanks to Sebi for the help with the box, my Mum for sewing the mattres cover, Dani, Dave and Manu for filming.

Thanks, you're right, Blender is kind of hard to use at the beginning... I'll see if I find some time in the next days and measure the box again and then provide a plan with the most important measurements...

Hey, schaut echt sauber aus der Umbau. Sehr cool!
Hab auch einen gemacht, aber als Leichtbauvariante. Ist ein bißchen mehr Arbeit ihn aufzubauen, aber alle Sitze sind normal benutzbar während der Fahrt.
Ich würd gern wissen, ob die beiden hinteren Sitze bei Euch nutzbar sind, wenn das Bett nicht aufgebaut ist und die Matratze im Kofferraum liegt.
Hey, ja man kann die hinteren Sitze nutzen und quasi zu 4t mit Bett fahren. Allerdings ist der vordere Teil der Matratze ein gutes Stück länger als der hintere, d.h. man muss die Matratze "falten" bzw. an einem Ende umbiegen. Das klappt zwar, man sieht dadurch aber hinten nicht mehr raus... ich hab mir auch schon mal überlegt 3 Teile aus der Matratze zu machen, aber bisher sind wir eh immer zu 2t gefahren.

Hi! Finde deine Variante echt super und will für diesen Sommer auch einen Camper aus meinem touran machen. Hab die Materialien besorgt und frage mich gerade was ihr mit dem mittleren Rücksitz gemacht habt. Ist der nur umgeklappt oder abmontiert?
sienna86 Hi, den mittleren Rücksitz hab ich einfach raus. Man kann bei meinen Touran jeden Sitz mit ein paar Handgriffen raus nehmen. Das geht aber glaube ich mit dem neuesten Modell nicht mehr
What was the whole cost? I'm starting to thinking about make one for my own :)
I think it was about 120 € for wood, 100 € for the matress and some more for paint and minor utilities...

Ich würde allerdings empfehlen, nochmal am eigenen Auto nachzumessen, da sich je nach Ausstattung Abweichungen ergeben können.

Sorry 4 late... bin gerade immer noch etwas eingespannt, aber ich merks mir für morgen Abend vor, der Einbau steht eh gerade vor dem Haus. Du solltest dann aber bei dir nochmal nachmessen. Es gibt wohl verschiedene Modelle vom Touran, die sich etwas unterscheiden können...
